  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) 16 pages, 224 posts, 44 for Jabroni alone. 116 for the day and the game has not even started.
  2. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Why not go after Ryan Freel? Right now he is hitting .322 with 12 stolen bases. He can play practicaly anywhere, and he would most likely be cheap. Who do you think will be cheaper, a 29 year old super utility man that they control for years to come, or a 35 year old 3rd baseman that is a free agent at the end of the year?
  3. QUOTE(shakes @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) Here's what cbs has to say. I wouldn't take much stock in these guys. Did you see their NFL draft predictions? http://www.sportsline.com/nba/draft/mock Those are pretty ridiculous to say the least. :headshake
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) Great place for a high schooler to go. Telfair didn't get in any trouble while there.
  5. I see utah trading up (why wouldn't portland trade down? They don't need paul and they'd get green at 6 ( who they could really use) ...that's a natural trade unless Utah wants vasquez or felton more.) This would really be nice for you palehose considering williams would not be stuck with the blazers. Because if they do hold onto the number three pick ( which very good chances they won't) they are almost forced to take him.
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) There have been 7 pages worth of posts in the last hour. If it was Barry Bonds, or Ichiro , or Pedro I promise there would not be 7 pages worth. This is true. But i am not ashamed to say if it was bonds i would be happy as all hell.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Why not? Most of the stuff Levine reports anymore isn't true anyway. Not true. He reported alex cora was signed by the indians... two days later.
  8. This darft is far from bad. This is gonna be one of the deeper drafts in recent memory. More undrafted players are gonna find there way onto nba rosters than in the past which is a good thing rather than bad.
  9. QUOTE(JimH @ May 26, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) Hopefully the White Sox think about it. I thought Strickland would've been a good guy to get into the organization but the Astros signed him. I agree on strickland. He is still only 29 and was a damn good set-up man for years. I don't think a minor league deal would have hurt. Hell, we have signed much worse players than him to minor league contracts. The reason it is a shame is because we need another right handed reliever and he will be ready to go within three weeks. I agree with cheat about day. This would be a great time to look into trading for him because his stock seems to be at aan all time low. He was just sent to triple a new orleans yesterday due to a 6.75 era this season. But he is definitely not a 6+ era type pitcher. I would love for him to be in our pen/spot starter. Did i mention he is only 26?
  10. Anthrax you ruined another thread. Congratulations.
  11. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 27, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) Mcewing , randa, crede...... They all blow
  12. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:49 AM) Randa? No, joe mcewing.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) And replacing him will be............ Another joe i hope.
  14. I am submitting cruddy to urbandictionary.com. Gonna have a picture of the cruddy one as the description.
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) Id say 2.06 is around average... and yeah Dye is piss poor and he was apposed to be good with the glove not to mention all the extra errors he has committed. Remember 2.06 is being done while not playing everyday so that can affect a player too... 2.06 is piss poor when you play at the wall.
  16. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) If that wild pitch didn't bounce right back to Molina, we may not be discussing this either. It was a quirky game. Contreras pitched well. Cotts pitched well. They struck out what? Eleven batters? It would have been nice if the Sox hit better, but luck played just as much a part in this game as anything. Funny thing is iguchi was under the damn tag. They showed the replay from a few different angles and he looked safe every time. Boo to the umps.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) last year Timo Perez range factor in right field was 2.06 and he did that with no errors... to compare this year Jermaine Dye's range is 1.67 with .942 fielding percentage.... This year Jaque Jones has a 2.02 range factor and he is considered a good defensive OF.... Im not saying Timo is a gold glover but he is pretty much an average fielder and he has that really good arm which helps his case...so rip on him all you want but nothing really to say about his hitting 2.06 factor is piss poor. Dye's range factor is so bad it's not even funny. Jones career range factor is 2.40, at this point he is .38 point below that. I doubt it stays that way all year long. The higher the range factor the better.
  18. QUOTE(TheDybber @ May 26, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) No, I just left them out because he DID bring 6 championships, but he also had the laughingstock of the league for 5-6 years. So, it evened out. No. Jordan made the bulls a laughing stock.
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:06 AM) Greg Dobbs, Eric Valent, Eric Bruntlett, Bobby Higginson, Mark DeRosa....Timo Perez can be arguably better than all of those clowns. 126 at-bats for bruntlett in his career... he does not count. 81 career at-bats for dobbs he does not count. I guess you could count valent but he only has had one year of over 42 at-bats. Higginson is much worse than timo considering his contract. Derosa is definitely not worse than timo. Derosa can play multiple positions while timo cannot play one.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:01 AM) Rowand is the least of our problem. Focus more on that black hole from the 4 slot on down. Rowand has sucked offensively. I am sorry but it is true.
  21. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ May 26, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) That's a little exaggerated. Konerko has hit in nine of the last ten games (.395) Dye sucked in this series, but he's having a good May. Crede, Uribe and Everett fit your description, but the others haven't been that bad. Pretty sad when .260's is considered good for any player in any month... We are lucky pierz is getting on at his current rate, .30 points higher this year from his batting average than his career. Rowand has also been less than exciting.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 26, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) He isnt the worse player in the majors... but he isnt good thats for one... I think he is mostly there because he can talk to everyone... he knows japanese, same hometown as Uribe, and can speak english he is there for his club house presence and as Ozzie's personal bitz. Find me some players that are worse than him and are on a major league roster year in year out. Take as long as you need.
  23. Nice little weak grounder out to cabrera.
