  1. Bigger things in the world to worry about.
  2. QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:24 AM) the best part about it...is that you don't hear it from Larry, who you would expect to hear it from, but the one who actually says it is Jerry, when he repeats "you told him to f*** off!"......just weird because I've been a seinfeld fan since his show started, and its basically the first time i've ever heard him drop the F bomb.....i'm pretty sure that was the effect they were going for as jerry has always been known for having a super clean mouth BTW I thought last week's office was subpar...I was really disappointed because the first two (especially the season premier) were very good...maybe i just need to watch it again You wanna hear Jerry swear? Watch Comedian. Good stuff.
  3. Ari and Lloyd can have their own spin-off. I'm not saying cut them out or anything, just not as much of them on their own and more of Ari as Vince's agent and Lloyd as Drama's agent. I don't care about buying other companies. I don't care about Lloyd's trials and tribulations trying to become an agent. Just being Ari's assistant is enough. I think it's just too much of each separate life. They should get back to being an ENTOURAGE.
  4. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 11:29 AM) Barbaro's story still makes me sad. Can you put your purse down when you type that, please?
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 09:47 AM) Sagarin talked with Katz yesterday and they discussed Illinois. Basically they've been a good program throughout the span of this report (from '38 to last year), so that's why they're really high. It's all about consistency. Duke was s***ty before Coach K.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 07:57 AM) Its a million dollars. To you and I that is a lot. In the baseball scheme of things, it is two minor leaguer's salary. It is like buying a lottery ticket for the powerball in terms of how much it cost us. At the end of the day, if he is "Fat Freddy" you cut him, and you don't care. It amazes me that you have to explain this considering we just went through that THIS YEAR with Colon. *sigh*
  7. All this talk of organs is making me uncomfortable. Nancy...you will be missed. I hope the Sox do something really nice for her next year...like win a World Series.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 03:37 PM) This sure isn't helping this American's feeling about the rest of the world right now either. It isn't worth being the world's sugar daddy just so someone will like us. Maybe they should put on a couple of their own olympics and then think about how much America helps teh rest of the world. The USOC needs to get their s*** together. They should just sit out the next 2 Olympic picks. Tell the IOC, we want to straighten ourselves out first. By then, it will be nearly 30 years since an Olympics has been in the US. If they choose someone else, consider cutting funding to the IOC and starting up that competing tv network.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) My wife's aunt works for a major Olympic sponsor... i wont say who it is. She was told that after Chicago was eliminated in the first round a bunch of the companies delegates to Denmark threw their phones in the river and a group in Chicago went out and got drunk. Love. It.
  10. New book by ESPN uses Sagarin rankings to rate best all-time college basketball programs...the kicker...Illinois is 6th. Sagarin rankings
  11. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:00 PM) I didn't even see where the had worked a collection box into the monument. I Kid Because I Care® Thread killer.

  13. Is Ty Cobb available? /green
  14. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) Garcia's was never great pizza, but their brand of soft doughy, tomato sauce-soaked pizza did grow on me. When I was down there I worked at Zorba's gyro joint on Green St. next to Mabel's before it turned into Z's or whatever it turned into. Is that place still around? Did you go to Treno's too...ya old fart? Oh wait...I went there...
  15. Quietly though...this site does not condone betting.
  16. Is Garcia's still in Champaign?
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) Ari and Matt Damon saved the Entourage finale. They better get back to what brought them to the dance next year. The Matt Damon stuff after the credits was awesome. Curb continues to rock. I wish they didn't spend as much time on Turtle and Eric, but I liked the Drama, Ari and Vince/Damon plotlines. But, they need to take a little focus off of Ari and his business to get back on track.
  18. BLACKHAWKS HOCKEY! That being said, it is a sad day, but the best part about baseball is...they report to AZ in 4 months.
  19. Meh. He did what everyone should do...get it out in the open before it becomes public. It will go away...
  20. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 03:26 PM) Kathy Bates could turn me gay in self-defense. Wait...you mean...you're NOT gay?
  21. I'm disappointed that this happened, not necessarily for me, but for my young son. I was really looking forward to going to the swimming events with him (my wife was a Division 1 scholarship swimmer). And whatever other events we could get tickets for. He's going to be 8 in 2016 and I think that's a great age. There is a .01 percent chance that I would go to Rio. At least, not with him. I hope the USOC sits out of the next few Olympic host city competitions. Not as a major statement, but as a, "we see what you are doing and we are going to just sit back and watch for awhile." Disappointing...but not heartbreaking for me.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) Shut up, that's why. Baninated!
  23. Anyone know the Phillies org? Since Lidge has pretty much bit the big one...again...they might be interested in Bobby Jenks. But, I'm not familiar with their young prospects.
