  1. My friends thought I was a jackass to say that, but I am so sick of this crap ass offense. Maybe Lee getting beaned will wake them up.
  2. Well as long as he's healthy, on the bright side it means we have the leadoff man aboard.
  3. Daubach just ripped a bomb, IF it was another foot fair.
  4. Geeze, that was ugly. I hope to god that only hit the the helmet.
  5. Now if only the Sox bats could get going.
  6. HEY

Is this a picture from your computer? If its a picture from your computer then you have to email me it at jason@soxnet.net and I can upload it to the server. If its one from the internet, just hit properties and under source it should show the http link of the image.
  7. Damn, I thought Daubach was going to get a double on that one.
  8. It was good seeing Borch catch that fly ball in center. I sure hope he can just start growing at the majors and get things figured out.
  9. I disagree with Olivo being the fastest. I think Borchard is the fastest on the team. From what I've heard he isn't much slower then Willie Harris. Which is why I'd really like to see the Sox let him run a whole heck of a lot.
  10. As usual Sox did a hell of a job taking advantage of a leadoff hit.
  11. Borchard singles and then advances to 2nd on a wild pitch. Good agressive base running by Borchard. So with two outs and Jimenez up the Sox have a shot to tie the game up.

He has been struggling lately and I think Manuel wanted to give Harris a shot and now he will want to give Borchard a shot.
  13. HEY

What Ian said. [ img] http://www.whatever.com [/ img] Just remember there shouldn't be any spaces between the brackets but I just put them there so they will show up.
  14. Someone mentioned Steve Finley. I'd package up some players for Finley and Miguel Batista in a heartbeat. Kill 3 birds with 2 stones(LH power, CFer, more starting pitching). If we could somehow talk a team like Baltimore into taking Konerko, that would be great. The Dbacks would give Finley away for nothing as long as you paid his salary. As far as Miguel Bastista, I don't think he's that good of a pitcher and I believe we have a better answer in Jon Rauch or even Josh Stewart.
  15. Haaa, When we combine our powers together to form CAPTAIN PLANET Wind, Raaaain, Waatter, Firee, Earth, HEEEAAAART!!!!! I remember that show used to be on just before I had to go out with the family on Sunday mornings when I was a wee lad.
  16. Have you been smoking something? LOL Probably won't happen. I just said it would be sweet s*** if it happened. Well if the Dodgers keep over working him he may not be pitching in a few more weeks. I have no problem pitching a guy everyday, but Gagne has went like 6 or 7 straight games. The Dodgers need him, but they better give him some rests. No pitchers arm can take that type of pressure over a full season.
  17. Webster is an absolute stud. I know JJ will agree with one of our minor league writers Cerbaho who is a HUGE Webster fan. I like Webster and Reed a whole lot and I'm glad the two of them will be around in a couple years. Reed quicker then Webster.
  18. That is freaking disgusting.
  19. All I know is I can only hope he can make the transition much like Patterson did. Patterson sucked last year, but he's got quick hands and never ever hit AAA pitching but slowly things are turning out for him. As long as the Sox don't need Borchard to be a stud right away and they go with that approach he'll be fine. But like Cerb pointed out, this team has huge flaws with OBP and thats about the most important offensive stat there is. Teams that score a lot of runs will have high obps.
  20. I love hearing old ball players talk baseball. You learn so much and its just so enjoyable. Its why I always loved Hawk and Whimpy doing Sox games. There stories would always be real interesting.
  21. 3. Chicago - Love going there every few years. Great city plus get to see some Sox games. 2. San Diego - Really nice down there; I also rank where I am in Orange County as #2. Hell, I like where I live; never do I have to get out and scrape ice off my windows or clear a driveway 1. Phoenix Arizona Area - I absolutely love going to the Phoenix area, mainly cause it means I'm at spring training. The weather is great, plenty of baseball, gorgeous women, and scottsdale, etc are real nice.
  22. Bernie Mac is my personal hero for saying "Root, root root for the White SOX" at Wrigley Field when he was the guest singer. Bernie Mac is so freaking funny. Him being a Sox fan is just like extra fudge on a sunday.
  23. I won't disagree.

Right now Majewski is doing just as much as Baldwin.
  25. This team never has never been fundamentally sound.......in fact I wonder what the hell the Sox definitions of fundamentals are. f*** this god damn organization. CWSOX45 I agree with you that this team has never been fundamentally sound.... but this org still has a few good things.... we just need a shift in power..... towards some of those things... would love to see Fontaine made GM... Coaching at AA and below has been good if not great... and more importantly constant! Its just the top two lvls that are kinda screwed up... That's true, but the organization won't do anything until it's too late. Look at Billy Beane, when his team is struggling he makes a trade and usually they rebound and go on 18 game win streaks and such. This organization is clueless. CWSOX45 hehehehehe.... Took the words outta my mouth... I know i dont post here as much as over at WC.. but thats something that i should say Beane isnt the only one... Angels had that charm too... we stole Fontaine... now lets make him GM! Hey that sounds good to me. I think a couple of kids in the Chicago area could make a better team than Williams could just cuz they own a baseball game on their PS2. Williams was always good with our minor leagues, but not as a professional GM. CWSOX45 And eventually I'm going to do it and if the Sox haven't won the series by then, I will find a way to get it done.
