  1. QUOTE(ScottyDo @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 04:21 AM) i must have missed something...who's for sure leaving after this season? Carl Everett
  2. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 04:08 AM) Yeah, what an asshole for wanting to play professional basketball, his lifelong dream. I will never feel sorry about the ridiculous amounts of money that professional athletes make, but I'm sure some of them actually love to play and want to do nothing else. Do you think it's possible he wants to play because he loves the sport? If he loves the sport so much why not get in shape to play it until last year.......And sure he can like it but is it risk your life to play a "game".... I love playing basketball too but I cant make a living doing it and he was able to making a living just to stay away from it.
  3. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 03:09 AM) because nobody wants to see him die. I have no ill will towards him. I hope he has a great life and career. The last thing i want to see him is dead. If he still has a heart problem he better quit basketball and do whats best for him. Lol who said they wanted to see him dead... thats why he was offered 20 million just to STAY AWAY from the game.... be mad he left sure but feel bad for a guy that was greedy and willing to risk his life because of it... no good.
  4. lol man upon boys.... still great performance from Jon today.
  5. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 12:12 AM) LOL, biggest reason? AJ is important for his game-calling skills, but he's not the one throwing the motherf***ing pitches, now is he? Coop is the one working with these guys behind closed doors on their mechanics. Cotts, Pollite, Jenks, Contreras, Garland, etc. All credit goes to Coop. And I'm beyond surprised that nobody "addressed" your post before I got to it. We have intelligent baseball fans on here who would NEVER buy into that. All credit goes to Coop.... maybe a lot of that credit actually goes to Cotts, Pollite, Contreras, and Garland etc.... and how does Jenks go to Coop.....
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) I do too. Maybe it's because I met him before, I know how nice and sincere he is. Ok he is a nice guy.. but why feel sorry for him.... he was offered 20 million just to stay away from basketball... ......
  7. I thought he was a fine coach in Indiana.... I mean he is horrible as a GM and everything but I thought he was a good coach just that Bird never gave him a chance.
  8. Yeah AJP is loved from the twins fans and really he is probably the only player they like who is on our team now lol.... He had a couple of problems in San Fran wasnt Herges or whatevr his name one of the pitchers 2 but he apologized.... still he has been great here although I miss Olivo
  9. I think its been said but if we had 2 outs I would of loved the call by Cora... but no we had 0 outs and Rowand was obviously tired and he just slid into 3rd which killed all his momentum.... If we couldnt get the runner home with 0 outs and him on 3B we dont deserve to score but we never got that chance.
  10. Maybe they can take our hitting coach instead
  11. Yeah I never thought of it that way.... even if we lose this ALCS... if we bring some big names in add some payroll we can start drawing big crowds consistently.... A course making it to the WS and maybe even winning it could help too.
  12. The only thing I didnt like about it is that they said name 5 Padres players over/under.... and they acted like they couldnt name 5.... I know they arent a playoff team but thats retarded.
  13. Well someone is involved with over-population... What a terrible life for the mom being pregnant all the time.
  14. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) so if i understand this correctly, in Texas 49.8 of the population is white while 35% are hispanic and 11% are african american. how are we are minority again??? is this the whole world against us arguement again? No they just didnt mention the white %.... you have to take in consideration the asians too.
  15. QUOTE(AirScott @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 03:07 AM) and another reason you're not a manager. but I do think it was a terrible decision by Cora, he should have held Rowand with none out after he slid. if Rowand hadn't slid or Cora saw that play developing, he would be the hero of Game 2. and yes, the decision he made was one of those first-guess calls, where I was yelling at the TV once he sent Rowand. Actually after the season he had I think a lot of managers would think of firing Cora.... a course if we win a WS all is forgotten and everything and I wouldnt fire him during the season or playoffs.
  16. Yeah I cant see this guy as Bonds.... Im going to miss Pierce a lot he was my favorite Bonds of all and when I think James Bond thats who I get an image of..... this though has to be a new low for Bonds.
  17. There is being aggressive and than being stupid.... A lot of times this year Cora has been stupid.... last season he was aggressive but he wasnt crazy aggressive.... this season he sends guys no matter what and it has cost us runs during the season a lot..... If he wasnt close friends with Ozzie his job probably would be on the line right now after that play and after this season.
  18. Yeah PTI has been a lot more unbiased than baseball tonight by far... but still Wilbon does get annoying sometimes and he has said he hates the sox b4 and is a die hard cubs fan... so that southside story he is giving if he is giving it is a bunch of bs...
  19. Idonno lol after this I think they would be wiser not to have him be the ump behind the plate for the rest of the series just because of all the heat he has taken and everything.
  20. To be fair Brantley did call himself out after we beat the Red Sox saying he has been giving us a tough time all season and we proved him wrong.... more than lets say Marriotti has ever done.
  21. I dont think anything is set in stone yet... but Im assuming Hinrich,Gordon,Deng, and Chandler are all for sure starters.... The PF is the real question with songalia, sweetney, othella, and possibly AD fighting for it.
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 05:01 AM) Yes... who are you there? Deng101 and you? I havent seen any Qwerty's..... Just tell me you arent sloth and its ok
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) This is worse than Webber's operation. Amare had the same surgery Penny had years back. Penny wasn't a guy who depended as heavily on his athleticism as Amare. Best case scenario for Amare is to turn out to be the current Antonio McDyess. Id say best case is he turns out to be mostly the player he once was.... Even if he doesnt come back fully im pretty sure he will be better than Antonio McDyess especially if he works really hard at his comeback.
  24. Its what they do on this bulls message board that I post at and I know Qwerty does 2 since i got the link from him. http://www.basketballboards.net/forum/foru....php?forumid=27
  25. The thing is Furcal is a real impact player because of the fact he steals so much. The first half of the season when Pods was giving all those pitchers fits do you remember that. He was the MVP on offense for the 1st half of the season. Now imagine another player like that both on the top of the order...
