QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Boers and Bernstein have their "guys" everywhere that know all the behind the scenes dirt and are never ever wrong, so it's gotta be true. They NEVER said rehab, it was just a conclusion I made, based on the inferences, tone of voice, and Kane's history.

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) Bogdanovic is a very good shooter. Although he might want to jump onto an NBA team right away. I've heard that he's a pretty clutch offensive player, but is pretty poor defensively. So he's Korver? -
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) The last thing that they want is Captain Planet showing up. HEART!

Can we route the parade through Schaumburg?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 03:43 PM) That might have been the whole point. We haven't seen pictures of him constantly partying, so perhaps he is dedicating himself to his craft this offseason. No, that wasnt the impression i was getting from him. He was talking about hearing rumors, and that he has calls out to people. My gut says he's in rehab.

Bernstein just hinted at something about Patrick Kane, saying "you havent seen him this off-season" and that "there are rumors" What's the rumors?

Thanks. It was a rather crazy day. lol I wont take the first job if offered, just not what I thought it would be. Second is a little more compelling. third, I'd seriously consider, it would probably be a minor step down in pay but It's almost exactly what I am doing now and I love what I do.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 07:56 AM) The F***? Cubs suck, Sox suck, and it's a midweek night game.

I had an interview in Iowa yesterday. I thought everything went very well. I felt comfortable and relaxed. And, I passed the the tests they put me through. After the interview, I stopped by my in-laws to pick up my stuff before heading home. When I pulled into the drive way, I got a phone call from another company who wanted to interview me next week. I explain that I was already in town to "visit family" and they agreed to do the interview as soon as I could drive over. how about that for luck, huh?? That interview went well too. As I was getting into my car, I had a voicemail from ANOTHER Iowa job that wanted to do a quick phone interview to go over my resume. Seriously, 3 interviews in one day, when I only had one planned. Kinda cool actually. It was interesting to see a few common questions that ran through all of the interviews. The most interesting question: "How would you explain an database to a 5 year old?"

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 09:44 PM) indeed kids do go higher and it is scary. My daughter flirted with 106 when she was 2 and we were on a vacation. The scariest moment I ever had was she was not even a year old, and she slept through the night in her crib... which she NEVER did. I went in to check on her and she was smoking hot. Her temp was 105. Freaked the hell out of me. It ends up she had Hand-foot-mouth disease. She had a temp for 4 days.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Wow. 104 is close to the danger zone. She's been that way her entire life. It freaked me out when she was a baby. But, we've found out that Motrin drive the temp down pretty quickly to an acceptable level (100-102)

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 08:52 AM) One of the first of many offers I'm sure; That may be the offer, but why would Howard EVER want to play for GS? -
Every time my oldest daughter gets sick, her tempurature shoots right up to 104. that is very frustrating.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) I need a quick work of advice. Earlier this year I applied for a job that I was VERY VERY interested in. I got to the phase where they contacted my references (one of my references was my supervisor which, as I said in another post, I have since learned actually had no clue what i do). Ultimately, I was not interviewed for the job. I recently logged into the companies job's site and it is listed as "cancelled", which means they chose to not fill the position at this time and they might reopen it in the future. Just a follow up, I contacted the person and she wrote me back this morning. She said there were very few qualified applicants for the position and the person they offered the job too declined. They will be redefining the position a little and reposting it in a 4-6 months. I'll be ready with a buffed up resume and a better list of references which does NOT include my boss.

Sean Penn clearly has NO idea what is going on down there.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 06:25 PM) Thanks! That was a year ago and yes the NW is on my list. iamshack recently interviewed with an organization in Portland. Perhaps you had us confused. I'm pretty sure I am remembering you. lol Either way, good luck! I'm hoping to head the exact opposite direction (SE) lol.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 05:29 PM) On my way back to Chicago after a successful interview in Seattle for a major company. Hopefully I make the final cut of interviews. Good luck! Didnt you have an interview in Portland a while back? Are you purposely targeting the NW or is that just a coincidence?

Woo hoo!!! I have my first job interview scheduled for next Tuesday! It's in Iowa, so I'll need to make a round trip drive that day, but that's ok. I honestly dont know if I would take the job if offered, but I think going through the process would be very beneficial to me. Oh crap, I need to buy a suit. lol

Continuation of the previous thread.... QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) Under the current rules, the Bulls have 3 players under contract after 2012: Boozer, Deng, and Noah. Problem is, that alone is $41 million against the cap. In addition, the Bulls have a 2013 option on Taj Gibson they'd be likely to pick up, and there's this point guard that they need to extend. But if they traded for Howard, wouldnt that change the equation? I dont know if Orlando wants Boozer, Deng, or Noah. But one or two of them would match salaries.
