We're talking about a league with 24 teams as well (better competition ). Now, there are 30, and yet, there are no more good white players from the US. It obviously has nothing to do with athleticism. Bird is kind of a goof for saying that. I'd ask him to look at baseball, and how a team like Anaheim can have like 23 white players out of 25 in 2003, but he probably doesn't care.

What happened to all the white boys in the NBA? Look no further than baseball, IMO. Every white athlete from the USA is looking to play baseball, while every black athlete is looking to play basketball or football. Just look at DBAHO's new signature with all of our top picks this year. Do we even have one good black prospect in our entire organization? Hell, on a TOP 500 MLB prospects list in 2004, will you even find a dozen black players? And of those dozen, how many are sons of former MLB players? Probably like half of them. It's a sad state of affairs. There is not one black all star in this league under the age of 30. Not one. Milton Bradley doesn't count.
