The double play they got earlier was huge. But, runs are hard to come by against Carpenter.

QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) Heh. Europeans are wimps. And most here want to be just like them.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 07:54 PM) Regulation! Oh, you mean all those regulations that banks have to follow when lending because of the government? Those?!?! Oh, oooooh, oh, ohhhhhh, BANKS SUCK! Let me throw in some Goldman Sack(s of balls). And Wall Street. Need to throw that in again. NOT ENOUGH TAXES. MORE!

3 errors? WTF? Series over. f***.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) Kap, Scotland decided to release him, not the US. Not sure how it has any relevance to Wall Street, seeing as Wall Street isnt under Scottish jurisdiction. (I know you were trolling, but it does nothing except turn the conversation into nonsense). Nevermind me. I'm just conversing bulls*** and Wall Street hate. However, releasing this guy from a "western world" standpoint didn't do s***, nor will it ever, on gaining any type of sympathy from terrorist organizations. In fact, it makes them more bold, which has been proven time and time again.
-
Because we're so compassionate. But, we'd like electrical devices hung on the testicles of Wall Street workers.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 07:25 PM) yeah but its accurate so... Soundbytes. Drama. GREEED. BANKS SUCK!
-
Wilson looks like a piece of dog s*** out there.
-
You completely turned the conversation into that. It's what you do when you can't talk your way out of something. GREED. BANKERS. WALL STREET. CORPORATIONS. SUCK. That's about it, right?

77 degrees, and no wind. Ahhh, great night for baseball.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) No one has ever lost 4 games in a single postseason. CJ Wilson has lost 3 and is on the mound tonight. That's an interesting stat. This is kind of "duh" but whoever wins tonight wins the series... so this is a gigantic game. "Duh".

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 06:50 PM) Not go through the 2008 collapse. But hey, continue pretending wall street has shown effective management. This isn't about "wall street". I'm so sick and f***ing tired of cliches and little soundbytes to fit stupidity.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 08:27 PM) Yes they would...if they believed that by moving stuff offshore they could convince naive legislators and conservatives to support even lower tax rates. Like, for example, they might convince GWB to support a 1 time "onshoring funds tax holiday". Then following that up by massively increasing the amount of money kept overseas, so that 5 years later you could come back and insist on another "1 time onshoring tax holidary". Okay. Whatever. What would we ever do without your business saavy and corporate executive skills?
-
Your reality is a little bit jaded. If there were as many exemptions as you think there are, then all these "evil corporations" wouldn't offshore, now would they? You can't have it both ways.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread

Actually, I hope they do. These people are a bunch of idiots. -
Nah, that's just you getting Pwned.

QUOTE (SI1020 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) Certainly. The White Sox offensive juggernaut the last few years proves it. Especially the way Sox hitters like to work a pitcher to get a favorable count, which means a better pitch to hit. Damn, where did my sarcasm meter go?
-
I'll answer the question with a question. What could cause, for example, a decrease in corporate tax rates, despite the rise in the rates themselves? This is something that most GOP folks get wrong, IMO. They scream tax cuts (and so do I) but you have to do it right.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 09:14 AM) Great graph demonstrating why the "47% of Americans pay no income taxes" is such a misleading point...because that group still pays payroll taxes...and look what has happened with payroll taxes as a share of revenue. This is a misleading chart anyway.

Well, all we have to do to get rain is have an important baseball game. We're supposed to have severe thunderstorms roll through about 9 or 10 tonight. Damn, I guess I better go mow my jungle of a lawn.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Oct 22, 2011 -> 03:57 PM) No hate session, you're just a Kenny apologist. Wear it proudly my friend. What does that even mean? You're a Guillen apologist. Does that make it any better? I mean, I understand that your sources are in Miami now and everything...

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 22, 2011 -> 03:27 PM) This just in, Marty hates Kenny. He would. His information isn't from that side of the house.

QUOTE (sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 07:43 PM) Sitting in MBA class... wanting to poke my eyes out. Holy s***. You must be bored to come back to a site you haven't visited in two years. Dumbass.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 08:03 PM) How frequently are CEO's performing data-gathering and analysis of average employee pay vs. CEO pay? Or actually analyzing the data to see if SOX has had economy-wide impacts vs. solely from their own viewpoint? It is actually required by law now. Thank you DoddyFranky.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 16, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) The bolded is the opposite of reality. The GOP core doesn't like him exactly because he's more moderate than they'd like, but that will play much better in the general than the primaries. Romney has a much better shot against Obama than Perry, or Cain. So following your theory that the media wants Romney, it follows that the media wants Obama out. The media is trying like hell to nominate someone they feel is a lesser threat to Obama. Romney is that candidate. He's a pus.....hover. And Tex, the major problem with Perry is his arrogance. He thought he could walk right in and win this thing. He sticks out his chest and screams "TEXAS!!!!!!!" and thinks everyone should vote for him. Guess what? No one gives a s*** about what he can do for Texas, they care about what he can do for our country. Maybe when he gets a little more humility (never) he would have a chance.
