How many times have you seen a platoon combine for all star stats? Seriously. I can't think of any. I can't stand managers that change players everyday based on who is pitching (with the exception to bad asses like Randy Johnson, Schilling, etc.). Throw them in the water and it's sink or swim. Regarding your comments on Rowand, I would never sit him. He is a major league baseball player and deserves to play everyday. His only weakness I've seen this year is hitting with runners in scoring position.

Platooning is gay. If you can't hit both lefties and righties you shouldn't be in the majors.

I think Cotts pitch selection is bad. Most the homeruns I've seen him give up are off his fastball, which is only like 91mph. He needs to get his change up bad and utilize his curveball more.
