  1. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 31, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) CLIFF JERMAINE COTTS TRIBE Don't forget Marte.
  2. I hate that we have to keep winning like this, but i'll take it. The offense is leaving our pitcher's with little to no margin for error. I'm still pissed at that inning ending double play by Uribe. Luckily, Cotts and Pollite held them down.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 31, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) Politte is 2-0 in this series. I'd hate to think about where we would be without Politte.
  4. I hope Olivo gets it together. He's such a good guy. I'll never forget that slam against the Flubs in 03.
  5. QUOTE(soxman35 @ May 30, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) i made a bet saying he will win over 20 games this season what u think Over 20? I'd be estatic with 18.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 30, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) actually I really was a push off and im a bulls fan but that doesnt get called on super-stars and it would of been the same non call if Kobe, Lebron, Wade or someone of that calibur today does it. Actually, it wasn't a pushoff. And don't think i'm biased. I orginally thought that MJ had pushed Russell to get free. But after carefully watching the replay from all angles about 45747474374844 times, it's easy to see it wasn't a push off. It was a light tap on the butt.
  7. QUOTE(danman31 @ May 30, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) The shot had more importance. Exactly.
  8. Help me out guys. I didn't get to see the game. Tell me all the stuff Ozzie did today.
  9. I haven't seen a perimiter player playing at the level Wade is playing at since you know who.
  10. We need offensive reinforcements in the worst way. Can't wait till Frank and Ross get back.
  11. I like this trade for the Giants. Before becoming a Flub, Hawkins was argubly the sickest set up man in the game. I really believe he's gonna be much better, especially when Benitez gets back.. Isn't that the way it usually happens for Chicago teams? I don't know what's up with the Jerome Williams hype. His numbers have never been impressive. Can't comment on the other guy, i've never heard of him until now.
  12. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) I just heard that Josh lost his best Friend in college killed by a drunk driver a couple weeks ago and it is really effecting him. I hope Josh gets a few days off so he can recover I have lost a friend to a drunk driver and the pain is awful I feel for you Josh Holy s***! I had no idea. That's really sad to hear. Maybe he should take some time off?
  13. I still fantasize about the day a hyped up White Sox pitching prospect comes up and contributes right away.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 28, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) I didn't have the pleasure of watching tonight's game, so I read through this entire game thread. It gives me a reasonably good idea of how things went, above and beyond the final score. Tonight was, from what I can tell, a case of the Sox going though the motions. Things appear to be somewhat bleak at this point. Those that are preaching our hitting leaves a lot to be desired are 100% correct. I don't know why these guys cannot grasp the fact that if you look to go up the middle and to the opposit field as a rule, you'll be more successful. Sure, you can pick your pitches and take your shot at turning on one, but that should be an exception. However, there are some other points I want to make here. We are 8 games into a 10 game road trip and are currently 4-4. We have our best two pitcher's going in the final 2 games of the series, so that is set up nicely. Let's look at the games we have lost on this trip. Game 3 vs. the Cubs. ..... We had a AAA starter going after taking the first 2 games of the series. Game 1 vs. LAA ..... No off days and a flight from Chicago to LA sandwiched in between the two games. Jetlag. It does have a very real effect. Game 4 vs. LAA ..... Got beat due to one bad pitch. We should have scored more runs, but this was just a good game between two good teams. Game 1 vs, Texas ..... AAA pitcher and a 5 a.m. arrival time. Lethargy ruled. The Cubs aren't great but LAA and TEX were both 1st place teams when we arrived in the respective cities. All in all this has not been a bad road trip. Yansy, you are indeed wise.
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 04:59 AM) After his good start a lot of Sox fans were hoping he could be ready for the start of next season. Now it looks like he won't be until 2007 at the earliest. Meaning there's no pressure on Crede to hit like a decent major leaguer.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 27, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) I don't think our needs have been clearly established yet. Sure we can use some more hitting, but who and where? I believe KW is exploring possibilities out there as we speak, and may be able to pull the trigger on a major deal ... like for Chavez. When we get closer to July 31, he'll be focused on plugging holes. What Yansy said.
  17. Very sad to hear. I remember being so high on this guy 4 years ago.
  18. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) First, let me just say that the question posed at the beginning of the thread is invalid, as NO player can guarantee a team a World Series. Now, my answer to the question that you're trying to ask here is I would NOT even consider trading McCarthy for a rental player. If the Sox were to get a young, franchise-type player with little to no injury history that they'd sign to a long term deal in return, then I'd probably do it.
  19. Here's to a possible 20 games over .500 tomorrow.
  20. He's down to .222 :puke
  21. Thomas, the 3 time mvp, that's right, that was his mvp in 2000.
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) I'll take em any way I can get em. Nice to see Kong with another multi-hit game & even better to see Widge come off the bench and make some noise. Same here. But these games are too close for my heart to take.lol
  23. I luv Pablo.
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Updated the Domination Watch. 11 for 11! Awesome sig
  25. Great win tonight. I'm still frustrated with our offense, but Freddy was indeed dominant. A healthy 6 game lead over the Twinks.
