  1. And besides, we're talking philosophy here, no?
  2. Who gives a s*** about such a minute detail?
  3. Basically, every strong team takes care of the DL and OL before anything else. Then you take care of the special teams. You don't draft wide receivers unless the more important aspects of a given team are taken care of. The Detroit Lions go out and get Joey Harrington and Charles Rogers, but how is their O-Line looking?
  4. Once again, it's called special teams. We don't need any wide receivers right now. Your philosophy is similar to that of the Detroit Lions. It just doesn't make any sense. Now I know better than to talk football on a baseball board.
  5. It's called special teams.
  6. Yeah, maybe you should stop talking to this guy.
  7. Yeah, well, Vazquez adjusted to our adjustments. He's going to make a lot of good offensive teams look like s***.
  8. Here you go. I fixed that one up for you. You'll thank me in the morning.
  9. When I look at Buehrle, I see a humble guy with great control, gold glove caliber defense, and enormous balls. I like that. So don't worry about Buehrle. He's still going to win at least 18, you know.
  10. Yeah, tip your cap to the best pitcher that you'll have to go up against all year. Sheesh. I'd rather go up against Pedro.
  11. Oguleyne is going to demand Urlacher-type money. We should save that cash for a running back. For now, let's just load up on defensive linemen in the draft. Take three in the first four rounds. The Eagles selected 4 DBs in the first four rounds two years ago (6 picks altogether). No more Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, or Al Harris, you say? Well, who cares? They have a s***load of inexpensive talent on the horizon. They ain't stupid, and neither are the Bears. Well, at least I hope not. If they get Oguleyne, Angelo will be out of here before long. I still can't believe that he offered Kearse so much money. If his draft picks in 2003 weren't so phenomenal, I'd put him right there with Wannstedt.
  12. Last year's draft was solid. I'm looking for more of the same from Jerry. Bears Depth Chart Offense: QB: Grossman, Quinn RB: Jones, A-Train WR: Booker, Wade WR: Terrell, Gage TE: Clark LT: Gandy, Gibson, 2004 pick LG: Tucker C: Kreutz RG: Ruben Brown, 2004 pick RT: John Tait Defense: DE: Brown, Tafoya DT: Boone, 2004 pick DT: Robinson, Scott, LaFavor, 2004 pick DE: Haynes, 2004 pick LB: Urlacher LB: Briggs LB: Odom, Knight, 2004 pick CB: Tillman CB: Azumah, McQuarters SS: Green, Gray FS: Brown, Johnson, Worrell What I would do if I were Angelo: 1st round: Best DT available 2nd Round: Best LT available 3rd Round: Best DE available 4rth Round: Best DT available 5th Round: Best G available 6th Round: Best DB or LB available 7th round: Best DB or LB available 8th round: Best DB available I see us taking a running back in the first round next year.
  13. Lee already had his tryout, and he absolutely thrived in front of Frank. Manuel's best move ever, perhaps.
  14. What is that, like a cross between Definitely and Differently? I take it that you're hammered?
  15. Damn, that sucks. Posada is perhaps the best catcher in the business as of now.
  16. LOL That's almost as funny as that Sports Weekly story which stated that Ozzie is at the forefront as far as the Puerto Rican managerial expanison is concerned. The only problem is that Ozzie is from Venezuela.
  17. I'm in Chicago, but I've never actually been to Beatlefest. My dad got me hooked on the Beatles & now I return the favor with bootlegs on Father's Day, his birthday, and Christmas. I'm only in my late twenties, but I'm about as compulsive as they come if we're talking about music. I have over 20 crates of records-mostly jazz and early instrumental reggae. I could probably put a couple cds together of jazz and reggae covers of Beatles tracks. There's a Tubby Hayes cover of "Hey Jude" which is just flawless.
  18. "May Pang Tapes" doesn't ring a bell. I have a number of Lennon bootlegs that I received in trades that I have yet to listen to, though.
  19. Cool. I'll try to get it finished by tomorrow or Wednesday. If anyone else wants one, PM me your address.
  20. I have nothing on my computer, but I could probably put together a custom disc. Are you mostly interested in 64-65 outtakes?
  21. I have one called "Down In Havana". It has 15 to 20 different versions of "Hey Jude". Some of my favorite outtakes: There's A Place (Alternate Take) Yes It Is (Lennon solo) Here, There, And Everywhere (McCartney Solo) In My Life (Alternate take, more feeling) We Can Work It Out (Different Version) You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (Acoustic Version) You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (Unidentified Outtake) I'm Looking Through You (Alternate Version) I'm Only Sleeping (Acoustic version) Not Guilty (Harrison Outtake) I Want You..She's So Heavy (Alternate, Gritty Version) Two Of Us (Alternate Take, More feeling) Rocky Racoon (Kinfauns version- Harrison's House) Blackbird (Kinfauns Version) Julia (Kinfauns Version) Dear Prudence (Kinfauns Version) While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Kinfauns Version) Golden Slumbers (Alternate Take, more feeling) She Came In Through The Bathroom Window (Alternate Take) You Never Give Me Your Money (Alternate Take) Something (Mellow version, Guitar only) Across The Universe (Hums Wild Version)
  22. Frank should pass Joe Morgan in BB for 4th place when all is said and done, but he won't catch Ruth, Bonds, or Henderson.
  23. 25 consecutive innings without an earned run
