Mizzou's got nothing to be ashamed of. They gave arguably the best team in one of the deepest conferences in D1 history a run for their money. I figured this would be the game UConn would really miss Jerome Dyson. Then Kemba Walker has his best game of the season. You just can't predict things like that. Again, that's what makes the tourney so special.

And can we please put toegate to rest? It's obviously not bothering Lawson one bit and probably was nothing much to get excited about from the start. But it made for 'exciting' theatre.

It's irrelevant now, and who knows how legitimate the possibilities of us acquiring any of these guys really was, but don't players like Willy Taveras, Chone Figgins and Bobby Abreu (Abreu would've at least addressed the need for a quality leadoff hitter) look a lot more appealing now? This is what I was talking about a couple months ago. Yeah, there was no 'ideal' guy out there (Grady Sizemore), but there were guys out there better, and in some cases considerably better, than the crap that we're going into the season with and they got ripped to shreds.

Louisville's depth is amazing. Pitino can play 5 reserves at once and not lose much at all.
