  1. I believe he is in his last year of his contract with a team option for next year. Player Contract Info
  2. The sox have seen Milton when he pitched for Minnesota. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/bvsp?pitcherId=3783Milton VS Sox
  3. It was just a matter of time before Jackson got rocked. He's an innings eater.
  4. But it's still not 120, which is what those guys get about every year.
  5. Maggs is good but I wouldn't pay him over $12 million a year, which is what Gurerro (sp?), Pujols and Bonds make and he is not in their league. The guy didn't even have 100 RBIs last year. I hate to see ya go Maggs but you are out of your mind.
  6. He sucks and I've seen nothing promising out of him.
  7. I wouldn't mind if we traded Reed now just as long as we got someone good (Sabathia or Sheets). The odds of good minor league players living up to their hipe is 1 in 100. Sabathia and Sheets are proven players and can get us to the next level.
  8. Throw in a good 5th starter and a healthy Ordonez and this team can beat anyone.
  9. Who in their right mind would pay Garcia $10million/year? GMs are so retarded these days. Garcia's ERA was over 4 the past two years. Buehrle is better than he is and makes far less. I would trade for him but he would definitely be our #5 starter. I wouldn't give up much either.
  10. I'm tired of people saying "just give him the money". Screw that. Texas just gave Rodriguez the money and they went no where. Draw your line and make him cross it.
  11. If Paul Abbott could win one game for us it would be an improvement.
  12. Koch sucks. It's Shingo time.
  13. I say don't gamble and get someone that isn't consistent. Get someone that is awesome and let's run with this division.
  14. We just need someone with experience that can milk innings. Like John Burkett.
  15. I doubt the Sox are going to give up their #5 hitter for a #5 starter. They'll find some cheap veteran that can milk some innings.
  16. Now that Kelly has been recalled Cotts will be the 5th starter. There is no room for him in the bullpen.
  17. Agreed. Why would you trade a player to a team that will turn around and beat you?

    Koch

Take away Koch's 4 run outing against KC and his ERA is below 3. I'd like for the walks to come down but the Opp BA is .222 and averages 10k per 9IP are good. Most of all his 1-2-3 performance tonight is big. Now he knows how easy it can be.

    Last Year

    I loooove Wimpy.
  20. Like I said, Inherited runners scored: May 1 Game 2: Inherited runners 6, 3 scored May 2: Inherited runners 2, 1 scored Our bullpen is good but it still lacks the ability to come in and close the door. I looked all over the internet but couldn't find how many blown saves we have. I saw on FSN that Marte is 2/5 in saves.

I like Kruk, Dibble and Gammons. Kruk and Dibble call it like they see it. Reynolds is nothing more than a quota.
  22. Rankings are for college football controversys.
  23. Greetings new guy. WCIU drives me nuts too. I'm in Springfield and don't get it down here. I will normally listen to ESPN 1000 over mlb.com, but there is like a 2 pitch delay so I'll watch their Gameday feature. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't care much for Rooney and Farmer. I guess they aren't mutch nerdier than any other announcer though.
  24. Agreed. You can't continue to fall behind in counts and walk batters and think you're gonna get away with it. Our pitching staff just got lucky in the begining of the season and faced slumping Yankees and TB.
  25. Our pitching has just plain gotten their butts kicked at US Cellular field. 5.52 ERA at home.
