At the game, what happened? Ump called something I assumed out of the baseline. Did he call interference on Beckham wtf??? -

Some fringe linebacker sucker punched Geno Smith. Out 6-10 weeks. The culprit was released. Wow.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 10:50 AM) The advertised dark match (Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins, Sheamus, and Bray Wyatt) did not take place after Raw last night. Fans at show were pissed it was advertised since day tickets went on sale and local radio on Monday. Raw Dark matches almost never happen Unless Raw ends with a segment. -
What a joke of a home plate ump. Christ.

He should bet on himself and accept the QO.

Top 30 White Sox Prospects - Midseason 2015
Buehrle>Wood replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in FutureSox Board
Any thoughts on Cody Winiarski? If I remember right, he was a bit of a prospect, almost died or something, then tried coming back last year and sucked. Anyways his numbers are terrific again. WHIP under 1, and the elite strikeout numbers that have been associated with him at every level. He's bit old for AA at 25 but also understandable given his pprevious injury. -
Rowand was the worstttt

http://t.co/ekTNP8zfnX ugh this article is spreading like wildfire and it's gross. Such complete holier-than-thou trash and reads like a thinly veiled attack on Kane.
-
Rose opting out of Team USA. Not surprised. He fears getting embarrassed and no was was he making the final cut barring a lot of injuries.

QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 03:36 PM) How likely is Samardzija moved via waivers? I'd say unlikely. Hell if I'm the Red Sox or A's, teams with first dibs, I claim him. Hope for the very long shot of a salary dump and take the comp pick.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 02:52 PM) I assumed the NHL takes violence against women as seriously as the NFL now does. I would count on not having Patrick Kane of at least 20 games if I'm the Blackhawks. Hitting a woman is not the same as rape. If he's convicted of rape or somehow there's damning evidence he'd never play in the NHL. Otherwise it's he said vs she said. Not the case with domestic violence where there is often easily physical evidence or witnesses available. Rape is obviously the more severe crime but it's also one that comes with MUCH more benefit of the doubt.

QUOTE (BigFinn @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) I'm as frustrated by Tyler Flowers' lack of offense, but his defense is amazing. He's listed, by Statcorner.com, as #2 in MLB for pitch framing behind Francisco Cervelli of the Pirates. Gio Soto is #14. Out of 95. I don't know how important pitch framing is compared to throwing out base runners or getting an occasional base knock (professional statisticians argue about the relative weights of these stats), but Flowers' pitch framing is why he is the preferred catcher behind the plate, especially compared to A.J. in years past. If the Sox had decent players at all the other positions, we could carry a defense-first catcher. It doesn't help that we have a defense-first DH! That site just shows he's been below average to maybe average at framing every year except this one. That's to even give that stat any credit at all. There's not a lot of evidence it's real or matters. His defense is not "amazing" at all.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 11:26 AM) There was a local case just last week where a 22 year old guy was charged with statutory rape for having sex with a 15 year old he met at a bar. Being that she was in a bar he had pretty good reason to believe she was legal. Seemed like a s***ty deal for the guy. Obviously no details in Kane's case yet, but it sounds like it could be the same kind of thing. I believe thay case was a Craigslist meet up gone wrong. Either way nothing to indicate this was statutory here.

Rock, almost certain you got duped by a fake Bernstein account.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 09:11 AM) please dish the details Sexual assault. I guess that would explain cops being secretive. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Doesn't Kane have a girlfriend? I was vip with him at a club 3 weeks back. His relationship must be pretty "open" then.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 08:02 AM) hmmm. Doesnt seem like it is felony worthy. Kind of seems like he got in a fight with someone if i were to guess anything Kane, move your family out of Buffalo. STOP GOING THERE, ITS NO GOOD FOR YOU. lol To me the fact that they are investigating says felony to me. If it was simple bar fight they'd charged them with whatever and be on their way. Also the twitter rumors don't look too good either.

Lol sucks for Trayce and the Thompson family. Nice job Robin.

Let's hear some names. I'll start with some obvious ones that'll get tossed around: 1. Ozzie Guillen- His .524 winning percentage with the Sox is a lot better than Ventura's. Left on bad terms though. 2. Dave Martinez- The next great manager according to everyone but the 30 GMs running teams. Worrisome that he hasn't been hired yet, particularly by the Rays. 3. Joe McEwing- Perennial managerial and been with the Sox awhile now. Good 3rd base coach outside whatever the f*** 2 nights ago was. 4. Sandy Alomar Jr- The coveted catcher to manager move. Being groomed as a manager by the Indians. Obvious Sox ties. 5. Joey Cora- Key part of the Guillen "glory days" but without the shenanigans. Vanderbilt educated.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 05:36 PM) The best GM in baseball should have at least one World Series ring. I know that's a lofty goal and all, but it's true. But...he does have a world series ring.

Is he a Sox fan? I know he's from Palos and still comes back to town, so chances are high that he is. Probably doesn'thelp much though. edit: oh he started with the sox. Didn't realize that.

Nick Hostetler Promoted to Director of Amateur Scouting
Buehrle>Wood replied to Y2Jimmy0's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 11:01 AM) many thanks. It's by league first though. So if JD Martinez was let go by Astros, AL team, he would have been claimed by Tigers with a middle order claim since they get to go before any NL team.
