  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) As Mychal (Thompson) paces back and forth in his family room, LeBron is on his mind now. To Klay's father, LeBron is something we've never seen in basketball, a forward built like a linebacker with the skills of a point guard. Mychal says James has bullied his way onto his "second NBA Mount Rushmore." The first, he says, includes Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan. The second is made up of LeBron, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson and Jerry West. espn.com
  2. I can now say for the first time that I am officially a "witness."
  3. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Lebron is a goddamn freak. ?
  4. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) I'm fine with b****ing about bad things that have already happened, even to a hyperbolic level. I know I do it. But I really hate the predictive pessimism. If you're so certain this game is screwed, why don't you go do something else? It's good weather in Cleveland, it's good weather here in Texas. Are you under hurricane watch wherever you live? For the love of God, go do something you enjoy! You didn't know that soxfest is a bot?
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 17, 2016 -> 10:47 AM) One more rant :WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE SUCH A BIG f***ING DEAL ABOUT LEBRON'S FINALS RECORD?! Does it really matter what round you lose in? Would we really feel better about LeBron if he choked in the 2nd round a few times? You still don't have a ring either way, so who gives a f***. Chris Paul is a first ballot HOFer and he's never even been in the Finals, so stop b****ing about LeBron losing to good teams. 2011 definitely should be held against him. That was a choke. Flat out. they had no business losing to that Dallas team. Other than that, yes, I agree.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 17, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) The expectations for LeBron are absurd. He's supposed to play 45 MPG, carry their offense AND defense for 100 games a year and never have an off game regardless of how many defenders are shading in his direction. It's not like he's the only freak athlete out there either, he's routinely been guarded by strong 6'7" guys with absurd reach (Kawhi, George, Iggy, ect). If we held even someone like Kobe to the same standards, he would look a lot more sketchy. The difference is he got enough help to still get a ring when he goes 7-27 in a game 7. Old heads, Jordan jockers, LeBron haters, etc, don't or refuse to see it. Elimination of illegal defense has made iso scoring tougher than it ever was in the 80's and 90's. You don't have to double to actually double. And that's not even getting into (which you did) all the cyborg athletes at every position in today's game.
  7. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 17, 2016 -> 09:18 AM) I don't care about who Lebron is as a person, i'm going by what I see on the court. I see a whiny b**** 99% of the time. A guy with the GOAT physical talent, but a guy with the mental fortitude of my 4 year old son. Lebron should average 40, 10 and 10 every night. But he doesn't.
  8. And no way in hell Curry gets suspended. Even a casual fan, let alone a hardcore fan, wouldn't want to ever see that. This is game 7.
  9. LeBron's 1 win away from career completion. Win a title for Cleveland and he could pretty much retire as possible co-GOAT or at worst top 3 of all-time.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 09:26 PM) Not really. I just want to watch basketball and this continues to not feel like basketball. I don't find it fun watching a known outcome and a bunch of threes. So you prefer that the league not utilize the most efficient shot in basketball outside of dunks/layups because it's not what you grew up with? The game has never been more aesthetically pleasing/entertaining than it is now.
  11. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 12:50 AM) You haven't been posting lately much. Darn. yeah, i'm just nba the last few years. i still love baseball. the sox just bore me to death. i don't even want to post about them anymore. but greg was trollin. so i had to say something.
  12. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 12:38 AM) Monkey turd? Jesus man... If I find something offensive you're really taking insults to a higher level. oh give me a break. i'm black. lol. that wasn't anything racial. monkey s***? hippo s***? racoon s***? whatever. he is a terrible baseball player at this point of his career. greg actin' like he was performing and nobody else was. lol.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 13, 2016 -> 12:17 AM) I bet deep down Rollins was glad to get released. Had to be the worst experience of his baseball career I'd think playing with this woe-begone team. This has to be one of the worst hitting team in Sox history. It's like the 60s when the mound was lower. lol. omg, dude. stop. Jimmy Rollins was/is monkey turd. He simply can't play the game of baseball anymore.
  14. And i'm done with old heads and 35+ year old fans complaining about how soft the league is. Draymond Green is exactly what you guys should want. Rodman and Laimbeer were dirty as f***. Miller and Stockton as well. Yet everybody is b****ing about how dirty Green is. Don't tell me Rodman or Miller never got somebody in the nuts.
  15. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 12, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) guess the NBA wants more games BREAKING: Draymond Green has been assessed Flagrant Foul 1 for actions in Game 4 & will be suspended for Game 5. They'll still win game 5 by double digits.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:45 PM) They have the same issues as the Thunder had with lack of depth and a tendency to become to isolation driven but they don't have the overall length and athleticism that the Thunder had on D. It just baffles me how we've gone from the Jordan era to the Kobe/T-mac/Iverson/etc era where iso ball was all the rage to the current era where iso ball is now the least efficient and most frowned upon type of offense there is.
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:29 PM) 2-6 in the finals... GOAT 2-5
  18. Series is over. GS is simply a terrible matchup for Cleveland. The Cavs have exactly one two-way player in LeBron. The Warriors have about six.
  19. Warriors bench has been severely underrated all year. Shaun Livingston was the 4th pick in his draft class for a reason (legit Penny comp) and, of course, was derailed by one of the more horrific, and I MEAN f***ING HORRIFIC, knee injuries you'll ever see in life. Barbosa is a former 6th man of the year. Iguodala is ELITE defensively and above average offensively, especially his passing. Ezeli is one of the better backup C's in the game. They're just loaded. Not overreacting here. Cavs MUST win game 2. No way they're beating GS 4 of 5.
  20. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 12:05 PM) I've come around to liking LeBron again since he went back to Cleveland. I'm with J4L, he deserves better than a 2-5 Finals record. He had no chance that first year in 2007. 2011 was on him. 2014 everybody around him brokedown, sucked, etc. And then last year he was trying to win with Matthew Dellavedova as his #2 option. Now he's going up against 73 wins. 2-5 is 2-5 if it happens. Just doesn't seem fair to me. No matter how you feel about him.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 01:06 AM) It has nothing to do with Cleveland for me. I just don't like LeBron. #salty4everover2010 At least you're honest.
  22. I'm pulling for LeBron because I just don't want to see him drop to 2-5 in the finals. Just doesn't seem right that a GOAT talent should have 5 finals losses on his resume, especially since only 1 of the previous 4 was on him.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Can't believe I was wrong. I thought it was OKC's turn this year. When Durant single handedly cut it to four with 1:30 left I thought they had 'em right where they wanted 'em. I will say this: You never know what the future may hold. I would think IF Durant stays in OKC (which he probably will) and he and Westy stay healthy, they probably could have a regular season like GS had this year and run through the playoffs to claim the title. SAT is done, over the hill. Golden State I guess will stick around for a while but an injury to Curry and it's over. Most of the other West teams are on the decline. Portland is not good enough. Clips are not good enough. Houston blows. If OKC can stay healthy, they got to be favorites next year, right? The only way OKC might not run away with it next year is if Durant is fed up with trying to claim a ring with OKC after the Game Six choke job and leaves. It was right there for them and they couldn't win Game Six at home. I guess there's a chance Durant could leave; I'd say 90 percent odds he stays, mainly because they'll probably be favored to win it next year. If I were them I'd trade Ibaka and go with Adams/Kanter. Either acquire a guy "like" Iguodala who can play defense or another reliable three-point bombsman. OKC's future is weird to project. It's not like they haven't been there before. If this doesn't devastate them mentally they could be next year's unbeatable team. If this does devastate them, they might be a team like this year's Bulls. Pathetic unachiever. p.s. At least if you bet the house on OKC you would have won. They covered, didn't they? Wtf did I jus read?
  24. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 30, 2016 -> 10:30 PM) So Westbrook and Durant weren't good enough overall tonight but for all the talk of needing to trust their teammates they did that tonight and their teammates completely s*** the bed. On almost all uncontested layups and 3s Waiters, Roberson and Adams were a combined 8-31. They lost the series two nights ago. This is all on Durant/Westbrook.
  25. I'm done now. No predictions. LeBron's legacy vs the Warrior's legacy. Can't wait.
