Proposal To Make Chicago A State Shows Divide In Illinois As a resident of the Cook County "Pan Handle", I wish we would break from Cook/Chicago, but that movement seems to have died. (Actually, I am thinking I should have posted this in The Filibuster, please move if needed)

I'm putting on my tinfoil hat here. CP3's trade was nixed by the league, he'll leave as a free agent and sign with the Lakers after the season. So either trade him and get players back, or let him walk for nothing. Could Stern be ACTIVELY trying to screw over the hornets so they can fold it? Just a thought.

I had to sit and think about this. I really never want to leave chicago. But, my wife and I have talked and if we were to ever move we'd want to be near family/friends, or to a place where we know they'd come and visit a lot. So, here is my list for places OTHER than chicago metro area. 1) Tampa Bay / Orlando, FL (lots of visitors, warm weather) 2) Iowa City/Cedar Rapids, IA (family, my wife is from Iowa) 3) Tomah, WI (family, wife's uncle loves there) Beyond those three, we really have no ambitions to move anywhere else.

Is it age discrimination to say someone's hours were cut in half because "they'll be retiring in 2 years anyways?"

Anyone have good examples of recommendation letters? I was able to get two of my co-workers to agree to write letters of recommendation for me for a position I am applying for. Ona side note: It's nice to have co-workers who are willing to write recommendation letters because they know I am being screwed over by my boss.
