  1. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) doesnt bother me at all. I love BT&H At least I know you and Addy have very good taste. My kind of posters.
  2. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) I think its the pose. Thats the boy band "We are all such great friends!" pose right there. I think you should make it a no doubter. Eh.. that's an ok shot, but I can get a better pic if I wanted. But hey, that's what close homies are all about and I still like one of the four (five if ya count Flesh) best rappers in Hip-Hop history. I'll consider it though if it kinda bothers posters here.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) Its the thuggish ruggish boy band :finger :finger :finger
  4. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:14 PM) Unrelated: I know that's Bone Thugs in your avatar, ace, but, everytime I see it, I think it's the Backstreet Boys or some other boy-band. I don't know if it's the jerseys or what, but, I can't help it. Well Addy, I can understand, but minus Bizzy Bone, (who is mixed like me) these guys are clearly black. I thought you were gonna say Blackstreet. That's another "group" not "band" per say.. ya know.
  5. That's how my hair is right now, and my nickname is Jerry. I love Pablo.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) Colon flat out deserved it. Now I wouldn't say that Jas. And I'm surprised Felix that you had Buerhle on that list. Why not Garland? He had a career year. Not saying Buehrle is undeserving as well, but I'm just stating don't count out what Garland did. As a matter of fact, I remember a poster here who compared Garland and Santanas' stats to Colons and that Colon really shouldn't had gotten it. Garland's Line W-18 L-10 ERA-3.50 G-32 GS-32 CG-3 SHO-3 IP-221.0 H-212 R-93 ER-86 HR-26 BB-47 SO-115 Colon's Line W-21 L-8 ERA-3.48 G-33 GS-33 CG-2 SHO-0 IP-222.2 H-215 R-93 ER-86 HR-26 BB-43 SO-157 Santana's Line W-16 L-7 ERA-2.87 G-33 GS-33 CG-3 SHO-2 IP-231.2 H-180 R-77 ER-74 HR-22 BB-45 SO-238 And to mind you, Garland did miss a start, who knows how he would had done but I can bet you his line would had been better than Colons if we would started another game plus the year he had last season. You can make a case for Garland or Santana, but all that aside, Santana DID get robbed IMO, and this is evident.
  7. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 10:59 AM) This is the highest Thomas will ever be considered by the NBA. I hope the blazers take him and the bulls get Aldridge, he is much better. Aldridge or Noah (I wish he would had declared but I will never blame a guy for going to school) and I say "Giddy up" for the bulls. (signing Harrington wouldn't hurt eigher) The upside on Thomas though is he is really young and can improve dramatically in the NBA during seasoning. Barely 20 years old, I believe he will be the youngest top 10 pick chosen.
  8. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) We won last year. These teams should fear us. Took the words right out of my mouth. I guarantee you the fans of their respected teams list us as their #1 scared threat to beat. Hands down. It's great that we have a problem like this cause were basically saying who COULD beat us. Which team can have a chance whereas they are saying "We have to beat the sox to win" (unless your one of the players cough.. Dmitri Young... cough)
  9. Finally I will have experience in the bedroom!!
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) Dude, I just read the part about Proof in your sig. I had no clue. That is really messed up. Off Topic: Yea Slav it is man. I'm really surprised Eminem didn't write a song about Proof yet. Maybe the pain is too much for him it is really a lost to the industry of rap/hip hop. No he wasn't Pac or B.I.G or anything but he was still a good rapper and most importantly, a good human being, who didn't even reach his prime. R.I.P. I believe he has a website too in that article in my sig. I was discussing this to my friends the other day how everything has changed from, lets say, 12-15 years ago growing up. People were getting killed in the early 90's for their gym shoes (Jordans/Barkleys etc). Now its basically gang related or over a woman/man or something. Can't imagine what the next 10 years will bring as of right now I'm hearing the KKK comming back to form up again around that time.
  11. Garland now has a good shot at getting his quality starts back in order. Hopefully he can get that era back to... well.. better..
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) The BA stuff is getting beyond old. We know he's struggling. Why say it every single day? Get used to get Heads. It's gonna be like this till he has like a 2-3, or a 3-4 day or something. I should put in bold letters somewhere in my sig that BA=ROOKIE give him time somewhere. I also believe (I might be mistaken but I swear I remember) Crosby of the A's started off horribly in his rookie season and still finished with good numbers and won the ROY honors.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) Maybe not now but one can argue when he was young that he might of had what would of been the best stuff or near to it in the AL/NL. I completely agree with your statement here. That's what I was saying. We got some young kids up now (F. Hernandez, Verlander, Zumiya, and a couple in the NL) who have stuff that is unheard-of in the majors now. If Count was younger, put him right in that mix for now and the future. In the second half last season he was great, but he did it mostly by not walking guys and falling into a deep (or bad) count not by stuff unless it was 0-2, 1-2. Everyone seems to forget he was basically a two pitch pitcher for a while until he had enough confidence in his other pitch and when he established his fastball.
  14. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) See, I don't buy that argument: he's 31 years old this year! Sure, he's a "rookie" in MLB You basically just lost me with that statement. And when you say passed his historical prime for hitters, that doesn't get to me whatsoever. We got guys who are 30-35 years old barely making it to the majors now and who were career minor leaguers. You think they hit their "historic prime" as a pitcher or a hitter? I just said he was basically a rookie in MLB. He, Ichiro, Matsui, yada, yada, yada were once here as rookies like it or not. It doesn't matter what age they were. Sure it's a stupid rule but it is what it is. We both at least agree he'll probably hit a higher average this season, but I'm willing to bet he hits .300-.305 very soon. (could even be this season) And for someone who was a power hitter in Japan and had to sacrifice himself to move Pods over or get him in anyway he can as a rookie to THAT position, (in the #2 spot) that was amazing. Like Ozzie said he was our MVP in our line-up like it or not.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) dude has the 2nd best raw stuff in baseball next to A.J. Burnett I agree with everything you said except this statement. No offense, but your drinking alittle too much sox kool-aid right there. Count has amazing stuff, but he does not have the best (or second) raw stuff even in the AL, yet alone baseball. Didn't watch the game tonight but I'm glad the sox pulled this one out. Playing KC right now couldn't come at a better time, and it can really get us jump started series to series now. Good win all around.
  16. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) Uh, I think that 13 games in--it's a little to early to say that Gooch is now a .348 hitter SOLELY because Pods isn't getting on base. I'll go on record as saying that this is a silly post and that Iguchi will finish the season batting under .300--no matter what the leadoff hitter does in front of him. Gooch is a good player, just not a .300 hitter--nothing in his career stats suggests anything to the contrary. You just said it's too early to tell about his average in 13 games. Yet, it is too early to see what Gooch is gonna hit. Maybe you forgot that last season was Iguchi's first year in the majors?!?! He is gonna hit for a higher average this year I'll guarantee you that. And when he's in the league more, he'll know the pitchers, adjust (as he does so well already) and get more hits off them. He looks real steady at the plate more this season, and I doubt he'll strike out 100+ times this year like he did last season. Give him a break though. He was basically a rookie here.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 11:29 PM) Thanks to tiebreakers... Pacers > Bucks > Bulls The Wiz losing at LEAST 1 of these 2 games is our only shot of going higher in the seeding at this point.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) I think that's one of the harder things in baseball to do..stay patient with young players. That being said you just have to do it because if you believe in that player, you just can't give up on him after 2 weeks, a month or even a year. It takes different players different amounts of time to grow and become the player they have the potential to be. You give up on a young, talented player this quick and a lot of time it will come back and bite you in the ass. Agreed 100%. I'd take a guy with alot of skills, who was a first round draft pick, who has some tools (avg, speed, power I really do see BA as a 20/20 guy) who has hit in every stop he's made in the minors, who plays solid defense, and who is only 23-24 years old and has a cheap salary.. Why are we even discussing this, by mid May I can guarantee a thread (or someone bringing back this one or another) called "Anderson is GOD" or "Aaron who?"

    Easter Dinner

Spending Easter at my grandmothers so I haven't got a clue yet. But I've already said if there is no Mac n Cheese there, I'm gone.
  20. He is not better than Urlacher, not yet, but Urlacher is very overrated and I'm a serious bears fan. It's funny cause other teams players (CAR, GB, SEA, etc.) say that Briggs is a great linebacker who is going to be better (even better than Brian.) Coaches have praised Briggs as well. Urlacher is a GREAT player, but Briggs has the potential to be even better. He really is a beast.
  21. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) Belle was the only one there that actually helped the team. You don't think Damaso Marte helped the sox?
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) No Jeremy Reed? Give this man an award.
  23. I will always love Jeff "What could had been" Abbott.
  24. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) If I keep improving at this rate, I'll make the best sigs on the site by 2078. I plan on outliving you all. Your one of the youngest kids on this site. Your doing a pretty good job so far.
