Time for greg to worry he's going to sign with KC and destroy the Sox

Which closers are going to be cheaper?

If the Red Sox do trade for Cervelli, I wonder if the WSox go after Swihart.

So does this mean Segura is going to Philly?

The same Omar that made it look like each game was the first time he was putting on catcher’s gear

They can upgrade other places for offense. The framing needed immediate improvements for the team, so this should help.

To his credit, it does look like the only damage he gave up last year in Seattle was due to an increase in HR/IP

I think they go after a lefty backup catcher.

And the Sox had no closer on the roster

Just for fun, Colome was teammates with Manny Machado during WBC

Funny thing is Colome always seemed to struggle when I watched him vs the Sox, but his peripherals have been really good for a while.

No he said the Mariners were making 3 separate trades

Wow, had a feeling that guy was right. Not a fan of this but at least the defense improves.

Be more than that (I was thinking Sheets +), and it’s not a deal you make if you’re not intending to make more upgrades.

No idea if this is legit, but this just popped up: https://mobile.twitter.com/TrentBooty/status/1068369993107103744

If and when they non-tender him, it better not be to bring in Adam Jones

Here's the problem with everyone saying we have "money to burn". So do other teams like the Phillies and Yankees, and they've been planning for this offseason for a long time.

I would have been fine if they gave up Robert for him as the significant piece.

Also let me add that if you can use Madrigal as the center piece in a trade to get an "ace" with 3 or more years of control, then you absolutely should consider it.

yep if other organizations place high value on guys like Collins, Rutherford, Hansen and Dunning, now is the time to move some of them as they could easily become "non-prospects" after next season if they struggle and/or continue having injury issues. I still am upset they didn't go harder after Yelich last year.

His skills seem better fit for CF than 3rd. 3rd seems like a disaster waiting to happen for him as he was at his worst when having to field grounders off to his side due to not having the softest of hands.

Schoop to 2nd, Manny to 3rd, Yoan to CF. Again it’s a longshot but makes about as much sense as being interested in Nelson Cruz.

Schoop was simply awful with the Brewers. I will say that he is extremely close with Machado, so if the Sox show interest in him and Cruz, it could be intriguing.

Agreed, and IMO Machado is target 1a, 1b, 1c, etc

Numerous Chicago media members were saying during the season that Theo and company were fed up with Russell’s antics off the field, and not just the abuse accusation.
