All I'm waiting for now is to hear Hahn thought Lozano was bluffing about there being a higher offer, while KW was adamant they should go higher (or vice versa). Something definitely strange took place, as I can't imagine KW saying how pissed off he was if it was simply not being able to hit the 300 mark.

I prefer having the Phillies think Boras is bluffing about higher offers and them only sticking to their offer, and then Boras saying "fine, you're out" to Phillies. I'm sure that would never work in the world of professional sports though

So just listened to Hahn on the Kaplan show, and holy cow does the organization sound worse and worse as the hours go on. He told Kaplan that he agreed that he wishes things weren't so visible about their attempts to get Manny. Wasn't Rick the same one that interrupted a lineup question to Renteria to say something along the lines of "who knows if a 3-4-5 hitter is added"? Also Hahn again said how much happier he is that the Sox were involved in this than if they were on the sidelines.

They're going to get another starting pitcher. At this point, I would be furious if they sign CarGo or Jones.

Phillies not going to a huge number for Manny or Corbin is overrated. It's very likely they were reserved with those two because Bryce is their main target and they need to make sure to have enough to get him.

To be fair, one thing we don't know is if the Padres would have gone even higher than 10/300 if the Sox were willing to hit 300?
