QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2010 -> 10:38 AM) So here's my question of the day. If the Celtics take down the Cavs in this series, does Lebron leave? 60% sure that would be yes.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2010 -> 12:29 PM) Sen. John McCain...now less sane than Glenn Beck. Even More Less-Sane: Lieberman Proposes Taking Away Citizenship Of Suspected Terrorists How about we charge them with treason instead?

Bush had 9/11 which was pretty damn huge. So, it's really hard to compare to that. But if you look at the amount of issues that need to be addressed in such a short amount of time, he's had a lot on his plate.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 4, 2010 -> 10:18 AM) I personally find it silly to try to directly link any of those cases to climate change. Its just not possible to say that one particular event occurred, or was worsened, by climate change. It may have been, but we can't know that with anything approaching certainty. Now, if you want to say that increasing temperatures will create certain changes in the atmosphere, which raise the general risk level for certain types of storms in a given region... I could see that as at least believeable. agreed

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 4, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) Actually they have in various interviews. He was going to be a major character, but Ben kinda took over once he was introduced (and killed those "i'm really creepy don't trust me! scenes) ahh ok. I must have missed where they said that. I like the Ben character better anyways.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 4, 2010 -> 08:38 AM) I guess the guy that played Eko had a falling out with the show back in Season 3 and than was abruptly killed off. He won't be back. I have a feeling we will be seeing some of the others. I think Eko was supposed to have a much bigger role, but the producers will never admit to that

QUOTE (juddling @ May 4, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) Take this for what it's worth, but a couple sources are reporting ot have or have seen leaked pages of Lost's finale. Possible spoilers ahead if they aren't accurate they are certainly interesting there is a call sheet going around that is legit.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2010 -> 10:32 AM) Oh, and it seems, thanks to an obscure law that creates a general fund that oil companies can pay into to cover claims...after paying cleanup costs, BP will be on the hook for no more than $75 million in punitive liabilities. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 3, 2010 -> 10:19 AM) Just read some of that...you can easily tell what kind of a person wrote that I'm not saying it isn't biased. But it's a starting point to get some ideas. -

Anyone see Conan on 60 Minutes? He had a real honest moment where he said he fought depression for a while.

Arizona requires you to carry your papers
HuskyCaucasian replied to Balta1701's topic in The Filibuster
Apparently future White Sox firstbaseman AGon has said he will boycott the 2011 All-Star game in AZ. There may be a push to move the game to another state. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 01:04 PM) Story on npr said the administration included the offshore drilling in the proposed legislation purely as a deal to get some republican support. Boo. It's called a compromise. I hate is much as anyone. But sometimes you need to do it. MAYBE, just maybe this whole incident will change a few "drill, baby, drill" minds while they actually see the consequences of their actions.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 12:44 PM) Frankly, no, because of the hodgepodge of laws between different states regarding ID requirements and the Social Security/ID system that the banks have rigged in their favor. A national ID program just makes me feel icky. I dunno. As Tex said, the IDEA of having some sort of a way of authenticating worker status is totally fine. I dunno. A national card program gives me the creeps. -

QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) I actually would like to see better tools available to employers to confirm the legal right to work. This, combined with a guest worker program, would make my day. Couldn't there be a way to use state IDs/drivers licenses into this instead of a federal level id program?
