If the Sox are gonna be cheap on players and spend a ton on the manager...I'll be pissed. The important thing is getting the players back and getting a new middle infield. You know Ozzie and Backman can be had for cheap and I think either would be solid.

Pat Gillick. Well I was giving my own vote of confidence Gillick should be hired by someone...he's an exceptional gm.

I got a really good feeling about Reed. Its very rare for me to believe highly in a rookie. I don't think you should ever expect a rookie to come in and dominate, but if I would pick any to do so for the Sox it would be Reed. The kid has a great discipline, great speed, a smooth swing and he seems to get better as he faces better players. The big thing is, he isn't gonna get himself out.

Thats freaking pathetic on the Cubs part. All those whiffs are why I thought they would suck this year...but when you got pitching...you can overcrome a lot. Which is why I'm still baffled at how the Sox didn't make it.

Iowa is extremely banged up. Their entire recieving core is basically out (Well Hinkel and Jones) while they are missing Sanders and a few other key players on defense.

Well the taxpayers don't relaly pay for it. It is paid for by from the hotel tax or something like that. As far as Angelo...if this team has Washington and Colvin it wouldn't make a difference. The defense sucked last year and it sucks this year and it has a whole lot to do with the scheming of Greg Blache...one of the stupidest defensive coordinators out there. Jauron was never that great of a DC either, which is why I was always baffled on how the hell he got hired in the first place. Shoop is a dummy too, but he ain't as dumb as the head coach and the DC. Lets also remember Sweatman who sucks. The wedge doesn't work..every team in the NFL knows how to stop it yet the Bears continue to run that ancient return scheme. On the bright side Briggs was inserted into the starting lineup. Now when the hell does Gage start to see some time and when do we see some Michael Haynes. The Bears also benched Zoom (Well he's gonna replace Merrit on Kick Returns) and Tillman (Whom I like a whole lot) is gonna be the starting cb alongside McQuarters (Who should of been cut).

Thats dissapointing, but a good sell job could be the trick.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. You could make that move...pay some salary increases and bring in a new shortstop. You may even be able to work Carlos Guillen or someone like that into the deal so you could fill one of your middle infield slots.

Go Hawkeyes. They look like they have a pretty good front court this year and I like their back court with the two young guards. Alford is due to get things together. I've heard they have been playing really good when they went down under during the offseason. I'm excited...I think Alford can bring the program to the next level...thus far he hasn't...but I got a good feeling it will start this year.

Thats what they are working on with him. Don't look for him to get a ton of innings. I think the only reason he is there is to work on that pitch as well as hone some of his other secondary pitches. Hopefully we'll get a report from Neal after a few outings

I agree to a degree as well. If you ask me, (I know you didn't, but here goes anyway...), the federal government should stay the hell out of education. Show me in the preamble where it says "Provide for the education..." It's just another way for the education system to get screwed up. Let the states handle it. oh yeah..... because the states do a much better job at handling educational ideals....... just wait till your daughter starts school.. youll see what im talking about....... these kids are off like every other day for some stupid s*** or another.. they should be in school all year long till they graduate highschool....... Just cause you want more days off from them doesn't mean you need to make us youngsters suffer by going to school everyday jas i think you misunderstood me.. i dont want them off for more days.. they are off enough already..... they need to stay in school longer ....... Lol...no I meant that you want them to be in school all day so you get a few extra days off
