  1. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:47 PM) s***ty Congressmen shouldn't be reelected period. I wouldn't mind seeing about 500 out of 535 new faces. But it ain't gonna happen.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) THAT is HYSTERICAL!
  3. Flaxx, if the reporters are leaking legit classified information, you don't see a problem with trying to stop that?
  4. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 17, 2006 -> 02:17 AM) and yet I don't see why so many people want a new CF. DING.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 17, 2006 -> 02:11 AM) Boone Logan should be in Birmingham by now. Amen, brother. I've seen enough of him for a year or two.
  6. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) So, as today's Brian Ross and Richard Esposito story is breaking that ABC News, WaPo, and NYT reporters are having their call logs tracked by the government in an effort to root out confidential sources, you can insist that freedoms are not curtailed by this intrusion? http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/0...al_source_.html It is an equally simple matter to track call logs of all your political opponents, whistleblowing current and former CIA or NSA officials, or pesky Special Prosecutors so you can stay a step ahead of them. But it's all good. Don't talk to anybody the government doesn't want you to talk to and don't challenge anything they do and you won't have a problem. What bullls***. *I* could have called those people after the story broke, just for s***s and giggles to watch them squirm. Why is it that everything has to be believed, evil, and sinister? Whatever.
  7. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 16, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) Yeah, and it also scares me about how this country will look in 50 years if we don't change this now. Habla Espanol? Si.
  8. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 16, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) I've gotten two separate endorsements of my idea. The Shiner is mine!!! No way, you damn yankee. You know, I'd offer to buy you one but you stood me up last time.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 16, 2006 -> 06:52 PM) I'd just like to say that I have a lot more respect for Kucinich than I do for various others and the left end (Kennedy, Feingold, etc.). I think Kucinich is what some might call "the real thing". I haven't met the man, so I am speculating here, but his actions speak words of honesty to me. He is there to crusade for what he sees as just causes, and doesn't seem to be as poisoned by the political machine as many others. One thing I will give him is he hasn't waivered in his opinions, unlike a lot of folks.
  10. QUOTE(JimH @ May 16, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) Pregnant women are all over $1 beer night This thread has all the makings of an instant classic. Tell her that a fellow Sox fan in Dallas just had a baby, and the Sox are worth going, and that beautiful little baby will love being 'outside' (oh... wait a minute...) I win. Where's my Shiner?
  11. I don't think it's anyone in the lineup - unless it makes us REMARKABLY better. The pen is what will need help on the back side of the year this year.
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) So you agree that he's the most corrupt political official of all time? Wow, I'm no expert in politics, but I think I could could come up with a couple dozen political leaders who would be considered much more... In Mexico, yes. Well, wait a minute. He's actually brilliant, pawning off the poorest of his country on the good ol' US of A. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) Tell me where the line is for for legal entry for unskilled non-English speaking laborers and their hungry families and I will pass the information along. So, by your logic, it's ok then. Nice.
  13. We have one more upgrade to make, but it's more of a 'behind the scenes' type of upgrade. Not sure when that will take place, but we'll try to let you know as it happens.
  14. yea, she scratched herself pretty good that first night. now, she is getting those chubby newborn cheeks even a couple of days later. kinda funny to see how much they change even in a matter of a couple of days. and yea, tex, it's scary, isn't it?

  16. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 13, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) Yes, because someone (probably Northsidesox) will bring it up, all religions have their problems--just happens those connected to Islam are attributed to far more violence than others. And as much as some people don't want to admit it, there's obviously ambigious versus within the Quran which may be misinterpreted by those reading them. This is an issue. There may be a Christian backed, right-wing conspiracy constructed to soil Islam's reputation, but from what I've observed from my own unbiased eyes, this religion has a MAJOR image problem. Yeah, go ahead and tell me about Christianity's problems with the KKK, or what transpired 800 years ago in Europe. Islam is living three hundred years behind the rest of the civilized world. I wouldn't mock the "religion of peace" label, though. Even if you liberally calculate active terrorists associated with Islam, it wouldn't be enough to account for 1/50 of 1%. Problem is whenever something is attributed to Islam--aka., terrorist bombing, there's always the two groups. One suggests, mockingly, "religion of peace at it again..." Another replies, "You can't hold all Muslim's accountable! Chrisitians aren't exactly void of trouble!" I don't believe neither are right. As usual, the truth lies in between both arguments. Good post.
