  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 02:48 PM) Yeah, he killed Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. Those guys might have turned out OK. Those two were 18-year olds coming out? There's a reason Washington said adios to MJ after he was done playing.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 09:07 AM) Jordan would have wrecked a young Tracy McGrady. He didnt have time for a learning curve Yup. I don't want Michael, then or now, near any young player/s. If people don't think he played at least some role into what Kwame Brown turned into they cray cray.
  3. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 01:39 PM) Jerry Krause has passed away. 77 years old. Shocking. I read this as Jerry Reinsdorf and almost s*** myself. Sad news. He had been in questionable health for a while IIRC. Amazing that he made it as long as he did. I don't think there will ever be a consensus on what kinda GM Krause was. But the Pippen/Grant additions in the summer of '87 to this day is one of the great heists in NBA history.
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 16, 2017 -> 10:00 AM) https://theathletic.com/36841/2017/03/16/sh...st-the-process/ That's excellent about the Bulls. They are just so behind the times in every area. Pretty scathing look at the ineptitude of Bulls front office. Dude, it's a f***ing paysite.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 09:42 AM) I will say I need to agree with a previous poster despite the way he posted it. Right now we're talking about a roster "revving up" that consists of... - a great talent yet to play in an NBA game in Ben Simmons - a great talent who's played 31 of a possilble 246 games in Joel Embiid. This is way worse than Greg Oden's track record was at the same time - Dario Saric There's a ton of work to be done here still. In your scenario, there actually isn't a ton of work. A healthy Embiid (yes, something we might not ever see) alone makes them a playoff team. It's all about filling out the roster with roleplayers at that point. My scenario doesn't include Embiid. And they're still gonna be great if they don't f*** up like they did taking Okafor over Unicorn.
  6. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 12:20 AM) So you're not even gonna wait for Embiid to stay healthy to spout your hyperbole? Nope. Embiid is a league-altering, game-changing, wildcard at this point. Even without him you have Simmons, Saric, and Covington. Trade that piece of s*** Okafor for whatever. They've got their pick and potentially the Lakers pick this summer. They're going to be a beast. Sam Hinke is a f***ing Alpha.
  7. Also, Dario Saric can play. I mean REALLY play. He's had a better rookie year than Parker and Ginobili. Sam Hinke is a genius who got screwed. The Sixers will be running the eastern conference by 2019.
  8. Cavs are in some serious trouble if their defense don't improve. They're 22nd and falling in defensive efficiency this year.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 12, 2017 -> 02:49 PM) This Bulls team is complete trash. Why shouldn't we have traded Butler for the two Nets pick if that was actually on the table again? He's been pretty mediocre since the break. Still a fantastic two-way player. There's just too many guys in the league that's better than him or will be better than him. I'm just hoping if it was offered (the two nets picks) that we never find out about it. I don't want to go to jail for hurting someone.
  10. Jusuf Nurkic blowing up since the trade to Portland. #bullsscouting
  11. Also, would anybody complain if Kawhi Leonard won his third straight DPOY and the MVP this year?
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2017 -> 10:15 PM) Next up: Scola, Sullinger, or Sanders? Bad, REALLY BAD and hasn't played since '15. Can they still sign guys and they still be eligible for the playoffs?
  13. QUOTE (Real @ Mar 4, 2017 -> 10:50 PM) this, not sure why people can't just accept this s***, they're just setting themselves up for a huge let down Sox will be in the bottom 5 this year in the whole league IMO And that's a good thing. '18 class is stacked.
  14. Cavs now 4-20 without LeBron since he came back.
  15. Heard Zaza Pachilia (or however you spell it) is getting death threats for falling into KDs knee.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 10:45 AM) Total bummer if Durant is out that long. Seems like about a month. He'll be re-evaluated in a month. Big difference.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 07:21 AM) This is where I have to ask whether being an iron man counts for anything? Of course it does. Best ability is availability. How many games has LeBron missed in his career because he was legitimately hurt? 5? Maybe 10? There's never been anyone like him and more than likely never will be anyone like him from a durability standpoint.
  18. Congrats on your 4th ring, LeBron. It's going to come with a billion asterisks. But congrats, I guess.
  19. Rose is just a terrible player at this point. He's no longer starter caliber and hasn't been for a while.
  20. Embiid out indefinitely. He's not gonna make it. Damn shame. Losing Oden was bad enough but this guy has personality for days. Dario Saric will go down as one of the worst ROY winners in history. E: Kyle Lowry done for at least the regular season. Wrist surgery. LeBron's road just got a lot easier.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 01:30 PM) He keeps his job by generating attention at players expense. It is the same stuff that just happened with the explosion over Javele McGee. If he didn't generate attention, they would find someone else who did. NBA players are under no obligation to let critics piss down their legs and tell them it is raining with no blow back. GMAB. All Charles said was that you already have two all-stars, a former 6th man of the year, and quality roleplayers up and down the roster and you're publicly demanding more help? OMG the horror. The Javele comparison is absolutely terrible.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 12:53 PM) LeBron isn't stupid. He recognizes that the team he has isn't going to beat the Warriors with Kevin Durant. Of course he wants more. But so does the rest of the NBA. Why do you think that the best team in the history of the NBA blew away cap spaces and players to make room for Kevin Durant? Every body is looking for more. Singling out James for wanting more is silly, especially since even now the Warriors are adding players too. Everybody didn't go on multiple rants to the media about needing more help. Everybody didn't bring up Charles Barkley's personal life because they didn't like being called out. Kyle Korver has hit an insane 40 of his last 64 3-point attempts. They got him for free. They're legit 12 deep with 2 legitimate all-stars as his 2nd and 3rd options. No excuses.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 12:31 PM) J4L, regardless of what Lebron begged for/asked for/wanted, these guys are trash. You are acting like he added DWill and Bogut in their primes I thought Richard Jefferson was trash last year and he was their starting PF the last 5 games of the finals. I can think of a lot worse as far as backups go than Williams and Bogut. They're not being asked to start.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 12:19 PM) They added a bunch of recycled crap. None of that adds up to Durant. The idea that it does it just silly. This is the NBA, not the NFL. You can't make up for stars with depth, that is just silly. The only part that I can really appreciate is that LeBron is sore that someone out recruited him after being the guy who really got the idea of team superstar going in the NBA. Obviously LeBron disagrees with you. You think he demanded more help to take down Toronto or Boston? Or are you saying he's slow (I won't use the R word) and wanted Cleveland to acquire Anthony Davis?
