  1. Hell Ya Thanks everyone for these updates. I'm at the office right now and its nice to know exactly whats going on at the games.
  2. 1. So what? 2. His ERA for the game was still just over 2.00. I wish Garland was as "wild"/ 3. Prior will be the next great pitcher in baseball when Pedro breaks down. Unless Rauch gets healthy and starts putting it together that is Rauch is nowhere near the level of Prior. Prior is in a slot by himself and the only two pitchers below him are Josh Beckett and Brett Myers (Phillies) when it comes to young phenoms. Everyone else is soley a top prospect or wherever they fit in. Brando I still believe that you rate prospects in general much higher then they really are. Most prospects fail, its that simple. Almost everyone in the minors has plenty of ability but it takes a special player with the perfect mix of mental smarts, ability, and of course luck and other characteristics to make them a major league player.
  3. He always played good with the Sox, therefor I believe he'd be doing the same here. He never sucked and I don't care what some people believe, he was one of the best leadoff hitters and second baseman the White Sox ever had and Jimenez is going to have a tough job replacing him. I believe he has the tools and ability to replace him, but whether he lives up to that who knows. It was one of the big reasons I wanted to bring him back this offseason. You knew Ray would put up a .355 or great OBP, steal bases and score 100 runs. We just got so used to it that so many people took it for granted thinking that everyone can do that and its not the case. The Sox were lucky to have such a great leadoff hitter. Yes, he could of been better, but he was damn good as is.
  4. They replace one former Sox with another in Al Levine. This is the same Parque we saw in the majors after the surgery. Still, I like Jim as long as he loses when he plays against us.

    Bears Draft

I have no complaints if the Bears picked Newman.
  6. I think the draft lays out like Spiff is saying. Only reason the Bulls won't take Darko if they happened to have the #2 pick is they need another guard/sf, not another big man. Darko was told by the NBA that he would be eligible.

    Bears Draft

I'd be happy with Leftwich and Doss.
  8. I'll see. I don't have powerpoint though so I'm not sure if there is a way to convert it.
  9. Part of it has to be the crappy stadium they play in.
  10. I don't really hate any players, although I strongly dislike Clemens.
  11. I like Tyson so I'm happy with our situation. I really like how things are turning out. The only players I'd take in this draft are James or Anthony otherwise the Bulls should trade the pick, imo.
  12. Well if Lee completely is tearing the cover off the ball then the Sox would likey keep him and let him walk, especially if they are in competition. If they fall out of competition then they will likely deal him and probably still wouldn't bring Bartolo back. We could deal Carlos if he's doing avg (I still think he has value if thats the case) and the Sox know they have Joe and Daubach but Brian, Joe and Rowand will all have to be playing good so the Sox know they are in good enough position to move Carlos for a position they could use, whether its pitching, an infielder, a catcher or anything else.
  13. No idea. Caron Butler has came on strong lately and I think Stoudamire has tailed off a bit (Probably hit the wall) but I think it will be between those two. Jay Will has really picked it up as of late too. I think he'll work hard this offseason and him and Jamal will come back and be really good next year.
  14. Well thats obvious. No way is Carlos Lee more valuable then Bartolo unless Bartolo is injured.
  15. He won't be under contract in the offseason so they wouldn't be able to do that or at least I don't think they would. I'm assuming he's an unrestricted free agent, but if we lose him we'll get something in return draft pick wise. Not positive on that though. The key will be whether Frank is here or not, because only one of the two will be going, and we may still have both of them depending. Either way I think Colon is more important then either of them.

    Dent hired

I don't have a clue. I think he's probably around the same weight but he needs to lose weight considering all the pressure he is putting on his ankle.

    Dent hired

No idea, I know there was some talk that they would consider cutting him. Not sure if thats still the case.

    Dent hired

Asst Defensive Line Coach Dent Will Rejoin the Bears By Jason Gage Bearstalk.com Richard Dent interviewed earlier this off-season to become the defensive line coach – but Larry Brooks was hired instead. Now his time has come after waiting to work for the beloved. On Tuesday, he was hired as the new assistant defensive line coach. Dent provided an amazing pass rush throughout his career with the Bears. Now he will be asked to improve the Bears pass rush, which was non-existent last season. Dent plans on using his experience in the NFL to help the current Bears players. He went on to say, “I know what it takes, so I hope that I can pass that over to these guys”. Dent, 42, is the Bears all time sack leader. He would of never reached that level if he didn’t receive valuable lessons from the coaches as well as his teammates. Dan Hampton is one of the players that taught Dent. Dent knows how valuable it is to teach and he believes he can do a lot to help the Bears defense, specifically, the pass rush.

    Dent hired

I wish we hired Singletary and Dent.
  20. That was awesome. Jamaal, Jalen, JayWIll they all played real good. I was also impressed with Jamals comments in regards to Jerry Krause. It sounded pretty sincere to me. I must be the minority but I like Krause and he got a horrible rep, but he has done a great job putting the pieces in place and this team is going to be good. They are another guard/small forward away and that may not even be needed if Erob can get more agressive.
  21. Watched the second and well, once again it is something that drastically shows one side. Its horrible that civilians die, but why not show pictures of all the civilians Saddam has killed, cause that number is probably 100,000 times bigger then those that have died in this war.
  22. Thats sweet Spiff. Spiff always makes awesome graphics
  23. I always wondered about that too. I think he ended up in Milwaulkee or something like that. I just remember him getting either one or two starts and he did solid in both and then never saw him again.
