  1. Yup. The 'Sox better make some big changes with the organization.
  2. Rain delay... ouch.. That twitter post is insane.
  3. Wow, this is one HELL of a game, one hell of a series. Lindor with an amazing play after a big Gomes f*** up. Big Baez f*** up, have to get that bunt down, just think, one BUNT away from winning the championship...
  4. When Davis came up to bat I was telling my gf how terrible of a hitter he is and how theres no chance for him. I kept on going on and on about how bad he is, and then he hits the homer.
  5. Look at the bright side guys... this is all setting up for the perpetual doom that will be laid upon the wife beater... grand slam walk off!
  6. nearly 80% of tickets sold for this game are for fans outside of Ohio via graphic from the game.. That is just awful. Capitalism.
  7. The silver lining here is that Hendricks has not been unhittable and lester would have to overcome 2 days rest only and weird relief appearance. 2 runs isn't incredibly difficult to overcome.
  8. Tie game folks! Woohoo, nice going Indians. At the very least, this is a hell of a game to watch. I have homework to do and I can't keep my eyes off this.
  9. Jeez, the base running is awful against the Cubs...
  10. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 01:45 PM) The way I see it, the Cubs are in year 2 of their 5 year title contending window. They will be knocking on the door every year until these kids become FA's and begin asking for Dodger/Yankee/Red Sox money. The Indians are also in the beginning stages of their competitive window. With that said, the White Sox need to rebuild and trade off their assets. The target date should be 2019 or 2020 to be ready to compete. The White Sox arrival would ideally mean the departure of this Cubs era of sustained success. (2015-2020). The time is now to trade off assets like Sale and Quintana to obtain near MLB ready prospects. I was looking at the farm system depth today and I am starting to realize that we are getting some decent depth down there. (FINALLY!) This may or may not be the thread to talk about this but with the likes of Spencer Adams and Alec Hanson being ready in the near future. Rodon ready to move up the rotation, Shields here to eat up innings (and thats about it) and Fulmer ready to learn as a starter at the MLB ready, the time is now to take advantage of the market. Sell high on Sale and Q and lets continue to beef up the farm. Let's reestablish a new core and let's do this the right way. No more re-tooling. Let's rebuild. With all of the assets-- this rebuild can be accelerated to a point where they can be ready by 2019 in my opinion. The free agent market for starting pitching is pretty weak. The market for Sale and Q this winter will be HUGE! I have never seen KW or Hahn sell high on any of the White Sox veterans. I really hope they do so now. Trade these guys: Sale, Q, Abreu, Melky, Frazier and Robertson. This should reshape the entire roster to a point where we'll have plenty to be excited about moving forward. A feeling us White Sox fans haven't had in a LONG time. The hope of a real success future. I absolutely agree. I am considering becomming a cubs fan, if the White sox mess up this offseason.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 11:46 AM) Not to be as ass but there's absolutely 0 chance that the Indians haven't lost 3 in a row this year. OK, they have lost three in a row, but not more than 3. "How many times have the Indians lost three games in a row this season? This is relevant, of course. Seven different times during the 2016 regular season the Indians lost three games in row. Most recently, it happened on Aug. 25, as they lost to the Rangers after dropping two to the Athletics. Interestingly, the Indians this season never lost more than three games in a row at any point. Given the sprawl of baseball's calendar, that's highly impressive."
  12. I don't think the city will burn.. I've been saying it will for a while, but after the Cubs won the NLCS it's just a bunch of drunk party-goers littering and being asinine human beings. I'd much rather see riots and the burning of city, well, not exactly for sports reasons, but I'd take it, but I don't expect any of it to go down win/lose. As for this game, my money is slightly on the Indians. They haven't lost 3 in a row this year (I think per this thread earlier) and Kluber on the mound with a recharged bullpen. Hendricks isn't exactly lester or roided up Arriereta and the Indians are at home (although this benefit is neutralized by Schwarbers presence). They won't make a mistake like they did in Game 6 with the outfield error again and it should be a close game. Great series for baseball, not a good time to be a Sox fan (cubbies will grow this generation). I am looking forward to tonight's game.
  13. Thanks for the clarification. So it was what I expected it to be. I will say that I think this is a non-issue. As an individual who despises advertisements, I despise this particular advertisement no different than the others. I see the point and connection of a downward franchise with this logo, but anyone being realistic understands the context here (Guaranteed rate logo, not downward arrow for franchise). Bad timing as there is such negative feelings towards the Sox, but at the end of the day, what will really give us the feelings will be how they approach the offseason... That will determine whether I am here on opening day talking to you guys on Soxtalk or not .
  14. First quarter, Bulls already killing it 32-15 vs BKLYN
  15. What's wrong with the down arrow that isn't wrong with other advertisements?
  16. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Oct 31, 2016 -> 11:12 AM) I ended up getting a PS4. Are there any games you guys recommend besides The Show and Madden? I typically like sports games, but am open to anything. Is there a good auto racing game? I'd like to play with my dad. I'm not sure if this fits, but Rocket League is an amazing game. It's very fast paced, online action. Check it out if you haven't yet. It's one of those games that you just set up, play, and have fun. I completely agree, I remember NBA Street, NFL Blitz, NHL Hitz and these games were some of the best sports games i've ever played (especially NHL Hitz). With the focus being online play these days, it's so sad that we don't get better versions of these games with really creative stadiums and players and unlockables. The corny, but hilarious announcers were always fun too. Ah well... one can only hope....
  17. I agree with the sentiments here. The booking has been awful. Title changing hands, Banks not winning it on PPV's, but instead on Raw. The finish left me puzzled, why have Banks lose as the face in this monumental match in her home town? Why have her come in with the title? Such a long list of issues with the Raw booking team, has me confused. Apparently, word has it that the outcome of that match was changed last minute by Vince to have Charlotte go over victorious and start a feud with Bayley sooner rather than later. The woman's division literally has like 5 people on Raw. Charlotte / Banks / Bayley / Dana / the crazy big chick that dominates everything. Kind of a joke that they cant seem to build up the mid/undercard. .
  18. I don't think her promos are anywhere near bad! I think she has potential and has room to grow on her promos. I do agree that her matches tend to have more botches than I like. But I can give her the benefit of the doubt here as her matches are usually entertaining and provide a lot of creativity.
  19. Why? I particularly like her as a wrestler. I think she had some amazing athletic moves and had a fluid match. My only real marks against the match were: 1) The start of it, acting as if Sasha was unable to compete and then miraculously she is able to pull of the match. 2) The non-dramatic ending. But both of these are booking problems, not Sasha problems. Loved the match overall and though Sasha wrestled good.
  20. Meh, good for them to get the win that they needed at Wrigley. Look at that stadium, it's popping! Good for the city $$$$. Now, death in Cleveland, game 6 or game 7.
  21. Pretty damn enjoyable match. Sort of a quiet ending tho. Would have preferred a bigger move to finish it off instead of a suprise win. Good match tho.
  22. wtf is going on at HIAC with Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks. That was too much of a play with Sasha getting injured. Not a good way to get her over with anyone older than 13. Was off to an amazing start, that made it average, now lets see how the finish is.
  23. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks in HIAC on right now .
