  1. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 30, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) He already has been re-signed, qwerty.... I thought that was a bogus rumor?

    QUOTE(3E8 @ May 30, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) That's what I've been waiting for all year. Way to go, little buddy. I never doubted you. :headshake
  3. Please no one make an excuse for ozzie whether you saw the game today or not. It cannot really get much worse than what we all witnessed today. I really hope he is not resigned ( even though he will be) because like someone said earlier, he is by far the worst x and o's manager in baseball.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 30, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) How exactly is it possible for us to see more of Timo than we've been seeing? It seems to me like he's been PH ing in every game this week. We could start him in center and bat him third?

    For the record timo still blows.
  6. Timo perez will be on this team until 2013 now.
  7. Which performance out of these listed at the link do you consider jordan's best? http://www.nba.com/playoffs2005/legendsseries_jordan1.html
  8. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ May 30, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Let's see. Shingo is the all time saves leader in Japan. He got lit up in spring training last year and started slowly before becoming a lights out closer for the Sox last year. This year he is struggling early but as has been pointed out, only has had two really bad outings. I say we keep him. B) They just went back on the record books and found out two of shingo's saves were indeed not saves... therefore he only has 228 to sasaki's 229.
  9. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ May 30, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) Doesn't Shingo have a no-trade clause in his contract? I think I read that on here somewhere. I still don't think he does. As santo said before he may have it to five teams or so but it's sure as hell not a full no trade clause.
  10. My guess for thomas tonight is 0-3 with a walk.
  11. QUOTE(AirScott @ May 29, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) 1) I barely go on the internet, so I've missed a lot of what everbody says. 2) I mentioned his contract situation, meaning depending on when his contract is up and with the s***ty season Houston is having he could be available. 3) Ensberg is no Peavy. Peavy led the majors in ERA last year, he throws 96. Ensberg is a much more consistent Joe Crede, and would fit well here. then again, so would Albert Pujols (just thought I'd take away your next wild comparison). EDIT: you're saying the Astros wouldn't consider trading Ensberg for a Brian Anderson? you know, they're not exactly set in centerfield. What you said is not even what irritates me. It is all of the people that think brazoban and mike gonzalez's of the world are available. Why the f*** would that be? Also the white sox or any team would never offer a player of anderson's caliber for ensberg.
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 29, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Jas and I decided that he had at least one left. He has been brought up three times in three different years. Wouldn't that mean he has run out? Or is it because he has been brought up in september?
  13. QUOTE(AirScott @ May 29, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) way to clear that up. I have said it before and stated the reasons. Thought it is pretty obvious that teams don't give up young cheap players for no good reason. Apparently i was mistaken. Maybe we can scoop up peavy while we are at it. Think they like vizcaino, cotts, and shingo ( they were interested him before anyone else you know).
  14. QUOTE(AirScott @ May 29, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) I'm not sure of his contract situation, but I'd like to see the Sox pick up Morgan Ensberg. he's doing basically what we expected of Crede, and I'm sure we could find some team in the rebuilding mode to take Crede off our hands. (and thus officially ending my status as the lone Joe Crede supporter left in Chicago) Ensberg is not going anywhere.
  15. QUOTE(JimH @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) But he's on the 40 man for a reason, the Sox like him. I'm not thrilled with the 13 walks in 24 innings though. Wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon...
  16. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) Sorry, but this guy attacked me right off the bat, probably on the basis of my screen name. No. You are wrong. Basically you are lucky there are no admins on at the moment.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) We had 18 hits in the 2 games. I wouldn't go that far, but I wouldn't expect anything else out of you. Doesn't matter. We only ended up scoring 6 runs this series against the rangers. The This offense is sad as all hell and there really isnt any way around it. We have scored a combined 17 runs in our last 7 games. No need to worry though we have that record to fall back on.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) The only person who consistently hits the ball hard is......Chris Widger ... he should bat fourth behind thomas.
  19. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) s*** HEAD Like i said good screename... but you are a penis.
  20. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) How much would it cost to have Crede or Everett's legs broken. Someone should suffer the way they've made us suffer. Great screename. Welcome to soxtalk.
  21. QUOTE(Brian @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Too many other 1B playing better than Konerko, but didn't Torre select Giambi a few years ago when he was batting .220? Francona is hopefully not a biased fool and selects dave mccarty in.
  22. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Does anyone find it rather odd Cordero is pitching in a blowout? Appears as if Showalter is having his fun right now. He has only pitched once in the last five days i believe. They probally want to keep him fresh.
  23. QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) This game is a blow-out. How many blow-outs has this team been on the losing end of this year? 1, maybe 2? Let's all relax, there is 112 games to go. Boooooooooo to these excuses every day.
  24. QUOTE(jerseysox @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) i'm still accepting wagers on this. Konerko makes it i leave soxtalk for a month and if he doesn't you do the same. Agree?
  25. Looks like memphis will be giving up their draft pick for cash... you have to bet the bulls will be looking into that.
