That makes sense. I won't argue the fact that these people should be treated 'humanely', whatever that means. At the same time, the detention and treatment of these people are far better then what they probably had for a living in Afghanistan, but yet, we have to politicize this and say that they deserve "CONSTITUTIONAL" rights, and I do not think they deserve that at all.

Yea, I do agree it's people of all cultures and colors that are milking the system.

Breifly, how can you guarantee someone's rights if they are not a US citizen as applied in Guantanamo? Now, the part about our conduct in battle, etc. and trying to tie it to existing accords, no, that's not unconstututional. But, I think that you can't write a law for combatants already captured and then turn around and say they have rights that they don't under the constitution. I may have drawn the wrong paralell. Dang I can't spele today.

Yea, Nuke did only quote one source, but, there are a lot of people who are in the "welfare role" here - looking to the government to take care of them instead of taking care of themselves. It's on the news here almost nightly.

If the forecast holds, I may not go at all. It's supposed to be 100+ every day starting this Thursday. I knew this summer was going to suck when it was 100+ in April, and May we had NO rain, which is supposed to be our "rainiest month"... Texas is so screwed this year with the drought situation. Anyway... we'll see how things go, but I don't feel like sitting there for a game when it's that hot.

There are quite a few people that are trying to live off the gravy train. My very next door neighbors are from N.O. and Katrina evacs... but they are very cool people, taking jobs and helping themselves back on their feet. They have two very little kids (the one was a brand new newborn when they had to leave and the other was a year and a half). I really admire them, because they're just slowly chipping away at things, getting back on track. Very nice people. Then you have assholes like this, which are way too many...
