  1. Id focus just on gallen, tho i would love marte... doubt they give up both but gallen marte for kopech madrigal and much more for starters probably need to add crochet or vaughn or something to it as well gallen is top notch
  2. Back to the pipe dream of signing Trevor Bauer... ... Just got around to watching his YT video on 'what he wants in free agency'. In theory... the idea of a player being transparent through this process should be a great thing and very moral of the player, but watching it I get a few vibes: 1) Bauer is doing his best to be a good guy and be transparent, I truly believe he's a good dude But it comes off a bit wrong in this video somehow. 2) For someone focused on their brand... his videos are pretty dull and boring. Could use a better editor, or maybe that's just my twitch video gaming side of me talking... 3) Bauer is definitely interested in the 4 day starts for him. I'd be totally down. I think if the White Sox group actually gave him care and attention, 5/150 would be a slam dunk and there's a decent/good chance he can be had for much less due to the poor market for him atm. Maybe 3/90? Maybe 4/100? IDK. I realllllllly hope the WS are in on him because he can be had!
  3. Vaughn doesn't start the year with us. He could use some seasoning. When he does get up, give him some spot starts at 1b or dh, and also there is a high potential that the situation just works itself out anyway by in season injuries...
  4. I somewhat agree, but i'm not sure why they wouldn't... Eloy is an awful defender and injures himself in the field.
  5. Beats me.... that's just what people are speculating in this thread. If I was Boston, I wouldn't touch Reynaldo, but they seem to have really soured on Benintendi... Beni is definitely going to be traded soon somewhere.
  6. Benintendi goes to LF and Eloy goes to DH, Eaton in RF, Robert in CF. We need another OF, preferably a LHB.
  7. I'd be pretty darn happy with a Kluber signing.
  8. For a little profile on Burnes: https://ddfs.substack.com/p/2021-sp-slow-ranking-milwaukee-brewers
  9. Burnes put it together in the shortened 2020 season, he has amazing under the radar numbers that could put him as one of the best starters in all of baseball, he had good prospect pedigree if I recall. He's definitely better than Kopech and more reliable than Crochet, but there's also definitely some risk.
  10. Absolutely... I think I would have no problem trading Vaughn in a package for Woodruff or Burnes. I'd think Vaughn has more trade value than Madrigal so maybe something like Vaughn+Stevier+lottery ticket ? Idk....
  11. I guess he could move elsewhere of course, but wouldn't they be more interested in Vaughn?
  12. Brewers have Hiura at second base, remind me why these guys have any interest in Madrigal? Hiura is their long term 2b.
  13. This 100%. There is absolutely no reason to sign a DH when we have Eloy currently in the OF and Also have Vaughn looking to come up. We need capable outfielders with at minimum league average defense... and some reliability.
  14. As far as Andrew Benintendi goes... I'd definitely be intrigued. I think he can be had for very little and he's shown ability and is still young, also a left hander and I assume a decent/good defender in the OF (exactly what we need to move our statue Eloy into a DH role). I'd be really stoked if we could get Beni, it would make me feel 100% better about the Eaton signing. Although, I've seen nothing to state that the White Sox are in on him... I've seen other teams mentioned as suitors.
  15. Wow you guys have made me excited that The Sox might actually go out and get an impactful arm. I 100% support that notion over getting some garbarge innings eater like a Quintana type. Burnes is a very interesting target... I'd be stoked to get him, but also a bit afraid of the risk there. He really only had the irregular 2020 season where he spiked goodness at a MLB level, but he'd immediately be a guy that you plug into this rotation with Giolito and Keuchel for the next 3-4 years... and hope that he can become an Ace. I have no idea why the Brewers would ever want to trade tho... it makes no sense, these guys aren't expensive, they are playing in a division that is completely up for grabs, and burnes/woodruff puts them in contention. They trade one of them and they are out of contention really. Makes no sense to me. I could see the Reds trading Castillo because they've been crying poor all offseason. I'd prefer/love to just sign Bauer. An impactful arm get would be the slam dunk of the offseason for this team. I think they almost need to do it and this offseason is ripe for the picking in that regards. I also honestly think it wouldn't cost as much as what people are projecting in this thread. Look at some of the deals made this offseason.
  16. Eloy is our dh....... this makes no sense
  17. Ive seen conflicting reports on our salary situation but man it woukd be incredible to get bauer... its the only move that’d make me stfu about all the poor decisions like larussa and eaton
  18. You know... if owners make poor trade decisions or poor roster moves in a dynasty fantasy baseball league we kick them out of it for lowering the value of the league and the competitive nature of it... but if these billionaire owners make poor moves on their real life roster they get rewarded for it. Just a joke. A group of 12 of us could run a fantasy league better than the MLB.
  19. Suarez + Castillo interests me. IDK where Suarez could play, but maybe him 3b and Moncada at 2b with Madrigal going back in the trade for them? For that package I'd be willing to give Madrigal ++ much more, maybe a Kopech or Cease, + more.
  20. It's frustrating watching star players go for pennies this offseason. I know our Sox don't have a lot of depth in the minors, but I wish they would get a bit more creative in trade pursuits and be more willing to spend in free agency for quality. You are right tho, it ain't happening as much as I want to wish it into a possibility.
  21. So there was definitely some buzz this weekend that the Cubs are really looking at trading Bryant. Seems like the Mets are all over it (as they should be). Nationals and Braves are also ideal targets. Have to wonder why both of those clubs are not more involved here as there is a serious need at 3b and a prime hitter for both. I still wish our White Sox would get in on this. He could be had for very little (i'm sure) and would be an incredible addition even though he is right handed and we are RH heavy.
  22. I'd much rather Andrew Benitendi over Adam friggen' Eaton. At least there's some high ceiling possible with Beni...
