How many times have you seen a platoon combine for all star stats? Seriously. I can't think of any. I can't stand managers that change players everyday based on who is pitching (with the exception to bad asses like Randy Johnson, Schilling, etc.). Throw them in the water and it's sink or swim. Regarding your comments on Rowand, I would never sit him. He is a major league baseball player and deserves to play everyday. His only weakness I've seen this year is hitting with runners in scoring position.

Platooning is gay. If you can't hit both lefties and righties you shouldn't be in the majors.

Why do we want to trade Maggs? Maybe if we get Smoltz. I don't see why we would want Jones whose numbers have dropped and Ortiz who walks everyone.

I don't blame Kenny for making those deals. Our team was the most talented team in the majors last year. It's not Kenny's fault Manuel and crew choked. How can Hicks say s***. He finished in the bottom of the standings with one of the top payrolls in baseball. Hicks is an idiot.

Our pitching staff has problems. They suck. But we are only 2 games back and have been playing without Maggs for a couple weeks. We pick up a good 5th starter and get some decent relief pitching then second place is ours!!!

I think Cotts pitch selection is bad. Most the homeruns I've seen him give up are off his fastball, which is only like 91mph. He needs to get his change up bad and utilize his curveball more.

I just can't stand watching teams throw money at players. Look at how many players got big paychecks and did nothing: Chan Ho Park, Higginson, Greg Vaugn, Mo Vaugn. f*** this overpaying s***. Another key note, Seattle said good bye to three future hall of famers Griffey, Rodriguez and Johnson and they actually got better. Money doesn't win games, real players win games.

We won't trade Reed or Bochard with the possibility that Maggs leaves this offseason. If we can't get Garcia, Sabathia or Sheets without giving up those two I say we get Benson. Pirates normally give their players away. Plus we are only talking about #5 starter. Benson was like #1-3 for the Pirates.

I could care less if we lose Maggs. This same situation has come up before with the Whitesox with McDowell, Fernandez, Alvarez and Ventura and they all sucked after they left. I'd rather see the Sox spread their money out. Bochard and Reed are eventually gonna have to get their playing time or get traded so I say bring them up next year. Maggs is good but I wouldn't pay him over $12 million a year, which is what Gurerro (sp?), Pujols and Bonds make and he is not in their league. The guy didn't even have 100 RBIs last year. I hate to see ya go Maggs but you are out of your mind.
