  1. QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 04:31 PM) He's not going to confirm much on the topic, but was there any sense they are still looking to add a significant bat and/or any other help via free agency? Said they have to get creative, but to me he seemed pretty optimistic they could find a way.
  2. Again, maybe it's me, but I thought Hahn made a great argument for why they won't go into massive rebuilding mode anytime in the next few years. Also, thought it was refreshing that he mentioned the loss of revenue they'd have if they did do that.
  3. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) Do they have to? It's pretty obvious. He was on to talk about the trade. Usually that means a chance to talk about the actual trade.
  4. Hahn also was talking about Avi next year and said something along the lines of "if no one else is added and he gets 500 at bats"
  5. Maybe it's me, but it sure sounds like they will get a new RF
  6. Keith Law was on 1000 at same time and loved the Frazier acquisition
  7. Haven't really asked about what Frazier can provide
  8. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) This is an embarrassing interview from Goff and Spiegel. ****ing dumb. I see why the Sox would boycott this channel
  9. Worst interview questions ever. The Score is a disgrace now
  10. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 05:44 AM) Hayes told me he thought Todd Frazier was "cost prohibitive" 6 days ago. He's a cool dude & I like that he interacts with people but I don't think he's has much of a clue what's going on within the organization. I'll trust Nightengale at this point & guys like Levine, etc. He kept saying it was Anderson plus more. Merkin seemed more confident, even posting a random Frazier story a few days ago from a few years ago
  11. Lots of tweets that Angels won't go after big outfielder as it would push them over luxury tax threshold
  12. Good thread...I truly believe defense has become very overrated in terms of statistical ratings
  13. I will be shocked if Micah Johnson gets a lot of at bats. I like him as a person, so hopefully he becomes their designated pinch runner late in games.
  14. A starting pitcher that's available that makes sense if you are going all in....Mark Buehrle
  15. I always felt like Daniel Murphy would be a great signing for the Angels for their infield.
  16. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 12:52 AM) I will say the Dodgers will have a nasty prospect rotation. Just said it on MLBN (Montas, Urias, De Leon, Anderson, Lee) You mean the Marlins in a few days
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 12:43 AM) No new oufielder and Saladino at SS means the Frazier deal is essentially for naught... Sure if you anticipate everything going wrong like it did last year
  18. Also, it would be great if the Orioles sign Chris Davis
  19. Tigers are a big threat for Cespedes, IMO
  20. They signed R. Davis today as well. Another guy who will play all the time vs the Sox due to LHP
  21. Probably the wrong thread, but Angels might be out of the outfield sweepstakes now: Jeff Fletcher ‏@JeffFletcherOCR 8m8 minutes ago The Angels have signed Daniel Nava to a one year deal. Could be the LF platoon with Gentry.
  22. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:38 PM) Love the trade, I did like all 3 prospects we traded but none of them are can't miss guys and if anything it seems like trance/Micah will be future bench guys. I also stopped crying over losing mediocre prospects after being so upset about olivo/reed for Freddy Garcia. Those guys were far superior to this group
  23. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:33 PM) With strong Cuban leadership from Abreu perhaps Puig would be a decent fit. I dunno though. There were heavy rumors a few years ago that they didn't care for each other
  24. This is just comical: JONATHAN GRAFF ‏@JLGPROD 2h2 hours ago Did the #Whitesox give up too much young talent for Todd Frazier? #WhiteSoxTalk -best answers at 6pm on @CSNChicago I literally haven't heard one negative comment in the Chicago media about Theo's moves so far. Amazing how Trayce Thompson went from a mid-level prospect to the next sure thing. Not only that, I'm sure 90% of the Chicago media didn't even watch a Sox game in the last two months.
