  1. Is anyone else but me worried that there's only one lefty in our rotation? I mean, there's going to be some very good lefty/switch hitters in this division the next couple of years (Guillen, Martinez, Morneau, Mauer), and I think I'd be more comfortable with two lefties in the rotation.
  2. Let's hope this is the beginning of a different kind of streak!
  3. Sorry for commenting on the Cubs here - I know I shouldn't talk about them in here, rather in the SportsBar, but: I hate to say it folks, but the Cubs are becoming a team that really doesn't need to rely on 'prospects' for quite a while. They are going to become a team that spends so much money, that prospects become less and less a factor. They'll be able to go and buy free agents, rather than having to rely on the farm.
  4. Woah woah woah woah woah - when you start calling the Star Spangled Banner a 's***ty song', then I start to have a problem with you...
  5. Couple of comments: -Wilson Valdez is raking! IMO, he should be a nice September 40-ManRoster call up. And he should make a fine backup next season. -Poor Arnie Munoz. Tonight wasn't as bad as other days, but he's been getting killed at AAA. I hope he can rebound. -Way to go, B-Mac!
  6. Glaus is a lot better than Crede. And he was mashing earlier this season, he got that eye-surgery, and he said it helped him a ton. Unfortunately he got injured, but I'd take him over Crede any day of the week.
  7. I wonder if they are going to try and fix this 'flaw', that Kenny was talking about, before the start.
  8. Here's our team, at the current moment, for next year - and this is with no trades, so this is an unlikely roster, but. C - _______ , Davis 1B- Konerko 2B-Uribe/Harris 3B-Crede SS-______ OF-Everett OF-Rowand OF-Probably Borchard DH-Probably Thomas Rotation of - Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, Garland, Diaz/Cotts/FA Bullpen of - Adkins, Cotts, Marte, _______, ________, Takatsu I'd like to see Troy Glaus signed - I'd like to see a catcher who can handle a pitching staff well, with Davis getting in some time if he can improve his offense, and I'd probably like to see another OF in here besides Borchard. And - we'll need to pick up an arm or two for the bullpen. At least our roation is basically set for next year - and if we go hard after Pavano, we'll be in very good shape, regardless of what our lineup looks like.
  9. If they stay on schedule, his last start was the 29th. So - his first start should be on the third or fourth, which IIRC, will be game two or three of the KC series. Just trying to clarify, here.
  10. I'm still in it - I promised myself I would stay away from the Sox for a bit, but it's just too hard. Let's go get 'em tomorrow, Freddy!
  11. However, the Cubs now have a very poor defensive middle infield of Walker and Garciaparra, but now the Cubs can sure mash the ball...
  12. I'm pissed - but I'm still in. I'll be in till October 3rd.
  13. I'm gonna stay away from this board for a couple days, maybe even stay away from watching this team for a few days. I've reached the limit, and I'm pissed off. I'll probably be posting in the SportsBar a bit, but that's all... C-Ya guys - bring me hope a White Sox Winner tomorrow.
  14. Buehrle is up to about 110 pitches, correct? Let him pitch another inning, or what?
  15. Alright offense - ONE RUN. LET'S GO SOX! One run guys, come on, one run... That's all...
  16. One run guys, come on, squeeze out one more run.
  17. Buehrle has to hold the goose-egg on the board for the Tigers tonight.
  18. f***ing lack of f***ing execution... COME ON LEE...
  19. Why the hell would we pick him up? If they don't want him, then there was obviosuly a problem with him... He's a cancer...
  20. I'm hearing Murton was one of the better prospects in the BoSox organization. BTW - Can someone give me the RedSox fansites? Isn't it sonsofsamhorn.com?
  21. Isn't it sort of funny, there's a Loaiza bobblehead day later this year? I wonder what they're going to do with all those bobbleheads...
  22. RECAP: Kenny likes the trade, says that the atmosphere will be better here than in NY with more Latin influence, and the Sox see something in Contreras' motion that tips his pitches. Sox want to change this and be beneficial to the team, and to himself. Sox also want more diversity in staff, basically feels that the AL Central has Loaiza figured out.
