  4. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) you guys are all bums. say thank you to my wonderful university for hosting it. https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/sliccar2/www/Lets...mp3?uniq=cejo3y thank you!
  5. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) That's another building. i'm pretty sure those are both the same building - see the sears tower behind both?
  6. last week the building said "Sox Pride" i really dig that pic!
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) Whose version are they playing? For some reason I doubt Bonnie Tyler . . . actually yes. it was her version
  8. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) I've made it my cell phone ringer. whered u get it from? cuz i've been wanting to do that
  9. QUOTE(S720 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) I tell you one thing. If that was any other Sox player instead of Pierzynski, he would have walked back to the dugout. you mean like A-Row right before AJ came up?
  10. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) Did you see the guy on the jumbo tron running in place super fast to that song. I loved it. He really got the crowd going. i did it was f***in hilarious. i even started doing it in my seat alllll the way at the top of the upper deck!
  11. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) They need new slogans: "With Dusty we turn rusty". "With Dusty we get dusty". i gotta hand it to you that second one is really freakin clever. how'd you come up with it?
  12. yeah... i guess... but my favorite as of two days ago is Holding Out for a Hero. it just gets everyone so pumped up. plus a couple posters on soxtalk started doing that in game threads even before it was played at the park - freakin cool but yes, the na na goodbye song f***ing rocks as well
  13. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) That's one more piece of damning evidence against JP. Had the umpire used a different "mechanic" to call that third strike I'm pretty sure he still would have rolled that ball towards the mound and went jogging towards the dugout. i just sat here for like a good 30 seconds looking at your sig and trying to figure it out. f***er. haha it reminded me of "The Labyrinth"
  14. im not even gonna be able to see the game tonight - f***in sucks but lets hope i come back to see a white sox winner baby! lets go go go go White Sox!
  15. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Paul had just entered the game, so he wouldn't be as familiar with this particular ump's out call. He assumed that the ump called the batter out when he raised his arm, but didn't realize the lack of a verbal out call meant the play was still alive. Anyway, just a thought. actually Paul didnt even SEE the ump raise his arm. He just ASSUMED it was a strike three - rolled it in and left. all the blame should be on Paul - he f***ed up big
  16. yeah they're finally starting to get it. we're just a lot cooler than the cubs. ps. i love how cubs fans hate Dusty now - wasnt he their savior not too long ago?
  17. Right now: Rogers Park, Chicago @ Loyola University Chicago Normally: Iowa City, Iowa Where I originally became a sox fan: Hillsborough, New Jersey (amidst all the yankees fans) became a sox fan cuz... well... no f***ing clue. actually i think it's cuz my little league team 'the white sox' won our "world series" in the league.
  18. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5101301361.html stupid. propaganda... gotta love it
  19. QUOTE(S720 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) I take Bill's article as a compliment. AJ is the type of players whom you love to have but hate to play against. lol yeah thats the way i took it too. you're just jealous YOUR team doesnt have him dips***!
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:36 AM) That was one of the many deafening songs that was sung at the top of everybody's lungs after the game last night. It is catching and an earworm to say the least. I have had it in my head ever since. yeah i had never heard it before this year and lemme tell ya - i love it. the game the other night was amazing when that song was played - everyone going nuts The song's magical powers ALMOST rival that of the Rally Crede!
  21. this is a blurb from an article on the white sox website: Featured stooges: The combination of Pierzynski, Rowand and Crede have earned the nicknames of Moe, Larry and Curly, i.e. The Three Stooges, from Walker in reference to their goofy camaraderie. The trio was featured on the front page of Thursday's Orange County Register, celebrating Crede's walk-off shot, and planned to get a color reprint and sign it for Walker. GOD i hate how AJ is a clubhouse cancer!
  22. per rotoworld: Don Cooper continues to be the most popular candidate to replace Mel Stottlemyre as the Yankees's pitching coach. Cooper is currently the pitching coach for the White Sox. "It's flattering, nothing else. In case anybody doesn't know, we have this little ALCS thing going on here. Believe me, that's my priority, and I'm having a ball with it," he said. Oct. 14 - 9:50 am et that scares me a lot - don cooper (i think) has been one helluva pitching coach and i think replacing him would be tricky, especially after the success we've had this year. i dont think anything should change as far as the makeup of our pitching staff and that includes Coop. but the Yankees do have all the money in the world - which is a bit of a concern. anyone know that status of Coops contract?
  23. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 06:22 PM) I'm feeling that too. I feel an ALDS-esque offensive showing Friday. Also, Garland's the only reason anyone should feel nervous about this game. And if Garland struggles, everyone in our pen is fresh and available. We'll do this. 7 more. you're not worried about Lackey and his "i can limit the yanks to under 5 runs in two starts"? i kinda am
  24. shoulda put "holdin out for a hero" the song they ACTUALLY played at the park... *mutter mutter* good job tho!
  25. no reason to. there was not one incorrect call last night.
