  2. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 5, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) I agree with what is said in the letter, but I want to add an area where I feel the organization fall short--marketing to the surrounding areas. If you look at the MLB "Blackout map" http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wvoLtwni0kc/RhO4...lackout+map.jpg you will see that nearly all of Indiana falls into the Sox' "blackout area". What this means is that the team has exclusive TV rights in this area and therefore games are not available via MLB Extra Innings or mlb.tv. However, with the exception of the NW part of the state from the IL border over to about Elkhart, the main broadcaster of Sox games, CSN Chicago, is not carried on any cable or satellite systems, and to my knowledge the network has made no efforts to get themselves on in this area. So no Sox games other than the ones on WGN are viewable to people in the Fort Wayne/Muncie/Indy areas. There is no real dominantly popular team in these areas, and the Sox are really missing out by not going after these areas. I'm not familiar enough with Iowa and Central Illinois to know if the same problem exists in those places. thank you, this crap pisses me off, the Reds are a lot closer to Indy, I have Comcast Cable and I can't even get CSN, wtf? Anytime they are on ESPN they are blackedout....

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) I want to seriously injure Brendan and Rachel. Nobody should ever be the way that they are. I know!!! I loved the one girl talking in the diary room how that during the Veto they were talking to each other like they would in bed, that was HILARIOUS!!!!!
  4. of course we "Can" still win it, but come on this team has shown us nothing all season to take them serious and believe that they can turn it around and do what needs to be done.
  5. I wish it wasn't so dam hot right now, b/c I'd head downtown to the Indians game and see Dayan play, cause it looks like that might be my only chance.....
  6. totally opposite for me, I can focus on other things and not let a WSX loss bug me for 48hrs.
  7. if we truly are "All In" it should be Danks to the pen.

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) So you'd expect our starters to average 7 innings pitched and 3.23 ERA all season? I think his point was you making it sound like 2005, our starters have been good and bad this year. Our offense is what has been playing over their heads.

I also loved his made up Spanish name for the merged tribe....hilarious!!!!
  15. MLB at Bat also has a "look in" feature this year which allows you to watch small parts of the game, it isn't much but is a nice new feature.

yeah that was an unbelievable move last night!!! you could tell he was fighting back the smile.
  17. Morel officially named starter today http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/6201/brent-morel
  18. nice article but I still don't like that uniform. I think it's more of the pedestrian like logo that really gets me, and the heavy color blocking but I will admit it is a unique set, and better than what they had just prior to that. I love the current set and the older uniforms from the 00's-50's as well.

  21. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 12, 2011 -> 12:43 PM) Everyone says that. I don't know what's so hard to get. well i do it sometimes but my excuse is that one of my best friends growing up is named Chris Sales. Everyone calls him Sal.
  22. yeah any old MLB logo on shirts is under the "Cooperstown Collection" umbrella, really doesn't have much to do with actual Cooperstown, similar to Hardwood Classics in NBA and Gridiron Classics in NFL and Vintage Hockey for NHL. Another artist here at work mocked up some similar designs of the other designers in our department, pretty good laugh.
  23. stop! you're making too much sense!!!! i agree completely.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) Second, I absolutely hate Superman. He's like that kid you used to play cops and robbers with as a kid. "I shot you, you're dead." "Nuh uh, I'm wearing a bulletproof vest...plus it's fireproof and it lets me breath underwater." Or he's Cartman in the ninja episode. He has an ability that one-ups everyone else's powers. ^This, so freaking true.
