Jenks' main issue has been his inability to control his offspeed stuff. His curve hasn't been thrown for a strike successfully since late 2005. He didn't even have it in the playoffs. Guys know that he can't get that curve over, so they sit on the fastball. 85, 95, 105... doesn't matter if they know it's coming.

It's not totally the same, but this reminds me of the "BMAC sucks" threads of middle 2005. Haeger is by no means on par with BMAC, IMO. But, he can still be a major league starter someday. He's still got a few years to learn. He's what.. 22?

One of the best "knuckleball" guys ever IMO was Tom Candiotti. He could throw a 94 mph fastball and then come back with a knuckle that would spin you into the ground.
