  1. Someone hasn't even bothered to watch these games... Being a Bulls fan, I hopped on the Pistons bandwagon during the 2001-2002 season on the strength of Ben Wallace. Hell yeah I picked them to win it all this year, but I also picked them to win it all last year. I've seen a ton of Pistons games, as I have the NBA package. This is nothing new. When you're holding the Sacramento Kings to like 45 points through three quarters... Well, no need to tell people why they should have known better all along. I guess that you just have to follow basketball very closely to discover what is what.
  2. There's just no way. He's in there for certain if he can maintain a 1.100 OPS. Torre can not possibly be that stupid.
  3. I apologize! I went overboard, definitely.
  4. Yeah, what is the story with that? I open up my newspaper this morning and it says that Maggs wants to come back next week????? Didn't he just have surgery like not even two weeks ago? He's supposed to be out for 6 to 8 weeks, correct?
  5. He is next in line. Hopefully, come August, we'll be talking about 5 certified all stars. Hell, if Kong keeps this up, we'll have 6.
  6. That's true. And besides, realistically, he can't compete with the Itchy Rolls, the Vlad "I piss on my hands although you'll never hear me say it" Guerreros, the Gary "I misplayed balls back in Milwaukee on purpose" Sheffields, etc. But if this hitting streak continues, he has a shot at making it this year, despite the power outage.
  7. Nuke, I revived this thread, and I've taken plenty of heat for it thus far. I apologize for the confusion.
  8. Trust me, we don't want to trade with the Royals. All of you quality individuals know damn well that we'll give them someone who will turn out to be a superstar. Sweeney or Anderson, for instance.
  9. Hell yeah, way to go Sox. I thought that we were in for some hard times as a result of those blown Koch saves, but now we're back on track! It's good to be back on track.
  10. Isn't it great to have 4 certified all stars? They're certifiable.
  11. See, old threads are good. You have to love them.
  12. Take it for what it's worth: Frank Thomas is my f***ing hero. Always has been, always will be. Frank Thomas to me is like Batman or Superman to 6 year olds. Rest assured that if I was here back when people were talking all that s*** about Frank, I'd have worn out my welcome with the quickness.
  13. Well, seeing as though Frank leads the AL in OPS and is currently 2nd to Many Ramirez in HR, I'd say that these threads have a hell of a lot to do with the current situation.
  14. What's wrong with reviving old threads? People on here do it all the time. There's nothing wrong with it.
  15. Jeremy, That's all fine and dandy. I'll concede that there are 16 and 17 year olds on here who are extremely intelligent, especially witesoxfan. But when YOU try to tell me what's what, I'm just not having it. Especially when I playfully label you as a soxtalk cop and you fire back with some "Idiots I swear..." type s***. That's just what you get.
  16. Yeah, okay, little guy. Are you even out of high school yet? What do you know about anything? Stop yourself. If you don't like it when old threads are revived, then don't support them!
  17. There is nothing wrong with criticizing people after the fact. That's where most of the definitive evidence comes in to play.
  18. If you read what winninugly83 has to say to Frank (go west, young man, go west), then my response is perfectly okay. And I know that you fashion yourself as something of a soxtalk cop, but this is one of those times where your "discipline" was not necessary.
  19. For those of you that have 2nd favorite teams and reside in the Chicagoland area... Is it just a bandwagon type deal? Certain teams are good as of now, so you take notice? So basically, you could have a different 2nd favorite team from year to year?
