QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 07:39 PM) You went out on a limb. No big deal. On a limb?! He f***ing guarandamnteed it! Put his rep and dignity he had left on the line. Lebron not only b****ed slapped himself and the NBA he took Steven to the back, raped him cold, and slit his throat. I will bury his name on my sig later. You will be missed Steven Harnden.
-
Chris Broussard is the f***ing man BTW. Excellent sources. He called this yesterday as a final answer and stuck to it.
-
Well he had a good run. Had some laguhs... some rips... some cries... but now he's dead.. at leats to me. July 8th 2010 8:27 pm his posting style, his credibility and he himself as a poster has passed on here at soxtalk. We'll tolerate you forever.. some might love you. All in all... it was too soon. RIP Steve9347.

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:17 PM) remember this post from wade not so long ago.....makes me believe that source a little bit more.....l2ms? lebron to miami soon? Heads already said that a WHILE back and I called him a genius on it. He was half kidding, but it looks like he was right all along. Ima head out though, but I will be watching this. If we get James or James goes to Miami, I will either put my excitement on, or rip Steve and the little dignity he has left to shreds. If he goes to Cleveland or New York, I'll just come back on at 10 pm or so.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) http://theclevelandfan.com/index.php?optio...ve&Itemid=5 PG eh? That is actually a brilliant idea by Riley. Been saying it will come down to Chicago, Cleveland or Miami. If he chooses Miami, then him playing PG would be incredible to watch. James-PG Wade-SG Beasley-SF Bosh-PF Steve Harnden-C Yikes...

The silver lining about Hudson/2nd half schedule...

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) But if you can line up your better pitchers against the better teams, then that's what you do. For sure no doubt, but some people are acting like the kid needs to pitch against only teams like KC, Seattle, etc.. every night. Eventually he has to face the Bostons, NYY of the world. Luckally he already has that MLB experience from last year, and I'm one of Huddy's biggest fans so I know he can handle it. -
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) Texas has got to be pissed Jon Danks is not in their rotation right now. Meh, they are pissed alot of guys aren't still on their team. They slowly made up for some of that with stealing Andrus, Feliz, Harrison, etc..

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) Who is the doofus we sent to the D-Rose lottery? Use him. He's lucky. Steve Schanwald, and yes.. he is money.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) Maybe because Paul Millisap is probably better, who knows. But hell, a stat like that is +/- in hockey. I don't know if that tells anywhere near the whole story. +/- in basketball is not nearly the same as +/- in hockey. In fact.. most stats like that in basketball are irrelevant especially when you factor in subbing, defensive rotations, playing against bench players, etc.. At least with hockey most of the top defensemen and top lines play against other top teams lines/defensemen majority of the night.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) I am confident that Lebron James will be a bull. I don't know why just am. I'm going to work now so this will be the last thought I have on this subject here and I wanted it to the be positive. Oh we'll see your black ass later tonight anyways. And yes I agree with you... and also praying and keeping the faith.

The silver lining about Hudson/2nd half schedule...

No need to totally baby the kid. He's got to face the big boys/teams soon enough. -
QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) 1.3 mil is a decent gamble for Modano. I'd rather pay that much for Modano than Marty Reasoner even at age 40. He's way better than Reasoner. Not sure why the Hawks aren't looking into this (trade Reasoner) especially when Modano was attracted to the Hawks young core and high praised us a couple weeks ago.

QUOTE (jhonnydanks @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:21 PM) jhonny danks is who we thought he was And the Angels let him off the hook!
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:15 PM) Agreed. Boozer is horrendous on defense, his help defense is as bad as it gets (watching him get constantly lost off the ball in the Lakers series down the stretch of games was infuriating) and his man to man D isn't exactly stellar either. http://nbaplaybook.com/2010/05/03/the-lake...decision-maker/ I would think even the biggest basketball idiots would know Boozer is a sieve defensively, that has already been said here numerous times.
-
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) They both suck defensively. Amare just doesn't try, Boozer is limited with his length and lateral quickness. Boozer's career average is only 17 a game even playing the pick and roll with Williams, Amare is at 21. That's a big difference. I don't see how how that is any different. He doesn't try cause he doesn't want to do it. Now he's going back to D'Antoni's system and you know he won't be doing it for the rest of his career. Add in micro-fracture knee surgery and a busted eye on top of this not to mention has more mileage on his body.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) Sox starters over last 5 games..... 30 2/3 IP, 18 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, 19 K, 0.91 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, 3.80 K/BB Sox are 5-0 over that stretch. What about the 22-5 run Joe?
-
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) And props to Ervin Santana with his CG, 3 hit gem. This. Both pitchers were amazing today. Very tought loss for Santana but hey somehow has to take it. Better him than Jhonny.
-
No more trade talks of a 25 year old guy who IMO is the best pitcher/ace on our staff even before this performance.. please.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:52 PM) I'll take Boozer over Amar'e, honestly. You won't get an argument from me. For a big guy, Amar'e can't board to save his life (though he's better in the playoffs) and has played with Nash damn near his whole career. (Boozer was already a solid player before Deron Williams came into the league and became Deron Williams) Also he is the worst overall defender between the two IMO.
-
DANKS!!! MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE!
-
Wow Vizquel making up for that error. Danks might save the bullpen today.
-
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:41 PM) Also, any expert in the league will tell you that Bosh is a better player, and that Boozer isn't even a top-5 player at his position. Other than Bosh, Dirk, Amar'e and Gasol name me one more that is better than Boozer. Not trying to prove anything, but I'm drawing a blank off the top of my head since Duncan played center last season (unless you want to still count him as a power forward) Garnett is declining and Aldridge isn't there yet.
-
My goodness Danks.. 8 IP 2 H 0 R 0 ER 0 BB 6 SO.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) K.C Johnson KCJHoop Jazz will sign-and-trade Boozer to Bulls. Bulls get protected 2nd-round pick. Jazz get trade exception. Does this mean Booz gets his 6th year and more $?
-
I still think he would want to play for the team he grew up rooting for. But then again, Wade played us and he grew up here. Still though, I think we will be the final 3 teams along with Cleveland and Miami IMO.
