Oh ya Cerb, read Moneyball, damn I lost a lot of respect for Beane.
-
Oh, you mean read a post right? Click on the title of the post and it will take you to it.

What letter thing? You mean private messages?

Why the heck would Rauch be on that list. They must know something we don't. I'm guessing Reed, Honel and Wing are those guys? Maybe Borchard. I'm really interested. I hope that doesn't mean were willing to give up 3 good guys.
-
Well I want to know who is on it. I hope Reed isn't on there nor Webster. Rauch can go, imo. I'm going to be nervous till I know for sure.
-
Just heard it. Now give us the stinking names.
-
Diaz, Ginter and someone like meaux would make some sense.
-
Alright Mike , but your scaring the hell out of me. To think in just a month we will be on our road trip I'm glad to be back from Iowa. I think Iowa is more boring then Texas (Sorry Heads and Officer Kar and anyone else from Iowa). I'm ready to hear the names too.
-
I can only hope we can get a taker via trade. Does Jimenez have options left? If so it is alright I don't want to lose him for nothing though. I really am a Jimenez fan.
-
This is awesome news in regards to the trade if it isn't anyone good, but what the hell are they waiving Jimenez for. This guy shouldn't be going anywhere and at worse you could trade him for a reliever. Come on KW, get your head out or you butt on this waiving of Jimenez. HE has a high obp, and is real talented and would be an asset off of our bench. I'd rather ship Harris to the minors.
-
Baggs great having you back and its great to hear how excited your are about the Sox. I am too
-
Well, I had my one trade everything a way a while ago, but I always said that was if the Sox weren't willing to make things happne which I thought they weren't. Obviously they were willing to and I'm really excited. Still need to add a reliever, imo.

Thus far for a pool of minor leaguers, nothing announced yet. Jimenez must be a part of it. Also I heard Buehrle on Fox Sports Radio on the way home from the airport and he was talking how excited he was about adding Alomar. He also talked about what a great addition Walker has been and really attribued the change in the team to Walker coming over. Said its been a big help to the offense.

I just got an email from the Barons announcing the trading of Royce Ring, Almonte and Salvo. haven't heard anything in regards to this latest trade.
-
Supposedly its a pool of minor leaguers the Rangers will be chosing from. This is really interesting and really exciting. I can only hope I'll be happy after I hear the names. Ring is a good prospect, Almonte is a fringe guy Salvo is nothing compared to what we have at that position and Mets are paying. Alomar is more valuable then Everett so I'd say at that them getting one major league guy in Jimenez means they get two pitching prospects (I'm guessing this cause its what the Rangers need) that the Sox give up. It would be foolish to give up anything good. Rauch should be the onl yof the top pitchers available. I could see Ginter going, but I don't know. Maybe Jim Bullard and Jon Rauch. One middle guy one guy that was once a top prospect.

Cotts, Wing, Honel and a few others can't be involved along with Jimenez. I'm happy if Jimenez is the key guy cause this really fills a whole and whose not to say if these moves pay off that it doesn't mean that the Sox don't reup on these guys. This were huge freaking moves. In regards to defense, I'm thinking we'll see Harris and Rowand still get plenty of action as well as Daubach. I'm thinking Daubach will play a lot of DH and left field while Carlos will also dh a lot more with Rowand or Harris playing some left or Everett doing it. My next guess is we'll see the Sox make a move for a reliever with Glover as one of the guys used as bait.
-
Nice, Rowand and Harris are staying up. So this means Jimenez was moved but no other major leaguer was moved in the deal or at least its not likely. THe big question is who are the other two guys in the Rangers deal.

Deal for Carl to be announced after Rangers game
Chisoxfn replied to Mr. Showtime's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm so excited to watch the game tomorrow. I URGE EVERY SOX FAN IN THE AREA OF CHICAGO TO GET OUT TO THE CELL TOMORROW IN SUPPORT OF THE SOX. They are trying to win it all this year. -
I want to see him with a high obp and everything else. I am hopoing Everett pays off. This could be a huge move. If its just Jimenez then it works out just fine to me. The Sox are playing to win and I have no problem with that.
-
I like this move because its the first time I can ever remember that the SOx have said WE ARE GOING TO WIN IT ALL AND IF WE DON"T WERE SURE AS HELL GONNA TRY. Just don't include Cotts GO SOX GO
-
Everett has solid numbers. I'm guessing the Rangers are paying his salary, but two great prospects wouldn't be a good move, one good one (Jimenez and then Rauch woudl be alright).
-
I'm thinking Alomar and then Everett at the top of the order or that would be my simple guess.
-
If we give up Neil Cotts, I'll be ticked, would of much rather gave them Jon Rauch. Plus Rauch is more major league ready for the Rangers or thats what I'd sell them.
-
Anytihng official on Everett. If its Cotts and Jimenez I don't like it, just Jimenez and two lesser guys (One probably Rauch the other probably a lower guy); Me guessing; then it isn't bad. If we give up the two of them, then I'll be dissapointed. LIke the Alomar deal a lot.
