  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 11:18 AM) I somehow got through Transformers 1 although I was barely awake while watching and I never saw #2. So how is Megatron handled in the films? Does he turn into a handgun like in the original cartoon? He's an airplane type of thing.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 08:10 AM) So i find it funny that it is now "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", which makes no sense whatsoever. "Rise of the Fallen" didnt make sense other than it was a reference to Megatron coming back, but ultimately it had another meaning. Movie titles are movie titles, it's the content that matters.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) It embarrasses me to no end that she keeps getting called an Iowa native. If she's going to keep parading that fact around - most adult Iowans know that he's from Winterset, or would at least be able to tell you that he's not from Waterloo. My wife was born and raise din Iowa (near Iowa City). I read the quote to her and she immediately said "he's not from Waterloo"
  4. Notable quotes about verdict “What happened?” — Blagojevich to defense attorney Sheldon Sorosky after finding out he was found guilty on 17 of 20 corruption charges. “He was personable. It made it hard to separate that from what we actually had to do as jurors.” —Juror 103 “The problem was with some of his explanations. It reminded me of a little kid who gets his hand caught in a cookie jar. He says, ‘Mommy I wasn’t taking the cookies. I was just trying to protect them and to count them.’” — Richard Kling, professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law who watched much of the trial, on Blagojevich’s testimony.

  6. @joshtpm - BLAGOJEVICH JURY REACHES UNANIMOUS VERDICT ON 18 OF 20 COUNTS
  7. McCourt rips Selig - "He's turned his back on the Dodgers, treated us differently, and forced us to the point we find ourselves in today," McCourt said in a statement. "I simply cannot allow the commissioner to knowingly and intentionally be in a position to expose the Dodgers to financial risk any longer. It is my hope that the Chapter 11 process will create a fair and constructive environment to get done what we couldn't achieve with the commissioner directly." There's a LOT of reasons to rip Uncle Bud, but this is not one of them.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) Looks good, that map works out better than I thought it would. I'm sure if Detroit gets moved instead of Columbus, they would prefer the Canadian division, but screw them, Detroit sucks. I think that map would look even better if Florida & Tampa Bay were just moved to Quebec, Hamilton, Seattle, KC or wherever far up north from Florida. I'm largely hockey ignorant... how is hockey going in Tampa and Miami? I know Phoenix is possibly a dead team walking (I believe there was a movement to move them BACK to Winnipeg before the Thrashers jumped in). I could see them moving int he next few years too.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 10:05 AM) I would imagine something like this, where the Canadian teams are together, as are the Southern teams. Then you just kind of mix & match all the NE teams Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo, Boston, Rangers, Islanders, New Jersey Florida, Tampa Bay, Carolina, Washington, Detroit/Columbus, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh
  10. The teams in the Mountain and Pacific time zone will be one in division. All of the central time zone teams plus either Detroit or Columbus will be in the other western division. How would they break up the eastern time zone teams (minus Detroit or Columbus)?
  11. Looks like the Dodgers are on the verge of not meeting payroll. If this happens, MLB has the option to take the club from McCourt. I have no doubt that McCourt will lawyer up if MLB tries to do this.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 04:01 PM) Whoa, they might swap the 10th/Salmons to SA for Parker and Jefferson. where'd you see that?
  13. As I was thinking it Bores was saying it, all three of those teams should be contracted.
  14. Thanks to Bernsie for mentioning this: Worst Trophy Ever
  15. So, i think this is it.... Bucks Get: Stephen Jackson Shaun Livingston Beno Udrih #9 #19 Charlotte Gets: #7 (Sac.) Corey Maggette Sac Gets: #10 John Salmons
  16. Various Tweets: Source confirms #Bucks have deal in place to acquire No. 7 from Sacramento in trade that also includes Charlotte. Details coming soon. The Bucks get Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston, sources say. Charlotte gets the 7th pick and Corey Maggette. Milwaukee's 10th overall pick goes to the Kings, source says. Hearing Bobcats-Bucks-Kings deal includes Bucks get Beno Udrih and the No. 9 and 19 picks Bobcats. The Bobcats get No. 7 pick from Sac. & Maggette. Kings will get John Salmons and the No. 10 pick. Bucks will also get Stephen Jackson
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Milwaukee has a three-way deal with Charlotte and Sacramento, sources say. I love a good threeway

  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) I just dont think Ellis for Noah is a great return on investment. It's a great return if it's Ellis and Howard.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) Now that I think about, what I just posted made no sense. If a trade like that were to happen, the Bulls would definitely get Ellis. Odom goes to GSW to play the 3. The problem is that the Bulls were reluctant to move Noah for Carmello before, why change that stance for Monta Ellis? They playoffs showed that you didnt NEED Noah, but you NEED a second scorer.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) There's a GSW, Lakers, Bulls trade rumor flying around. It would involve Noah, Odom, Ellis, and some draft picks. I don't know anymore specifics, but what might have been discussed is the Bulls getting Odom and the draft pick, which they can trade for a SG. Question is, who the hell plays C? Howard (a man can dream, cant he?)
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) There's a GSW, Lakers, Bulls trade rumor flying around. It would involve Noah, Odom, Ellis, and some draft picks. Monta Ellis to the Bulls?
