Aramis Ramirez -- $42 million well spent!
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 25, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Aramis Ramirez -- 4 years, $42 million contract. After tonight's 0 for 4 effort, Aramis Ramirez is now batting .226 with 7 homers and 18 RBI's. This guy makes Jermaine Dye look like a steal. But Jim Hendry was a genius for getting this guy for next to nothing.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) If we go .500 (58-58) the rest of the season, we win 90 games.

- Trade Revisited
I'll be seriously pissed if we trade B-mac. You don't trade potential elite pitchers for 3rd baseman, no matter how good.- Best yet to come for White Sox ace Garland
Garland didn't have anything close to his best stuff last night and he only gave up 3 runs in 7 innings to a very good hitting Angels team. I'd call him and ace right now.- Who would you rather have up
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 07:16 AM) Why the hell is he too good to turn it around? He has a career 4.69 ERA and he's a one-pitch pitcher. Mike Jackson was also good at one point. I was referring to his seasons in where he pitched 60 or more innings. He's been pretty good. I think he'll turn it around.- A good offseason assessment of the NFC North
I liked the piece on the Bears. I honestly believe if this team is relatively healthy it can win 9 or 10 games.- Joe Crede
Crede is indeed frustrating. It's easy to say we should trade him. But how many times did we want Garland out of here? I'm not saying Crede will all of a sudden figure it out and live up to his talent, but if we do trade him, it better be for a SIGNIFICANT upgrade at 3rd base.- Who would you rather have up
I picked Vizcaino. I know he sucks right now. I still think he's gonna turn it around. He's too good to suck like this all year.- Holy Shit
Who gives a s*** about aces? Do we have a good starting staff? You better believe it. The Angels didn't have an ace in 02. The Marlins didn't have an ace in 03. You don't have to have an ace to get to the post-season and win. You have to have a good to great starting staff and bullpen.- Another Closer Target
QUOTE(Pastime @ May 23, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) I'd be more interested in getting a consistent SS that isn't as up-and-down as a rollercoaster (with HUGE slumps every season), or maybe picking up a 3B who can have more than just one good month each year. But Crede and Uribe are excellent defensively.- Another Closer Target
I'm fine with Hermanson. Is he as good as Lidge or Wagner? No. But the difference certainly is not worth having to give up atleast 2 of Mcarthy and Anderson or Sweeney. As far as another bat goes? We've got to wait and see how Frank does. If he does struggle, I have faith that Kenny will do something. I personally believe Frank will be absolutely fine when he gets back.- Viz is a bum
I'm gonna be patient and have faith in Vizcaino. He's too talented and has too good an arm to be this bad all season. He'll turn it around.- Scrubs bragging about tommorrow

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 21, 2005 -> 02:21 AM) It's looking like it will be BMac on Saturday and Contreras on Sunday. But I don't think anyone really knows what the hell is going on. Cool, I thought it was just me.- White Sox vs Cubs Game 2 Thread 5-21-05
I am confused as hell. So Contreras wtill start game 2?- Official NBA Playoffs Thread
How many ppg are the Suns averaging in the playoffs? Damn. It's gotta be close to 120 ppg. The Spurs d is gonna be tested like never before.- Official NBA Playoffs Thread
Spurs with a 2 point win on a last second shot by Duncan. Sonics battled pretty hard, but it's hard enough to beat the Spurs when you're healthy, let alone being as short handed as they were.- Sox line-up vs Cubs
I hope Ozzie is not a fool and benches Dye for Timo. Dye is FINALLY swinging the bat well. This is no time to bench him because of Timo having a solid history against Maddux. Then again, Ozzie likes to over manage at times.- Busty with another classic quote...
I never realized what an idiot Dusty was until he became a Flub. I'm serious, the guy just comes off dumb as hell to me.- Johan Santana Gets Rocked!

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 19, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) Pods. He has killed the Cubs over his short career. He had 9 SB versus the Cubs in 17 games last season. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 19, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) Tommorow couldn't come sooner! I hope Garcia brings his A game. I expect big things out of him. He cant lose 3 games in a row!! My pick-to-click for tommorow is Jermaine Dye, call me crazy but I think he is finally locked in. What are your guys picks-to-click? Freddy has had a couple rough starts his last couple outings. I see him getting back on track tomorrow. I'm with you on Dye.- Eric Chavez to the Whitesox?????
