  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 06:41 PM) This one's easy. Turn off the news. They're the only ones who will care I hope you're right, honestly. Barack is better then Ron Paul. I can't believe I'm saying that. The guy is fanatical.
  2. And what's worse is Ru-paul finished second. Now all we are going to hear for weeks is how good Ru-paul is.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 04:59 PM) If you are saying 500 PUts, I am buying 1500 calls. +1
  4. QUOTE (Soxy @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) Reports are alleging that Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll. I would make a joke, but I'm too scared. I totally agree with you on this one.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 01:08 PM) The more I see of him and read about him, the more I like Huntsman among the GOP candidates for 2012. Unfortunately, barring a surprise showing in Iowa or some other strange thing happening, he's a long shot at best. Of course you like him, he is a "moderate" who doesn't stand for anything, and he worked in the Obama administration as a Republican. Since he has no spine or standing on anything and he's a "moderate", that makes him the best candidate.
  6. Well, you all know how I feel about Gov. Goodhair... but he's better for America then Obama for China.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) Fulltime offer finally! And blown away by it, my manager even got them to include a pretty good signing bonus! Treeriffic!
  8. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 05:00 PM) As I have been saying for well over a year, ITALY will take down Europe. I could see that, especially because we deal with a government backed Italian company. Let's just say they are not in pretty shape. The risk is extremely high.
  9. They have to slow down the trains here because the tracks are warping due to the heat. That's hot.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) I maybe a creep but that Selena Gomez makes me want to pinch Bieber. or b**** slap her for being with a guy more feminine then she is?
  11. The 1980 heat wave is going to get a run for its money here. 110 for the next week and no end in sight.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) Oh, so you're in favor of more regulation now. Hippie! You, you.... Hippie! I need to go study mark to market. (I'm actually serious, I'm studying for an exam and one of the sections in this chapter is mark to market. ) Maybe I'll enlighten you guys if I'm in the mood. Bwaaaaaahahahaha...
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) Yeah, because that last decade of limited regulation...that was awesome growth! Yea, because government is going to fix it! You need regulations where it matters, not just to cover some Barney's Frank.
  14. Less regulations = more demand, then more supply to meet said demand. But then again, the government is perfect, and knows how to spend money better then any other entity in the history of the world. Whatever.
  15. Oh, wait, you mean that supply side actually works? More people working? Hmf, who would have thought it? /waits for the unemployment would be 55% if the Demmys wouldn't have saved or created all those jobs, and Obama just needs more time to fix it all.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) Spending in the next decade is projected to be $150 trillion? WTF are you talking about? There's no "enormous" cuts happening. At all. This whole thing was about our 'hysterical', er, 'historical' president saving face and swooping in to save the day at the very end. He's so underdogish and SOOOO above the political fray (waits for NSS and some others to talk about how he's the teflon guy and can't be blamed for anything bad). He got everything he wanted, because the baseline spending is jacked WAY up thanks to our wonderful stimulus 2 years ago and Obamacare a year ago. So the spending is hugely out of proportion and he didn't have to pay a f***ing thing politically. And we're "cutting" off of something that's jacked up so high that we can't possibly cover it.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) Upper class tax cuts and banks. Right. I love how your definition of deficit spending is based on revenue that could never be there anyway. It's the new, newfangled logic of the left. Oh, and I guess you're rich. Glad to hear it. Hey, here's an idea. Make US government accounting like for-profit accounting. That could be interesting.
  18. Where do you think all that stimulus money went? And all that money USTREAS has been printing? Why should they worry?
  19. Except it's not really cleared off the books yet (or ever). It just got transferred somewhere else.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) I had the meeting with my boss and a co-worker that I work under close supervision with today. They appeared to want me to stay till the end of August, extending my time with the team for 18 days. It seems like they need help for training camp but I have something personal going on back home to attend to. Even if I don't stay, they said they would be willing to put me into contact with members of most Chicago teams with the exception of the Blackhawks. So I don't see much of a difference if I stayed or went home but the contacts part of this was important. I hope what you have is really important, because right now when they need you the most is not a good time to leave. I mean, it's an internship, but it sort of sticks that you left when it got (seemingly) more important. Not trying to be an ass, because obviously I don't know your situation. I think you would have learned a lot by sticking around.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) Rick Perry Flip Flops On Gay Marriage, Backs Federal Ban QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) That guy is a mess. AAAAAAAAnd there you have why I hate the guy.
  22. Hope you had a good one.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Wtf? Are you Bon Scott level drunk? OK, that literally made me laugh out loud. We can't even defeat Libya. So, we got some big ass balls. BIG BALLS. FIRE! (Oh, that was big guns, or something, wasn't it?)
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) So do people realize that we have a shutdown deadline in September if we somehow get through this, for passing a 2012 budget? Oh, that would be devastating, wouldn't it? It would mean that they would ACTUALLY have to cut REAL spending. Gee, there's a concept. Now, with that said, when did they pass the PBY 2011 budget? It was certainly not before September 30, 2010. Kick. Punt. Down the road some more.
