  1. Renteria on the Sox? I'm literally getting warm at the thought of that.
  2. Haven't we learned our lessons about celebrating other team's injuries? :headshake
  3. That's good to hear. I want the Marlins to take the wild card. They're gonna need Benitez to do that.
  4. I called him out yesterday. We were going back n forth for a while on the Cubs. And that's when it hit me that it was him. I called him out. Then he didn't post again till late last night. Even though I can't stand him. I wasn't trying to get him in trouble. I just get annoyed when I see Cubs jockin on a White Sox site.
  5. These morons probably assume that because he made the all-star team, that he's having a good year. :headshake
  6. I'm with you all the way. What's the point of giving up with 2 months left to go? Unless this team goes on another 7 game losing streak "knock on wood" i'll keep the faith.
  7. Where do you get that? You know the Red Sox offered him a 4 year 60 million dollar extension and he turned it down. You think the Cubs will offer him that? No way. And like somebody said. Nomar is still a good player. But he's more of a name now than anything. Not to mention the attitude problems and him being injury prone.
  8. Reesdi was Brando in disquise. I guess he's still got a suspension to serve. And coming on under a different name is against the rules. I wasn't even trying to get him in trouble. I just noticed him in the sportsbar jockin the Cubs and I called ihm out.
  9. And we haven't had obstacles to overcome? A rookie manager? Nothing that even resembled a quality 5th starter for 3 months. Loaiza's drop in velocity. Billy Botch Our 3rd baseman has not exactly lit it up either A complete drop off in production from Harris/Uribe Our best all around player going on the dl twice Frank Thomas possible being out for the season. All that and we were in 1st place as recently as a week ago. Give the Twins props. But it hasn't been peaches and cream for us either.
  10. This guy is in for a rude awakening. What's Loazia's era the last 2 months?
  11. Agreed. I think it's funny when you see all these other quality prospects around the league come up and they immediately start producing. Yet, when a touted Sox prospect comes up we've got to wait 3 or 4 years for them to really click. Crede has had his moments. His run in Aug/Sept 2002 was incredible. He had a solid second half last year as well. But after that it's been a big time struggle for Joe. He's got some of the worst plate discipline i've ever seen. He'll display some of the ugliest swings you'll ever see. He rarely walks. His defense has been kinda shady this year. I don't know. Unless we trade for a better 3rd baseman, "we won't" we've got to be patient with him.
  12. That's what I was thinking. The Dodgers are pretty desperate for a catcher now. Brett Mayne? lol. I'd rather have Ron Karkovice.
  13. I don't want to see ANY Sept call-ups. That means we're hopelessly out of the race. I'd rather wait till spring training to look at these guys.
  14. Damn, I didn't realize Tofu's era was 5.60 :puke
  15. Could they get him through waivers?
  16. Damn. You're a serious baseball geek. Just kidding. I'll be lookin forward to checkin that out. I got a feeling it's not gonna be too good. Like somebody said, Hard to play Ozzie ball with a team that's not built for Ozzieball. Although, we were doing a pretty good job of it when Harris/Uribe were swingin hot bats.
  17. I don't want anybody here that doesn't want to be here. No matter who it is.
  18. The Red Sox and O's will eat him alive. I don't see much success against the Rays or even Blue Jays for that matter. Not with all the flaws he has now.
  19. Very doubtful. He isn't just gonna magically start pitching better because he's a Yankee. His velocity is down. He's not challenging the hitters inside. He's giving up hr's like nobody's business. That won't change cause he's a Yankee.
  20. I'll go with Contreras. Better stuff and more upside. Loazia had his year in 2003. But everybody knew he probably wouldn't come close to matching that in 2004. And of course he didn't. Seems like Contreras's problems can easily be worked out "assuming that's all it is". I don't see Loaiza having any real success in NY. If he pitches anything like he has so far, they'll boo him unmercifully.
  21. lol. I told ya
  22. I love your optimism. I'm just worried about this offense. If we had Frank or Maggs, I would be 100% sure that will go on a run. Will see though.
  23. LMAO. That's awesome. I'm gonna send this link to some friends of mine.
  24. Thanks for the info, Cwsguy. I think we've got a potential stud on our hands.
  25. I swear to god that's Brando. Look at the writing style. Who else on this site jocks the Cubs the way he does? Now he's backtracking and saying he's not a Sox fan. lol. Then why are you on a sox board? Nice try Brando. Go back to northsidebaseball.com
