  1. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 09:42 AM) He doesnt like the Viking? What was wrong with them? It is the oven. It doesn't heat properly. Repair guy has been out like 3 seperate times and tells him how it is a pretty common problem and recommended that he returned them and get another brand, haha. No issues with the stove or the other stuff. To be frank, I would think it would be hard to screw up a stove, as long as the gas works and has a clean burn and you are okay with the looks, I can't imagine major differences in performance (obviously you want whatever specs you want in terms of burner size, oven size, btu's, etc).
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 09:20 AM) I like Bosch too...ultimately, we'll have to work with a contractor to determine what options are available as far as the overall remodel, and see how much we can set aside for appliances. That will ultimately determine which direction we go. I would really like to splurge a bit on the range, but we'll see. If I were to tell you to get one thing from Bosch, it would be the diswasher. Cleans like a million bucks and is so damn quiet. On a sidenote, my dad just got a Viking set (stove, oven and microwave...I think it was about 4K after contractors discounts, etc) and hates them (in fact he's in process of returning them). Says they are the biggest pieces of junk he's ever owned (he was upgrading from 15 year old JennAir or GE appliances). Like I said, I got lucky, mine was about $1K for all 3 after my discount, haha.
  3. Shack, we have bosch appliances. My friend used to work for Bosch, which allowed me to get it at like 80% off, haha, but really like it. Nothing super fancy, basically stainless steel 5 burner gas oven and range, above hood stainless microwave and than the dishwasher (which is unbelievable).
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 10, 2015 -> 07:39 AM) Should have a decent system in place in 2015. The fact is, if the system is nice, the Bears offense can be pretty good with Cutler at QB even making his typical mistakes. The kissing up to Cutler is over. I can't stand the guy, but I'm am positive the Bears can win games with him at QB. They have before. He is paid way too much without a doubt, but the "he can't win a Super Bowl" crap is crap. No QB could have brought the 2014 Bears to the playoffs. It was only a few years ago Cutler got hurt and people were upset he wouldn't return into the game. Now he sucks, he always has sucked, he always will suck. He isn't the elite guy most thought the Bears acquired when they traded for him, but he is middle of the pack. Ideally you would like your QB to be a leader, which he is not. That does hurt him, but he is still the best QB the Bears have ever had. I guess that is sad. This is a good post.
  5. I technically think it is the safest move to keep Jay around. You can make the playoffs with Jay. If you pick the wrong rookie QB, you are going to be terrible and for a long long time. I think the landscape has already changed in Chicago where Jay no longer controls the team. It is actually ran by football people (Pace & Fox) and we'll see what those guys can do with Jay. I presume they don't like the idea of being backed into a corner with no Jay and really no top notch QB prospects available to them (odds of Mariotta falling are slim and anyone else in this draft is a pretty big project and even Mariotta / Winston are still projects themselves).
  6. @PaulKuharskyNFL With apologies to those certain of something else, the #Titans are not trading for Jay Cutler. ESPN 1000 ‏@ESPN1000 29m29 minutes ago According to @ESPNChiBears on @WaddleandSilvy, Jay Cutler was in the building last week working with Adam Gase and the new playbook.
  7. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Mar 5, 2015 -> 07:48 AM) Mine has increased 10+% each of the last two years.. And I have 5% co-insurance now that i never had before... Mine has also increased by similar components and that is with 2 different companies. Additionally, coverage has worsened (but still obviously meets obamacare standards). So remember, you can't just look at cost savings, you have to look at cost to benefit components as well. In my case, it would have been up significantly more had the coverage actually remained consistent.
  8. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 9, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) Adam Schefter reported back in December that because of the 25 million in guaranteed money, the Bears might have to package one of their higher round draft picks to be able trade him. That was three months ago and things may have changed, but it shows the the those guaranteed dollars weigh on a team. And right when that was reported I said it was a garbage report. I also think that will be proven correct when Cutler is ultimately moved.
  9. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 9, 2015 -> 12:45 PM) I really have trouble gauging this whole Cutler situation. If he's moved, do the Bears immediately become the favorite for Mariota? Not unless we get the Titans pick. We might have strong interest for him, but we certainly aren't going to have him sitting their at 7.
  10. QUOTE (staxx @ Mar 9, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Swapping 3/2s and getting rid of that contract is a huge win I think they will get more. Something like swapped 2nd's plus a 3rd or like a 2nd or 3rd round pick on its own. I still think possibility exists for swapped 1st round pick and I'm sure that is what the Bears are pushing for.
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 7, 2015 -> 01:03 PM) Wouldn't the cap implications of cutting Cutler be too significant for it to make sense to do so? If they don't cut him now, than you are taking cap hits on him next year. With the amount of cap space they can get and the fact that they are cleaning house, I think it is better to get everything in order in 1 year vs. pushing the problem down the road and my presumption is Bears believe that to be the case. They can save real money by cutting him now and even the cap impacts might be muted depending on what contract he signs. Ultimately I think someone will trade for him though. I'd be very surprised if he is on the roster by the 12th. I think by that point, if he hasn't been traded, he'll be cut.
  12. They are cleaning house. Forte and Jay are next. For sure Jay. I am convinced he is traded or cut in next week.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 4, 2015 -> 02:08 PM) Sanburn? Or did Gage Gage it? Bad spelling. It was surkamp but brain wasnt working
  14. Fantastic road win for Iowa. Let's keep this streal rolling this weekend and work on enhancing seeding and keeping positive momentum rolling!!!
  15. So excited to watch the game tomorrow!!!
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 3, 2015 -> 06:45 AM) I'd say it's just more mediocre, which is better than the reputation of worst city in America outside of Detroit it sometimes gets. I would stay too long or anything. The Rock and Roll HoF is worth the trip at least once. Baltimore and St. Louis are pretty awful cities too.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 02:38 PM) Key phrase = "the crap in the east". That's what amazes me about this being a playoff team. IT was a playoff team last year without Pau and with a lesser Jimmy Butler. I realize no DJ, but you also have Niko and a better Snell. This team is better than last years no Rose team and they were in the playoffs, so why wouldn't this team. We will have a rough stretch though as the match-ups are very tough (starting w/Clippers game). Hopefully they respond to the good news.
  18. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) It's possible that Derrick might actually have learned something from his first two rehabs stints. He might actually realize that no level of conservatism in his play will totally protect him from future injury. It's possible, but with Derrick's "circle," it's unlikely. I agree with this and given the reports that he was told this issue was a pretty high probability, you'd think he'd know, this is in general on the more minor side and is not one of those if you rush back too quick, you are talking about major issues (supposedly rehab for this is more minor). In fact, seems like a lot of people think he might actually feel better than he has all year as a result of this clean up procedure. With Rose's history though, we shall see. Would be huge if he is back, but really key to me if he could get in at least 5-6 regular season games in (as he works up minutes, etc).
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 10:25 AM) I wonder if the Bulls publishing this timeline is a shot at Rose's camp to try to pre-emptively stop him taking forever to come back. Friedell almost indicated that this might very well have been the case. Basically pulls are putting all of the public pressure on Rose. That said, it would appear Forman indicating Rose will aggressively rehab this would have been vetted by Rose but I think this is the Bulls getting totally out in front of this and saying, Rose, this is what the doctors say, this is what we are publishing. If you want to do otherwise, you will no longer be protected by us. General belief that we'll hear from Rose in the next few days as well.
  20. Now, the Bulls have to do their part and try to hold seed so we can get a favorable match-up in the first round while Rose is still rounding back into shape. Timing of this injury is what really makes it brutal. A month earlier and it really wouldn't have been a big deal as there would have been ample time for Rose to wear off any additional rust from missing the 4-6 weeks.
  21. Exciting. Lets hope this recovery time holds true. You'd hope Forman was relatively conservative in that estimate too. I think it would be so important for Rose to get back on the court and contribute this year. I think it goes a long way in him reaching another level next year.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2015 -> 07:50 AM) i don't think it has to do with superior, it has to do with the way the contrast is perceived. My wife are having a battle over this, so I really hope someone can find some science that proves what I am seeing as being superior, haha. I figure my eyes are more advanced so those seeing blue have more focus and able to see more colors of the color spectrum vs. those who see white (who at some point, all the color's blend to white).
  23. I see royal blue and black and the bottom of the dress, the top of the dress is royal blue and gold to me. What I want to know is, do people who see the blue have superior vision or is it people who see the white with superior vision cause there is nothing white about that dress.
  24. Hopefully good news comes out post-surgery but when all is said and done, I'll believe it when I see Rose back on the court. All this said, I think he plays again this year and it will be really critical for him to get back on the horse quickly (vs. having the long off-season). The fact is, we all likely overreacted to this news, as the reinjury rate was pretty high in the first place related to the procedure originally done.
