4/16 Sox at A’s
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 11:05 PM) Delmonico hurt? No way you bring in a defensive replacement if you're down 2-0. Said it before, I still highly doubt his shoulder is 100%. In fact, probably something he has to play with all year.

QUOTE (aryzner @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 11:04 PM) This is so White Sox of them to do nothing against a guy who's been knocked around by every other team he's faced this season so far. Not to mention can't win in this stadium with his hometown team. But, we can't win here either given our history. Immovable object vs unstoppable force

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:41 PM) Well sure, but you still want to see him show some clue against offspeed pitches I'm satisfied with him getting hit(s) at this point. Baby steps..

QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:40 PM) Lopez looks good, got squeezed early too No doubt. He wasn't getting the low strikes like the other guy.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:02 PM) And I hate being negative, but another groundball for Avi. He’s in a lot of trouble if he doesn’t find a way to get some loft on his balls and fast. I didn't realize he has 0 walks to start the year. He's making Matt Davidson look like Joey Votto.

Giving up an out instead of stealing again goes for not Ricky.. I'm shocked he actually let Moncada run tonight

Still don't like Ricky having Moncada bunt, but he did get the job done.

Sox send Frazier/DRob/Kahnle to NY ~ Rutherford/Clarkin/Clippard/Polo
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 07:53 AM) How is Clarkin talent wise ahead of Dunning? I really don’t get where these insanely pro assentments of Clarkin are coming from. He never dominated High A like Dunning did for long stretches last year. The stuff is most definitely worse and the command is at best the same. I get Clarkin is left-handed and a former first round pick, but I’ll take Dane’s talents over his any day of the week and it’s not even close IMO. Coming out, he was definitely more talented. Dude had a Kershaw comp and had damn good stuff. He's not that guy anymore (similar to Giolito in that regard) but he's still a pretty good prospect. Dunning is definitely ahead though now overall, I agree with you there.

4/14 Games
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 09:42 PM) That's a hell of a prediction for those first three with Robert having no at bats here on the mainland outside of ST and Micker never being healthy. Eloy is obviously the bessss though. Especially considering just a year prior, Adolfo had a bleek future and was getting written off. I'd actually be shock if he reaches his potential but I'm rooting for him. Robert just needs to freaking stay healthy. Has all the tools. We'll see with him. Not worried about Eloy.

4/14 Games
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 08:51 PM) They said it was 2 to 3 MPH slow on the broadcast earlier, but that probably doesn’t explain that droppoff. Correct. I was wondering why I saw Kopech at 96-97 until the broadcasters said that (still fast, but he was really at 98-100)

OT Sox prospect wise, but Gleyber Torres is fun to watch.

4/14 Games
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 07:44 PM) No doubt, would be awesome to turn him into a top 100 caliber prospect. The tools are clearly there to make a massive jump this year. I put him as my dark horse in that biggest surprise, disappointment and dark horse thread. He defintely has all the tools. Lets hope he puts it all together this year as some here already wrote him off at 21.

Moncada
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 10:01 PM) It's OK to be critical. Most Sox fans think Moncada will be fine and is just getting used to the bigs. But if somebody wants to be critical, let 'em go for it. It's not like Sox management or any managements care about their fans. Folks, they don't NEED to charge as much as they do for beer and parking. I thought folks on here said TV was the source of all the real money and all that matters. If some want to blast Moncada, why be so sensitive about it? He's a big boy and makes a good buck. Have you read this thread or are you talking out of your ass again Greg?

Ti'Quan Forbes has 7 walks already (only 2 strikeouts). For a kid whose plate discipline coming in was suspect, that's pretty impressive.

2017-2018 NHL discussion thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:15 PM) Panarin with the OT winner tonight That trade is and still was terrible. Lets hope Saad rebounds next season. But the myth of Panarin not performing in the playoffs can be put to rest. I still wonder why Q never let him have his own line instead of riding shotgun with Kane the whole time.

FutureSox Night at Guaranteed Rate (Wed 6/13)
This is amazing for you guys to host this. Said this many times, but FS has definitely come a long way. Gonna have to try and make it to see everyone. If dasox goes, I'll definitely go though.

UPDATE: Volstad called up, Infante reassigned to AAA
QUOTE (glangon @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 07:00 AM) Volstad is a potential bring him up, see if he can stick around, then flip him at the deadline. It will cost nothing to bring him up. I reckon it will be a right handed reliever which would be him or Vieira. The only other thought may be someone like Gonzalez or Austin to cover the injury to Castillo, if it is more serious than they first thought. Haha great call despite the hate from it earlier.

2018 NFL off-season thread
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 07:22 AM) It’s fine if you don’t think size will limit Cohen & Gabriel’s utility, but let’s not compare 5-10 & 5-11 guys to 5-6 & 5-7 guys. Taylor Gabriel is 5-8 btw.

2018 NFL off-season thread
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 09:36 PM) Shaheen, Burton, Gabriel, Robinson, a mid round pick and Cohen (btw, midgets? really? Hill is tiny too. it doesn’t matter) Yea I thought that was a dumb statement as well. Obviously Hill, Wilson and hell, even Hunt are all under 6 foot giants. Kelce is the exact same height as guess who? Shaheen. I doubt Nagy has a preference there. Bears have a nice mixture of tall possession targets and small speedsters. Still need one more guy (wasn't a big Meredith fan anyways) to keep Bellamy away from being an option. I'll judge that part with Pace after the draft is over.

2017-18 official NBA discussion thread
I was 100% wrong on the Rockets beating the Kings. Thank god. Hopefully coin flip goes our way (and more). Should be around the Bamba, Young, possibly MPJ range if we stay at 6.
