  1. I can't stand watching Swisher and Thome take strike three all year long, and Swisher does it yesterday with the the tying run on. I'm also tired of Danks pitching 5 or 6 innings. Don't say its his fatigue either because he's been doing it all year. That's why he has 11 no decisions. Saunders has the exact same pitches as Danks, but he's alot more affective. Learn to pitch Danks.

The Whitesox remind me of an old beat up car. They think because it's still running that it's a good car when it's not good. Even if this team makes the playoffs they aren't going anywhere. They'll be on the road the first round of the playoffs and they suck on the road.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 03:43 PM) I don't think the heat of a pennant race is where a young hurler with only AA experience should be thrust. We have a couple options. DJ Carrasco can satrt or we use Richard, who pitched only 1 inning of Sunday's game. I am not thrilled with that choice, but it is what it is and maybe getting his feet wet and his butt whipped in 3 starts makes him a little wiser and thus a better choice for Tuesday Joba Chamberlain seemed to do fine with the pressure.
  4. As a hitter, you look for two aspects of a pitch: location, speed. If you already know where the location is then 1/2 your work is done. That's why Vazquez get's his ass kicked yet still strikes out 10 guys, they know the location but guess the wrong pitch.
  5. Does anyone know why a pitcher that throws as hard as Vazquez does lives on the outside corner? Isn't that for soft tossing lefties? He should at least come inside one pitch per batter. If I were Ozzie I would start calling his pitches. I think his problem is more pitch selection vs. having the stuff. Thoughts?
  6. Does anyone know our record when Crede doesn't play? Seems like we always suck without him.
  7. Whitesox suck on the road. Twins do too. We swept them in a four game series in Chicago. I want to go on a killing spree just like the next sox fan but we are still in first and have alot of games left. Plus now we have Griffey!
  8. I hope Griffey can pitch because that's what we need.
  9. The twins have two good players. Thats it TWO. AND THEY ARE KILLING US. WHY EVEN PITCH TO THEM????
  10. I figured this was the first domino of at least a pair that would fall, but it doesn't look like anything else happened which leaves me confused.
  11. If this is true and TB makes the playoffs then TB and LAA are both going to be fun to watch. We have faired well against both.
  12. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) Swish and Fields for Zimmerman and a prospect, I'd like that better I'm not a huge Zimmerman fan. I'm not saying he sucks, just not a fan.
  13. How about Swisher for Lannan + Prospects?
  14. When is the deadline? 3pm est?
  15. I'll give KW the benefit of the doubt. We've all doubted him more than agreed with him and he's given us a championship and 2 great teams in the past 4 years.
  16. mlbtraderumors.com = Enquirer of baseball, 99% is all BS and they just repeat it from somewhere else. Manny is getting traded. Manny wants out. Manny isn't going anywhere. Teams interested in Manny. Minaya wants Manny. Manny wants out. Epstein can find taker.
  17. Swisher isn't that big of an improvement over Konerko offensively. Are we talking .219 vs. .239? What is that like 5 hits more on the season? Both should be benched. I guess Konerko is a start.
  18. I do think some people put too much emphasis on our minor leagues. Yes it would be nice to have tons of talent down there but the point is to be #1 in the majors not the minors. Some could say you need prospects in order to do that. The Dodgers, best prospects in my opinion, are proof the two aren't related.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) The Truth shall set you free. Braveheart?
  20. I bet Fields kills Robertson. He eats up lefties. Maybe his callup will wake him up a little. Boras will still get $10mil/year for a broken Crede somewhere.
  21. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) The crazy trade scenarios you just suggested are straight out of an Xbox I was actually only serious about the LaRoche + Lowe for Cabrera + Logan, then I was joking. The odds of one deal are slim let along 3 huge deals.
  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) Hopefully you dont get the red rings of death What do you mean by that?
  23. BTW, I don't ever remember a rumored Sox deal that actually went down, so I doubt this happens. Quentin: Under the radar Swisher: Under the radar Cabrera: Under the radar Thome: Under the radar Floyd: Under the radar Danks/Masset: Under the radar Thornton: Under the radar Freddy Garcia: Under the radar Does anyone ever remember hearing rumors about any of these? Just curious.
  24. If we got Duchscherer would we assume that Contreras is out of the rotation? I'd rather we went after Lowe in a deal that would also net us LaRoche. Any takers for Logan + Cabrera for Lowe and LaRoche? then Poreda + Fields for Duchscherer then Vazquez to Mets for prospects then prospects to Orioles for Roberts This is so easy Buerhle Floyd Danks Lowe Duchshcerer wow
  25. I like the idea of trading Fields and letting Crede walk, and trading for LaRoche as the long term replacement. Fields stock is probably worth more than LaRoche despite a bad year in AAA this year. How about Fields + Haegar for Street, Broadway/MacDougal for LaRoche. Think I'd get any bites?
