A race to see how f***ing pathetic the Sox offense is. 12 of 22 games where they haven't scored more than 3 f***ing runs. Give me a freaking break. Ozzie, here's a hint, don't just mess with the top of the order (ie, OC whose ACTUALLY f***ING HITTING) but move the sluggers that are DOING s*** (DYE/THOME).

Mark Bradley
This was a bad pick from day one. Overdrafted and did nothing in college (living off hype) and continued to do the same in the NFL. Sure he had a few game stretch a few years ago, but it was the only time he was even able to stay on the field.

A Bright Spot
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 08:49 AM) You ass...I just posted the same thing in the Javy thread. BTW, remember how we felt the team would loosen up and roll in the playoffs in 2005? If this team makes the playoffs this year, I don't get that same feeling at all. I have two opinions on this team if they make the playoffs and it depends on how they get in. If they got in because of strong play in Minneosta I think they could just gel. In fact, I think a 100% White Sox team is the best team in the AL. I say that based upon the way the other teams are playing. Rays have a horrendous pen, Angels pitching is falling apart, BoSox don't have the starting (imo). The problem is I just can't see the Sox getting back to 100% and the only way they could get even close to that is to win the next two in Minny and than the first game in Cleveland and than get 2 days off which will enable them to get all the starters/relievers fully rested and the rotation lined up for the post-season. I just don't see the Sox getting in that easily, but hopefully Mark and Gavin man up and kick ass. More importantly I hope the offense can come out blazing and give the team big leads in both games.

A Bright Spot
I'm worried about Mark and Gavin. Its typically the start following a shortened outing where a pitcher will suffer a serious dead arm period. Ozzie was a f***ing idiot for going on 3 days rest. Yes, I'll continue to say it cause I said it at the time he decided to make that brilliant move.

Rally Crede!
Come on people, get with the times. It's the Jobu this year. Rally Crede was a 2005 thing

Ozzie calls out Javy
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 05:41 AM) He was popping his fastball from 92-96. He had plenty on the ball. Of course that was in the first inning when he actually threw a couple of good fastballs. IT was also the only inning he threw anything remotely close to the inner half of the plate.

Ozzie calls out Javy
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 07:41 AM) What team is going to take on 2 years and 23 million dollars for an aging choker with a .500 lifetime record? We'd have to eat about half of the money to get rid of him IMO. I'll call BS on this. Tons of teams would take Javy Vazquez, even if he gave up 20 runs in his last outing (assuming he's healthy). Not only would the Sox be able to move him without eating his contract, they'd be able to get prospects in return. Sure he wet the bed but he still has plenty of value on the open market if the Sox did in fact want to trade him.

Ozzie calls out Javy
That was a dissapointing performance. Javy became his typical wussy self where he lived on the outer half of the plate and because of such anything that even remotely came over the middle got hammered (since a hitter had no worries about an inside pitch). Inside pitch, what is that? God Javy pisses me off like no other. I swear I just don't get it. He gets so afraid and wets the bed because of it.

Need a Little Help
Does anyone know of a site where I can find the career hitting stats of a team (ie, all of the batters currently on the team) vs a particular pitcher?

Banks
I haven't heard them, but there is a chance I'm going to be consulting for the FDIC in regards to the bank shut-downs which are going to happen. I get to find out in a couple weeks. That said I don't have any inside info but I haven't seen anyone on Wall Street speculating about Compass going under.

Ozzie calls out Javy
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) Anyone think this could be the beginning of the end of Javy's White Sox career? Not really, even with his ups and downs he gives innings and typically keeps the club in the games. Plus his contract is what I'd call affordable given his performance. The only way I could see him elsewhere is if the Sox dealt him for some significant parts.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 08:25 AM) I agree with you. Orton has been way off. If we had a better line I would want Rex in there. But, I just do not like the pass protection when we go for the deep ball. 1 More thing to add to my negatives: Rashied Davis. Go back to the Arena League! That missed catch cost us the game. (it was a great pass too) Everyone talks about the Tillman play, I'm not mad at Peanut given the circumstances. I'm pissed at davis . Rex is a pretty damn good QB with a solid rushing attack. Last year he didn't have it and was exploited but this season he'll have it and I think he could be pretty productive. I wouldn't be shocked to see Rex starting in Atlanta, especially if Orton has a horrid game against Philly. Also, starting against Atlanta would be a good move cause it gives him a spot to go against a poor team (even if they are 2-1), plus its a road game so it would give Rex a shot to win over the fans support to an extent.

Al Davis rises from his crypt and fires Lane Kiffin
The sad part is the Raiders are headed in the right direction. They are a 7 win team, imo. I'd say they had an outside shot at the playoffs but they will have to play 4 total games against San Diego & Denver who are both head and shoulders better. However, put them in the NFC West and they are a playoff team. Heck, I think they would have a chance in the AFC East (Pats aren't good, Jets are way over-rated and Buffalo is solid but Oakland has shown they could play with them). Al Davis is a complete fool though.
