Yes, 1 inning, and this team has finally gelled Cluj, I really don't think that inning happens with Carlos in their. Not that Daubach did anything big either. Sometimes you just got to go with other bats when a guy is struggling as bad as Carlos. If Brian and Rios both have big games, then let them both play again tomorrow. Usually I like Carlos, but he's slumping so he needs to get his mind out of a funk, take a day or two off, and do a little more bp so he can stop flying open.

Cub fans defrauded by own team
To be honest, I don't see the problem. If their is a business for it, and a game is sold out and people want to buy tickets then why not sell them. Its not like other companies don't do the same. Plus, the way I see it, if people can make money then no problem. They aren't harming anyone, its legal to do. Its not like they are witholding tickets and then jacking the price up on them. If JR were to do it, I'd have no problem, but their is no demand for it. Only thing I'd want is for him to put some of the money he makes into the White Sox.

I think everyone will like Rios. I loved this signing so much. Armando has always been a good hitter when he's healthy, but he's always had fluke injuries or never got the right opportunities, ala Aaron Rowand.

2 Outs now and Burk rips a single up the middle. Runners are on 1st and 2nd now. Come on Mark, get this guy out. Vizquel and Burks were the two with hits. Matt Lawton hit the ball hard as well, but Daubach was there. -Shane Spencer grounds out to short.

There's no doubt that when Sandy is healthy, he'll VERY much help this team. He's a high .200's hitter for his career, and calls a fine game -- can't ask a catcher to do much more for the money he's making. The key is that he gets 2 games off for every 3 he plays, imo. Sandy is really good when kept fresh. The good thing is, it is perfect for Olivo to get a few games and then a few off as well so he can seep in what he learned and then watch Alomar a bit and learn some more. In Detroit is the rotation going to be Loaiza, Stewart and Colon?

D'Angelo hits a shot, but right into the 3rd basemans mit. D'Angelo probably had the two hardest hit balls of the inning and neither time did he reach base. Either way 5-0 Sox with Buehrle getting ready to pitch. Come on Mark shut em down.

Yess, 5-0 Sox. Alomar hits one up the middle just past the reach of Brandon Phillips. Runners at the corners again and D'Angelo is due up. Come on D'AnG

YESSS 2-0 Sox Crede rips it up the middle and it deflects off the pitcher. Pitcher doesn't hit it and its probably an out. Rios is now up with the bases juiced and 2 outs. Come on Armando

JM has lost My Support
Michelle, I can't see KW making phone calls to Jerry during the game telling him who to put in. If thats the case then this organization absolutely blows and they will truly never win until they are all far away from Chicago.

Didn't know that....I heard a few people say he didn't. I didn't have the game on, only saw the replays. I would of if it wasn't blacked out. I have always been in the middle with Manuel mainly because the players always seem to respect him.

Chisoxfn, The only bad thing about today's game (for us at least) is that I think we're going to have to listen to the Cleveland announcers. The Sox are carrying it on WCIU (I think that's it), while I think the feed we're going to be seeing on MLB EI is the Fox Sports Net feed from Cleveland. Ya, its alright. As long as I don't have to listen to the other teams announcers 100% of the time. I love it when Detroit's announcers are doing the Sox game because then you get to hear Whimpy. Plus, I like hearing what other teams announcers have to say about our players, sometimes you learn new things, especially from a much less bias opinion then Hawk and DJ.

Rocker's potential definately outweighs Parque's.

My thought is this team needs a manager that is well respected and has some clout. Having Valentine come in would really show how serious this club is and how they don't simply hire people they can control. (That may be the truth though). Valentine would be able to come in and the Sox wouldn't lose any expectations. I truly think that Manuel needs to go. I haven't seen improvement fundementally and that was always supposed to be his strong suit. Sorry JM, but you didn't do it. I was watching the Cubs game today, Alou made a great throw and it was incredibly close, I think the runner slid past the tag but the ball beat him there. Anyway he was called safe but Baker went on out and had a talk. He didn't get ejected, but he had least had a talk. He did it respectfully and then your talk gets something in the umps mind that the next call that goes mid line should go your way or at least more often then not it will, because they think they may have to make something up. Either way its good managing to protest close plays, especially when it involves a run. Jerry Manuel isn't a good manager. I don't like how he handles lineups, and I really hate how he manages a bullpen. He does fine managing the rotation, imo. I really hate how he benchs guys when they are on fire. If a backup comes in and hits up a storm, you keep hitting him until he stops hitting. The Angels would always do that last year. If someone on the bench like Bengi Gil or Orlando Palmerio were creaming the ball, they would be in and stay in until they cooled off. Got to go with the hot hand, Manuel just doesn't do that though and that is so stupid, imo. Its not one stupid thing thats angered me and its not the teams record, its the fact that I don't believe he can take this team to the next level. I believe he's had enough time and I'm sick with a lot of his questionable calls. Every manager has questionable calls, but JM doesn't really manage.
