QUOTE (Boogua @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) Cleveland is the favorite?... You're high I want to see how GS replenishes their roster. They basically have no C and their top bench guy is 32 with a bum back. I also see Cleveland making a reactionary move to counter what's just transpired. I will say this much. LeBron is the undisputed GOAT if he beats THIS Warriors team in the finals in '17. -

Jesus christ it's just hit me. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant are on the same team. Three guys capable of going for 40+ on any night and a triple double machine. -

Durant went full blown BETA. He's a sackless b****. And the thing for me is I still think Cleveland is the favorite. Durant always shrinks when LeBron is the opponent, regular season or finals. -

Clippers sign 36-year old Jamal Crawford 3/42. Worst signing of the offseason so far. Just awful. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 3, 2016 -> 03:43 AM) I hate to let everybody in on a secret but right now Sale is MVP of the league. He's 14-2 and the Sox are .500. WIthout him the Sox are total crap. That's the definition of most VALUABLE player, folks. He is the difference between average team and horses***. I've got a secret. Sale is not even the clear cy favorite let alone the mvp. That would be Jose Altuve (Trout is the best player but angels suck) if the season ended today.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 06:26 PM) Horford to Boston and Durant had long meeting with Celtics where Tom Brady was involved. I hope KD lands there. East needs beefing up. I just read on espn that the Celtics can swap first round picks with the Nets next year. Unbelievable. -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 30, 2016 -> 11:56 AM) Noah won a DPOY. There is no season of his career in which he was the best defensive player in the NBA. He has the award though. And he deserved it. Roy Hibbert was the early/heavy favorite but forgot how to basketball after the all-star break. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 09:08 AM) Probably too depressed to post with Bryant becoming a national cultural icon on par with Sandberg in 1984. Yeah, Mike Trout isn't even this and he's the best player baseball has seen in half a century.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 07:55 AM) It's a very good trade, but we'll see how it goes against GS. Ibaka was key because they could stay big. Draymond really struggled and now they have to guard him with a wing player. Oladipo is athletic, but not nearly as long as Ibaka. Their offense should be more diverse, but they still have 3 non-shooters in that lineup. Roberson needs to literally take 1000 3-pointers a day this offseason. Oladipo shot almost 35% on 4 attempts per game from 3 last year. So he's hardly a liability out there. -

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Marco Bellinelli got a 22nd 1st round pick. Taj should have gotten at least that. This is a very good point. God the Bulls are so sorry. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 01:46 AM) Who did the Thunder get for Ibaka again? Why would OKC be the favorites over the Warriors? If Golden State can improve on the interior, they'll be as strong as ever. Paired with adding an outsider shooter in Nowitzki motivated by one last run at a 2nd ring. If/when that happens, we'll talk. Adams Durant Roberson Oladipo Westbrook That's GOAT level length and athleticism. -

And Butler is still a Bull. What a shock. And the Thunder are now the western conference favorites once Durant resigns. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 12:48 PM) Kind of naturally happens that way when you don't choose to be a fan of whoever is one of the front running teams just because its convenient to watch a winner every year. Stop hurting my feelings. I don't like it. -

Man, you guys are so setting yourselves up for disappointment with these Butler trade scenarios. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 10:53 AM) Jordan wins GOAT 1) Much better history of clutch shots, starting with 1982 at UNC...for every memorable game-winning LeBron shot, there are 3-4 iconic ones for Jordan Hyperbole. But yeah, I'd go with Jordan over LeBron in the last two minutes. I don't understand any of this DPOY voting is different now than it was in Jordan's time. It was actually pretty lazy for the most part. X guard gets a lot of steals so he was a great defensive player or X center blocks a lot of shots so he was a great defensive player. The standard for what truly makes a great defensive player is much higher now. And MJ, even at his peak, can't touch LeBron's defensive versatility. Sorry. lol@gift titles. please. he quite literally carried those Heat teams. Wade was often hobbling and inconsistent and don't even get me started on Bosh. The Cavs? Yes. The Celtics? They swept him twice rather easily in '86 and '87. The Pistons? The same Pistons that knocked him out three straight years? Competition is subjective. Personally, as everybody knows, I think it's better today. But nobody can question the fact that modern offensive and defensive schemes are better than they were during Jordan's time. Scouting is better. Technology is better. Analytics are more detailed and advanced, etc.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 12:26 AM) No empirical evidence supports this claim. The NBA is bigger than it has ever been and the talent level is unreal Nonsense. The nba peaked 30 (or if you believe Oscar Robertson 50) years ago. Everybody knows this.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 12:30 AM) Curry wasn't 100% in terms of lateral quickness, Iguodala wasn't quite himself, they were without Bogut, and the NBA handed them a lifeline when they suspended Draymond Green for Game 5. That said, even though he didn't have the defining game-winning shot, the series was all about LeBron's overall dominance, with Kyrie Irving playing the Pippen to his Jordan. They didn't have Kyrie after game 1 and Kevin for the entire series last year. Draymond put himself in that position and has nobody to blame but himself, Cavs earned it.

Man, I'm so happy for LeBron. 5 finals losses would've been tragic. This win almost (ALMOST) makes up for the 2011 choke. And as good as the Warriors still are, the antidote for beating them has clearly been established. It looked like they were going to go on a legit 3-4 year run for a while there.
-
Alright, I forgot about Kareem's one Bucks title. Still, LeBron is clearly #2. And he's still got a good 3-4 years before the real decline starts.
-
Kareem doesn't win dick without Magic. MJ has the only case.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 10:46 PM) That block. But did he go for 40/10/10? No? Failure.
