  1. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 10:47 AM) I'll do my best to explain this. 1) The 800 number on the back of your card can be used to verify and/or answer any questions you may have. 2) The yearly deductible is what you will pay BEFORE insurance kicks in unless otherwise superseded by a listed co-pay. For example, if you have a 500$ deductible, but a 30$ co-pay for a office visit, for regular office visits you will pay the 30$, NOT the deductible. 3) The maximum out of pocket is what kicks in AFTER you've paid your yearly deductible, after this is reached, you are 100% covered for the remainder of the year. 4) This is where hospital charges or in/outpatient charges start kicking in. For example, if you were to break your arm, and the bill is $3500, you are responsible for 1) the deductible, which is $500. This leaves 3000$ remaining. Your insurance will then list a % you are responsible for, for example, 20%. So of that remaining 3000$, you are responsible for an additional 20% UP TO THE YEARLY MAXIMUM. Charges are often separated by a in-network/out-of-network cost. You may see something similar to this: in-network/out-of-network office visit: 25$/40$. In this example, an office visit in-network is 25$, and that same visit to an out-of-network doctor would be 40$. The same goes for non-specialist/specialist: 50$/100$. In that example, a non-specialist would cost you 50$, whereas a specialist is 100$. What is a specialist? A dermatologist is a specialist for skin conditions, where as a general practitioner is just a regular doctor. *** Keep in mind that ONLY FDA approved procedures and tests are covered. If there is an experimental test your doctor recommends, they SHOULD be telling you that insurance MAY NOT cover these charges, as they are not obligated to do so. That doesn't mean they won't, but they don't have to do so. If you have an HMO, ANYTHING your PCP (Primary Care Physician) requests will be covered. Period. If you have a PPO, you will be on the hook for anything uncovered (such as non FDA approved procedures). If you disagree with a charge AFTER fighting it, and still do not agree with the insurance companies assessment, you can ALWAYS request the case go to arbitration. Last but not least, keep in mind that if/when you cannot pay a bill, you CAN negotiate...and if they refuse to do so (they can), you can agree to make monthly payments and these "loans" CAN NEVER BE CHARGED INTEREST. If you owe 2000$, tell the hospital all you can afford to pay is $50 a month...they WILL let you interest free. If you have any questions let me know. One thing to make clear, your deductible payments count towards your maximum out of pocket cost. Your post is a little confusing and could lead some to believe they are seperate.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Nov 23, 2015 -> 04:00 AM) Yes, it was. It was shown to be creaking and beginning to fall apart a couple times throughout the episode. Yeah - They hinted at it continuously through the episode. Presume it was from the truck damage.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 23, 2015 -> 07:12 AM) Got a four flight to SoCal tomorrow with a 3 year old and a 3 month old. That should be exciting. And it's barely gonna be in the 60s all week, I was expecting pool weather. High of 80 or so today in OC. Just switch locations from the desert to the coast.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 23, 2015 -> 05:07 AM) It is really aggravating that Jeffery continues to be injured. The offense gains 399 yard per game and scores 27 points per game with him in, and only gains 305 yards and scores 15.5 yard with him out. I think it is magnified when you are talking about your #1, #2, and #3 wideout really being out. That is a lot of issues. Packers are down just their #1 and look at how much problems Aaron is having right now (of course the Bears will somehow cure it cause he's always money against us).
  5. QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 22, 2015 -> 05:22 PM) Agreed. The Bears had just failed on 3 straight goal to go plays, why would you bet on them converting 2 in a row just to tie with 10 minutes left? Kick there and then if you get another TD you're winning instead of tying. Don't understand that decision at all. I'm usually an aggressive kind of guy but I was thinking we'd kick the field goal. That said, you are inside the 4 so I think statistically, the stato's would have said to go for it (if you miss, you have them backed up inside the 4, so good probability you get the ball back in good field position). The only thing was, we were totally inept in the red zone. No one could get open.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Nov 22, 2015 -> 05:12 PM) Disagree. They had Bennett, Royal, Jeffery and Forte in Detroit and the red zone struggles were happening then as well That was earlier in the season and they win that game if not for their own ineptitude. I'd also point out that was Alshon's first game and Royal has been hobbled anyway. Lets see what they can do when they have actual pieces around him. The greatest current QB on the planet (Rodgers) has had a hell of a time dealing with what I would call, largely, a more talented set of passing targets then the Bears have had most of this year. That receiving corps without Royal / Jeffrey is really really bad. Having Bennett helps (and he had a monster game drawing all those PI's) but in the red zone we started getting more efficient as the team was gelling with Jeffrey. What this offense has done with so many guys out is so impressive. How Jay has kept calm in spite of all this is also very impressive, imo.
  7. Against that D with those wideouts, amazing we were in the game. We could have just as easily won it, but man it is tough to score in the red zone when you lack playmakers and guys who can get open. Jay had the bad pick, which looked as much a bad throw as a bad decision, but if you factor in all the interference yards, that was a solid offensive performance. He again, by and large, did a great job using his mobility to buy time, just couldn't get it all to work. And unlike past years, despite everything going against him, when push came to shove, we had a shot to send it to OT. The one thing we have done all year in the Gase offense is struggle in the red zone and I fully believe it is because we have rarely had playmakers. When we have had the playmakers we have been just fine in the red zone.
  8. Alshon and McPhee still not practicing / status for Sunday up in the air. Is Royal back? Jay without Alshon and Royal against this type of D is going to be extremely difficult.
  9. Could you imagine if Jay did what Peyton Manning is doing in Denver. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/11/20/peyt...practice-field/
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 08:30 AM) They're better than the 90's Bulls. The 3-pointer puts them at another level. Could you imagine if they played with a reduced line like the bulls did for a few of those years? G.A.M.E.O.V.E.R! LOL. The Bulls would crush them.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) I didnt realize that I had to pay 20% of my medical bills per my insurance for anything other than basic stuff, and my OOP max was high. My sons birth really brought this out. SInce then I have moved into a high deductible plan that my company offsets with an HSA contribution. This plan pays 100% after my deductible is met. At my company, all of the plans have you paying 20% till you hit your max. But it isn't like I know this hospital's birth will cost 10K and this one will cost $20K. All I know is somehow I think we paid like $6k for our son's child birth this year (paid a couple hundred bucks for the stupid bag they give you when you leave the hospital for pete sake). If I knew you get charged for that thing they leave with you, I'd have told them to take it (of course they probably would have charged me anyway). Think had a manual expressor pump, a onzie and a diaper bag...come on now.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 06:05 AM) Snow tonight/tomorrow along with a low of 9 degrees!!! What forecast you looking at? 80 yesterday and 77 today
  13. All of the above I know, but I also can go anywhere I want (knowing that if I do, my coverage goes down, but can). All that said, it still doesn't mean I understand what anything is going to cost, cause I have no idea what the hell the bill of any random procedure is going to be. None. I know what my insurance will pick up but it is a percentage (until you hit your out of pocket max) and what that baby is going to actually cost from the hospital stay, etc, who the hell knows. That said I work in finance and thus realize you need to read the fine print, but I'd also be the first to know that often times when you ask your insurance company you can often get a freaking complex answer that makes no sense (or potentially even the wrong answer). Next time I'm in chicago, I'm visiting your desk and going to make an outburst...what do you mean I have to pay you money..I have insurance, that means its free.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 06:05 AM) Curry puts up 50 against the Bulls tonight Butler has asked to guard him. Curious how he'll deal with Curry's speed.
  15. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 12:34 AM) Bulls need a dominant scorer. I don't think it necessarily has to come from the wing position as I think Jimmy is good enough to create offense at the wing. I actually would want to get all new bigs outside of Portis and Mirotic as they are getting old and pricey. A dominant scorer would be nice, but you aren't getting that dangling our bigs.
  16. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 20, 2015 -> 12:07 AM) I have heard almost the exact opposite. He doesn't speak much apparently, and when he does, it's to point out something he doesn't like, or he'll say something really awkward or off the wall. A popular story I've heard is that during a players meeting, everyone spoke their peace. Greinke, supposedly doesn't even say much during those meetings, but he told everyone he had something to say. Everyone was pretty interested because he usually doesn't say anything, and he commented on an anonymous person's bathroom tendencies and how it bothers him. Everyone laughed at first because they thought he was joking and was going to actually say something, but then he didn't and he had a very serious look and it ended up being very awkward. EDIT, I had the order backwards. Everyone looked at him awkward and then laughed when they say he was serious. Mason and Ireland even brought it up during one of their shows here in LA. I think Plashcke also mentioned it on his show. Here's a link: http://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/zack-...-pooping/265283 Yeah and supposedly it is that type of humor that the guys like. The media hates it but the players in the clubhouse like it and he kept them loose. Think of Maddux peeing on everyone in the lockeroom. Plaschke is the pits. Guy is a fraud. By the way, I didn't realize you had moved out here (or at least I assume you did since your pimping a lot of the shows I listen to). 570 is the worst, with the exception of the morning on 710. Dan Lebatard is the stink. How does anyone listen to that crap.
  17. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 19, 2015 -> 09:14 PM) This. Everyone in LA Sports Media hints at it, but won't come out and say it because Greinke has been great for them. I think it's a case of the Dodgers not having a strong player leader (They've wanted Greinke and Kershaw to assume this role, but they haven't. And AGon is like Konerko in that he rather lead with his play), and Greinke being a complete primadonna. Puig is one of those players who if your team embraces, he will play all out for you and put up numbers. The Dodgers, don't embrace him. With that said, Friedman didn't sound like he was going to deal him. He basically told Puig to get into shape during the offseason as Andrew blames Puig's troubles on that. I love Greinke and I have heard from multiple people close to the Dodgers that he has been their leader (and one of the few). Supposedly keeps things very loose. Kind of like Maddux a bit in that he's a big jokester, etc. He can be a dick to the media though but when he is, its usually pretty funny. I also agree with your other points though and I would also point out that in general the Dodgers are a mess. They cleaned a lot up this past year but they still have major issues in that clubhouse and Puig definitely doesn't feel the love. I think a change of scenery could do him well and I'd be all over a deal. I think the upside is worth it. Would love the Dodgers young catcher and Puig for Q, but probably not realistic.
  18. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 19, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) I'm all for trading a big (maybe not Taj, he has been great so far) for a guard/wing, but I think Moore has been great. One bad game doesn't change that. Anyway, I think Gibson has been spectacular. I guess we forgot how he plays when healthy. Last season I was fine with trading him. Now I'm not. I'd trade Gasol (doesn't really fit the system) or Noah (high value right now) before Taj. Do we really need a wing that desperately? A true point guard, sure, but a wing, I don't know. Between Butler, MJD, Dougie, and Snell, I'd say we have those minutes covered. Would it be nice to have a better 2, absolutely, but I don't know that I am a big advocate of moving a big, especially knowing that Pau is older, and Noah/Gasol have had injury issues. I am fine with the roster as is for now (with exception of the PG spot) and I also understand at some point, Portis will get some minutes (when a big gets hurt / when we give some of our bigs days off). I think right now we are trying to build chemistry and thus not giving days off, but as the season goes on, I expect some Pop like healthy inactives from our starters / bigs.
  19. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Nov 19, 2015 -> 10:05 AM) How does replacing Avi with a guy older than him signal youth movement? If they really are going into a full rebuild let Avi keep playing to ultimately see what you have with him as his ceiling is higher than Trayce's. In the grand scheme of things the $2.5 million or so you will pay Avi is nothing. I think it signals a youth movement because it means you aren't going to bring a bunch of vets in to fill other holes and contend. No way does this team plan on contending with Trayce in the outfield this year (or at least I don't see many plausible scenarios where it does).
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 19, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) He hurt it, nobody knows the severity yet. Brooks did say he didnt feel or hear anything tear or pop I was really surprised the trainers cleared him to come back out (given that we are talking about a regular season game).
  21. Brooks tear his hammy or something? As much as I complain about Brooks, he has a spot (as a guy who can be instant offense). You just have to know that some nights you have to use that leash real quick on him. I was confused as to why he came back in the game after he pulled up limp and do think that if Thibbs had done it everyone would be blasting him (for putting him back out their).
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 19, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) Does trayce signal youth movement or d movement? I think the latter. I'm not that convinced that Trayce is a long-term starter, but I think if you are going that direction it likely indicates more of a youth movement. I'd also hope it indicates some focus on the D, but I don't know. We have a lot of poor defenders and I don't know that a guy who is probably better served as a 4th outfielder and starting him necessarily signals that movement. I still get pissed thinking about how we built a team around pitching with such a horrific defense.
  23. I am not a fan of Avi and am fnie if we move him and prospects to get a piece we like at 3B or catcher.
