  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 9, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) I am the LAST person you should be telling that to. I tell this same thing to alot of different people. We all have no idea how long this whole thing is going to last, so lets all enjoy it now. Yeah, I wasn't talking to you specifically. Just Sox fans in general.
  2. And The Royals knock of the Indians once again. They're now 4-1 against them this year.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 9, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) I love being a Sox fan right now. There is nothing better. Enjoy it. That's all I have to say. I rememeber when the Bulls were winning title after title. I didn't apperciate it as much as I should've. I guess part of that is because I was a teenager at the time. Anyway, I just hope Sox fans soak it up and cherish this amazing run we're on right now. It's not gonna last forever.
  4. Great all-around game this night. That was the best Freddy's looked since the World Series clincher. I'm running out of adjectives to describe Jim Thome. It's to the point now that time almost stops for me when he's at the plate. You get that feeling that you're about to see something special.
  5. I never thought the Indians pitching would be this bad.
  6. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 9, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) Flubbs shooting for loss number 8 in a row, already down 2-1 early against Frisco. Make that 3-1. But they're still popular. Make that 6-1.
  7. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 9, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) World Series Rings. Crede-1 Ventura-0 To me, he will always be remembered for that. Ventura was still a considerably better player.
  8. It's getting uglier and uglier for those bums. They're already down 6-1 in the 4th with Cy-Maddux on the mound. Make that 7-1.
  9. The Nets bent the Heat over pretty good in game 1.
  10. And the Royals knock off the Indians 4-3. I believe they're 3-1 against the Tribe this year.
  11. Twins lose. Indians trailing the Royals 4-2 in the 7th.
  12. QUOTE(thedoctor @ May 8, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) what they hell are they protesting? this team has sucked satan's ass for the better part of the past century, and they decide to protest now? lmfao. I think the Sox winning it all last year was the final blow for them.
  13. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:29 PM) The only two options were redding and haeger... given the choice, who would you rather watch pitch? Who has more potential? Haeger is the most major league ready out of anyone in the system and is leading the international league in era. I am pretty excited for his start(s) too. He at least has potential to have an impact his first time seeing the league... over redding who is just disgusting to watch. The way i see it... if redding pitches we are losing. If haeger pitches we will likely lose but we have the chance to watch a home grown knuckle ball pitcher who is better than redding's piece of s*** self. Qwerty being positive?
  14. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:25 PM) Ok, I just can't resist...why? Are we going for moral victories here? Or, maybe where wins and losses don't count like little league? Addy, I realize you're upset, but this isn't the kiss of death to our season. Calm down, buddy.
  15. Well, if it makes anybody feel better, here are the AL offensive rankings for the Angels: Average=11th Home Runs=11th Runs=12th So atleast Haeger won't be going up against an offensive juggernaut. Just try not to let that Vlad guy beat you.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) If he had to miss more than a couple, I'm pretty damn happy with Brandon getting to throw a full few games. I'm not. Our bullpen is suspect enough right now.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) If Contreras was going to be out for more than 2 starts, I think they'd immediately be getting BMac ready to go back into a starting role, simply because he showed he could swing it last year. But since they think it'll be a short stint, they're gonna run with Charlie, so that BMac doesn't throw off his routine. At least, that's the only thing that makes sense to me. That sounds about right. Let's just pray it's only a couple starts he misses.
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) I dont have one. Im just arguing with you because you brought the Cubs into the conversation LOL. Fair enough.
  19. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) wow... theres like fifty guys who owe you an apology. Congrats on breaking the story... If thats your first story broken, you now have one more than Bruce Levine I'm the only one that's apologized to him. He could've gave us all a little more info at the time. But he was right.
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) Nobody in their right mind thought Contreras was going to end up as good as he was since the All star break. Now we count on it. Huh? I don't get your point. Mine was that you can't compare losing Contreras to losing El Duque. Now what's yours?
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 8, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) I understood just fine, dont you worry about that. It happened last year with El Duque as well, and the sox got along just fine. Nobody in their right mind thought Duque would go a full season without landing on the DL atleast once. That's not a good comparison.
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 8, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Yeah, you would think this indicated a 3 year trend or something. I need to go find a Cub fan to sympathize with..... How hard was it to understand what I said? It's the Cubs that always have the pitching injuries. I'm sure it makes them feel good to see us have one for a change. That's all I meant.
  23. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 8, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) We have crippling pitching injuries all the time? Who knew. I meant from their point of view.
  24. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 8, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) about....? That they're not the only team in town to have crippling pitching injuries all the time.
  25. I know Cubs fans have to feel pretty good right now.
