  1. Frazier would totally suck on the Sox.
  2. As long as they're okay with never attracting an american free agent
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) Please...no rongey. What's his deal? I heard him at the end of his show saturday (literally last two minutes) sounded like he was signing off for good. Thanking his parents for all the support, saying the show had a good run the last 10 years etc etc. He's definitely leaving something, but since I caught so little wasn't sure if it was 670 to the new station, the sox, or both.
  4. We should put a call into Brian Barnhardt. He does play by play for University of Illinois basketball and football. Currently my favorite play by play guy in all of sports and as good a radio voice as you'll ever hear. He was the Angels play by play guy back in the late 90s before wanting to move back with his family to Champaign. Don't think Chicago and a part time schedule would be much of an issue. We will probably go in house unfortunately though.
  5. Ugh terrible. Can't wait til people get what they wish for and we get f***ing Chuck Swirsky. Ugh
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 09:20 AM) Ga Tech was #14 at the time and considered a good team. ND never plays FCS teams and they had to play ACC teams due to their new contract. I really think that calling a schedule made 5 years ago a "joke" is overstating things. That doesn't change the fact that the schedule sucked pre-clemson. That's all he said. He wasn't criticizing them not trying to schedule to tough. And you also should not be rewarded if your schedule ends up sucking.
  7. Starlin Castro is somehow, someway going to make an absolutely terrible play and it'll cost the Cubs the game. That's my prediction.
  8. Sounds like Stone and Hawk will be back.
  9. Ugh. Don't want sox season to end, regardless of how bad it was.
  10. http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/index.jsp?c_id=mlb See the Sox last game. See the Mariners who they're battling for a top 10 protected pick. See the Astros, Rangers, Anaheim and Yankees battle it out for the division, and two wild card spots. See Cubs and Pirates play for home field advantage in the WC game.
  11. Enjoyed the MSG house show. Watching Brock commit murder will never get old. Thought Cena vs Rollins was fantastic and that the cage added another element so it didn't feel like the same match we've seen before.
  12. Wow. Awesome career. Was he not expected to be on the Jays playoff roster? That's surprising to me but maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention.
  13. Not that I'm complaining but what planet is it a good idea to throw Verlander 120 pitches tonight?
  14. Swirsky please don't ask so many questions.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) Hell yes!!! Great drive and thank you to Nebraska for the ridiculously stupid 3rd down play call. Mike Ripley should be fired after 1 year, ha. He's terrible.
  16. People wonder why illini fans complain about the refs. Well we have a crew who already lost count of downs and resulted in an automatic Illini turnover and now a play is being illegally reviewed from 2 plays ago
  17. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) Got free tickets to the game, hoping to get 2 of those sale stretch Armstrong dolls if anyone's looking for one. I'd love one if possible.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 05:07 PM) The entire officiating crew in the Illinois game should be fired. Illinois fan complaining about the refs...shocker. Seriously though, yeah, miss counting the downs resulting n automatic Illinois turnover is legit the worst call I've seen.
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 03:26 PM) he'll be one of the few that Miami will be calling. Illinois will have to wait. You'll get Mark Richt.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) Yeah, not sure this Texas thing is working for Charlie Strong Illinois needs to roll out the red carpet like now.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 05:25 PM) Eh, its not that common to find one of the all time most accurate kickers as a FA every year. Of the 30 most accurate kickers of all-time, 19 are active players right now, so that's not really true. The other 11 are relavtibrly recent amd could still be had right now really. Kickers have all become so good that there's little difference in between them these days.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) Merkin floating the name Raul Ibanez as a possibility. So a guy with no coaching experience who can come in and be their friend? We got enough of that.
