QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) I don't know whether I should laugh at you, or feel bad for you for saying that.. I dunno, but the Bulls aint that good.. They already are a 50 plus win team Id imagine so dont be so quick to doubt, Im also taking a wait and see aproach to see how good Miami is.

Bulls need to sign Livingston, Brewer, and Miller and call it an off-season, would make them incredibly deep and if they want to make a move next season should have plenty of tradeable assets.
-
Anyone know if Bulls are looking at Shaun Livingston or Brewer at all or we all just living in a dream world?

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 05:36 PM) Purdue. For football games they have a tradition called breakfast club where everyone is in costume and gets to the bars at 7 am. Early in the season is great cause the girls wear very little Well thats depressing, here I was thinking it was in Chicago and would be fun to go too.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) That's sort of what I'm saying. If someone is willing to do heroin, they probably don't care where it comes from. I think it would prob. deter would be first time users than addicts.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) The problem with starting Corey Hart is that there's nobody to play center field... Its one game for a few innings, not a big deal lol.......

Am I the only one who thinks James Johnson is a very talented player and looking forward to see how he will contribute to the Bulls this season?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 09:00 AM) Anybody see these lineups yet? AL 1. Ichiro RF 2. Jeter SS (He doesn't really deserve to be in the game, let alone hitting second...) 3. Cabrera 1B 4. Hamilton CF (Ichiro should be playing center, Hamilton's D is meh) 5. Guerrero DH 6. Longoria 3B 7. Mauer C 8. Cano 2B (A bit low for him, he's one of the best hitters in this lineup) 9. Crawford LF (Should be higher, his bat is getting wasted down here while Jeter's getting more PAs) SP. Price (Where's Cliff Lee?) NL 1. Ramirez SS 2. Prado 2B 3. Pujols 1B 4. Howard DH (Votto gets snubbed twice, he should be DHing) 5. Wright 3B 6. Braun LF 7. Ethier CF (LMAO, Ethier can't even play right field, how can he play center? This should be Marlon Byrd's spot, Corey Hart shouldn't be starting). 8. Hart RF 9. Molina C (I feel bad for Miguel Olivo) SP. Jimenez I seriously thought Charlie Manuel was smarter than this, his lineup, along with Ethier in center field just makes it look like the NL wants to lose. Good thing this won't be the setup all game. Dont the fans vote for the starters so I dont know why you are going off on that, can pick apart the lineup all you want but he had to start those players to best of my knowledge.

Bhawks better not be shopping Sharp, he is more important to this team than Niemi and it isnt even close imo.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) Bulls werent getting Melo in FA. And I disagree with the assertion that a star is what they need to combat the Miami threesome. I think the Bulls needed players who can spread the floor on offense to take advantage of individual match ups. If a defender has to stand in a corner to cover a 3 point shooter, it gives Rose/Booze Cruise more room to work in the lane. Right and how many people said the Heat werent getting Lebron.....
-
Im not really a big fan of the Bulls signing(Reddick and Korver) because Morrow signed for much cheaper than both and this handicaps us from making any run at Jrich or Carmelo or even both next season which is really what would be needed to rival the Heat.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 11:34 AM) I think it was more along the lines of what Paulie said, if the team felt it was best to move him to make them better, than so be it. He has a tremendous relationship with the city and the owner. Well if we didnt go on a streak there is a really good possibility Konerko is playing for the Angels right now or some other team. Maybe Im giving the Astros management too much credit but I see no reason why they wouldnt trade him.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 11:32 AM) I wonder if the Bulls considered Josh Childress at all. I thought he would have been a pretty good fit, but my guess is, they don't want to go more than 3 years with any of these guys as they want to ensure they have some financial flexibility and not a ton of guys all inked up for the next 6 years. Josh Howard would be decent, but he's recovering from a torn ACL and it will be a while until he is back. I also don't think he fits in very well at the 2 defensively. I wonder if the Bulls would be able to pull off a trade for any of the following: Jason Richardson OJ Mayo With Phoenix making a couple trades to improve the team I dont see why they would trade Jrich and I dont know the Grizzlies situation but seems silly to me to trade Mayo.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 11:16 AM) And Berkman probably wouldn't leave, unless it was to go play for the Rangers. He loves it in Texas. Im pretty sure I recall him saying he was open to being traded like a month ago
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 11:05 AM) i won't take this fantastic fit for our team because you went to a college I don't like. Not too mention he is a really similar player to Korver, I dont see the point of having both.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 09:03 PM) lol Mark Kotsay can play the OF which Mark Teahen cannot, regardless of what you may have read. He's also a vet who can keep his swing coming off the bench after not playing. The Kotsay talk is just dumb as hell. He'll be a very nice bench player for us as soon as we get a capable starter to push Kotsay back into what should have been his role all along. Teahen OTOH needs to stay the f*** off this bullclub. Teahen and Linebrink need to go in a 2-for-1 s*** contract swap so we can open a roster spot, and ideally we'd save some cash in the process. If we can't do that then it's time to take him out back and put him down Old Yeller style. Mark Kotsay can play the OF no better than Teahen really at this point and we have Andruw on the bench who can play a better OF than both so thats not even really important. Teahen is better than Kotsay and can play the same positions and even plus 3B and even 2B. Not saying Teahen would field those positions well but just as well as Kotsay.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) are you just saying nice things about him because he threatened to "cut your nuts off?" Lol he hasnt changed with the times is his flaw, but still I'm not going to call him trash or anything of the sort.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) PS if we're going way under the radar on young guys I want to know what Toronto would ask for Lind. That dude can be scary even though he's not doing too great now. Yeah, now would be pretty much the time to trade for him and hope he rebounds, if nothing else he at least more intimidating in the lineup than Kotsay

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) No, it's been reported that the Cavs and Raptors aren't going to do anything. Well they probably have looked into their options and realize there was no case to be made.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 07:25 PM) Dan Gilbert is a true idiot. If he's so mad at LeBron, why not file a tampering charge on the Heat to the league? It's one of the only ways you can get back at LeBron. Yet, he just sits there... He might of already done that, just because it hasnt been reported main stream doesnt mean it hasnt happened.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) Jesse Jackson has never met a TV camera or reporter he hasn't liked....the man is trash. I can't believe anyone would want that clown sticking up for them. Thats a bit of an overstatement, he isnt perfect by any means but id imagine he has done more good than bad in the world.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) The Brewers most pressing need is most definitely pitching, they won't be winning anything until they revamp that rotation and bullpen. Dealing Fielder would certainly be the best way to load up and I just can't see how we can afford to deal away any of our 3 good/high touting young starters especially with Peavy set to miss the rest of the season. If it meant netting Fielder Id be ok with losing Hudson, I'd imagine Carlos Torres would be the first guy given a chance to fill the 5th spot and if he fails can look at bringing in Pedro/Washburn or a real screwball and give Sale a chance to take the spot over.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 05:37 PM) Those numbers would garner MVP votes. Not with Miggy, Morneau, and Hamilton hitting at the pace they are.... but yeah Im wishing I never dropped Quentin in fantasy now.
