Tennessee-Martin junior guard Lester Hudson recorded what is believed to be the first quadruple-double in Division I men's basketball history on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-3 Hudson scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, had 10 assists and 10 steals in 31 minutes in a 116-74 victory over Central Baptist College.

http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news?slug=co...n&type=lgns 3rd post-season college basketball tournament. Interesting. Those not familar with the Gazelle group(http://www.gazellegroup.com/cvcclassic/), those are the people who run the CvC and CBE along with a few other preseason tournies.

I watched a lot of it PH. Funny thing is, I thought it was a replay. Not used to HS all star games this early. Lance Stephenson, he's the one from Brooklyn, right? He was amazing, best player on the court when I was watching. Of course, he was mainly pulling off street ball moves, but he is going to be BIG TIME. Tyreke Evans, as you said, just unstoppable. BJ Mullins, wow, talk about your deceptive athlete. One look at him and you wouldn't think he's much. But he threw down a couple nice dunks last night(That alley-oop, wow). I was impressed.

QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 14, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) Uncharted, which comes out next week, just got a 9.1 from IGN which is telling since IGN is typically harsh (aka biased) against the PS3. Uncharted is getting reviews basically saying it is one of, if not the best PS3 game yet. Also, for those who care, the original PS3 review of AC which criticized the FPS and screen tearing has been edited with that section removed. Bascially the reviewer lied to justify giving the 360 version a higher score and someone called them on it. Yeah I don't know why the 360 one would be better. AC PS3 was the lead if you could say there was one, so I don't know how it would end up being worse.

I would suggest EGM if anything. There's a few websites out there that give away 12 month subscriptions to EGM for free(No catches or anything, just hand over your name and address). I've been doing that for a couple of years now and it's worked out great. EGM is the standard of the industry IMO. Best reviewers(Very harsh, which I prefer), previews, new coverage, solid rumors, etc. The writing is also significantly better than what you will find in other magazine.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 14, 2007 -> 04:38 AM) Really weird looking SI cover for the Big Ten region this week... I don't know how they worked that out, but DJ's contorted hardcore. Yeah, that's terrible. A basic pose would have been fine.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 11:53 PM) Ooo someone is a little sensitive. Pick up on the tongue in cheek manor that I posted. it certainly would have changed the score as Ill scored 7 right after. Lost by 7, would have been interesting to say the least. I dont need to get into it, but anyone watching that game was questioning some of the officiating. After reading this, I'm 100% certain you did not mean it in tongue and cheek.

QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 11:20 PM) MGS is probably the new psp game. Assassins Creed is getting some great reviews. I think I'll be picking that up tomorrow. I still want it though. Don't know what they could possibly be complaining about, it looks excellent. GameSpot is usually the harshest reviewer, and they gave it a 9, so.

Mario Galaxy does have a 97.4 on Gamerankings(http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages4/915692.asp), which would make it the 2nd best game ever behind Zelda 64.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops I think. Although I thought that game came out awhile ago, maybe another one then. Mario Galaxy isn't in there.

How does IU, a damned good defensive team last year, give up 50 points at home in one half to Chatanooga, a team that ranked 251 in offensive efficiency last year?

The NIT is screaming for a big-time upset. I just haven't decided wether it will be 'Cuse against Siena/SJU or OSU against W-GB/Delaware State. Maybe even Utah over Washington. I must say though that I actually like how the NIT challenges it's hosts to make it out of their regional unlike all other preseason tournaments.

Illinois' basketball fans travel as well as anyone out there. I'm guessing the same would be the case for the football team, basketball school or not.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 12, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) With the exception of the Rose bowl. you're position in the Big ten matters not as much as how much of a TV and, more importantly, ticket draw you can be. A bowl can pick any bowl eligible team within one win of the top remaining team. For instance: If Michigan wins on Saturday, ILL will fall quickly... No matter what they do against NW. A 9-win Mich gets the rose bowl. a 10 win OSU will be chosen for the Cap One bowl. Leaving the other 3 8-3 teams (potentially 9-3 teams) to fight it out for the lone remaining Jan 1 bowl. Rose: Mich Cap One: OSU Outback: PSU/Wisky/ILL Alamo: PSU/Wisky/ILL Champs: ILL It comes down to $$. PSU and Wisconsin can guarantee fannies in the seats and eyeballs on the tube. ILL can't, or can't to the same degree that PSU and Wisconsin can. Michigan "doesn't travel as well" after a loss to OSU, or at least that was the reasoning a couple of years ago when Iowa got an outback bowl bid over Mich, so an OSU win could really help the ILL. But I would still think that an 8 win Mich (with a hopefully healthy Henne and Hart) would be more attractive to Bowl Organizers than ILL. If it does indeed come down to money(Though there was a CO BOWL rep on TV this week talking about how they would choose the best team for their bowl and money would come second. Yes I realize that he paid to say that, but I would like to see some examples that contradict his statement.), Illinois, having by the best resume of the teams involved, could very easily be placed in the Capitol One Bowl, if their opponent is Florida at least.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 12, 2007 -> 08:29 AM) I heard somebody say they thought Illinois was gonna go to the Cap One bowl, and if not the Outback... I laughed a little and took a look at it... Rose: Michigan/OSU Winner Cap One OSU(if loses), Wiscy/PSU (with wins) (Mich would be 8-4 w/ a loss so they might fall behind a 9 win WISC or PSU) Outback Michigan (with loss) Wisky/PSU/ILL (with wins) Alamo: Will pick the lone remaining non-ILL team from the Wisky,PSU,Mich clan. Champs: Illinois -- Champs gets a good team, maybe a better team than Mich/PSU/Wisky, but a team without the drawing power of those 3. Insight: Purdue/Iowa -- Iowa has the bigger draw/traveling road show, but they've looked terrible in pretty much every game. $$ wins out, Iowa will get the bid (as long as they beat WMU, which isn't a given) Motor City: Purdue (as long as MSU doesn't win) an MSU win and they'll be the biggest possible draw here. Indy's only route in is a win over Purdue, plus an Iowa and MSU loss Northwestern's only route in is a win over ILL, plus and Iowa, MSU, and INDY loss. Illinois needs MSU to beat PSU (plus a win over NW, obviously) to possibly get into the Outback or assure themselves of the Alamo. An MSU win also puts one of Purdue/Iowa on the outside looking in. In that scenario, I think it might be Iowa as the team left out, because there's no way that every bowl passes on an 8 win Purdue. Iowa would, no doubt, be snatched up in a second as an at-large by some crappy bowl. With a win, Illinois ties for 2nd in the Big Ten. They're going to the Outback/CO.
